    I think the grooves would fill with epoxy and help stop it twisting also...

    Do you know if it’s ok to run finishing thread epoxy up to the tip of the pole? I want to put a design almost to the tip of the rod, but I’m afraid the bend in the pole may damage the finished epoxy that far up. Any suggestions?

      @jacobweidle6692 - great question Jacob and yes, there are people who run finish almost to the tip, but do not do that as I believe it effects the action of the rod.
