You cant that happens as soon as you unlock the bootloader meaning you will get this error even if you dont complete root. You can lock the bootloader again as long as you didnt make changes to the system files other wise your gonna get a corruption error and will be force to recover the stock image

@@ChaitraG95 yes, you have to put it into maintenance mode with an unbrick tool and then press a key combination. The screen remains black, but your PC OS (in my case Windows) recognizes the smartphone and you can flash a new FW. There is a forum where you get everything listed sorted. I decided on Android 9 and after successful installation (and also relocking of bootloader) updated to Android 10/ OOS10 via local update. I left it like that until today. But I also switched from Oneplus to Pixel 6 and now 7Pro and haven't tried anything new since then.
Future updates seem unlikely. I'd advice sticking to OS10 for fluid performance and good battery backup. You can update to OS11 if you prefer latest Android with technical superiority and visual upgrades.

Not working.. keep getting "bootloops".. aka, logo keeps loading and never gets into the OS. And yes, I used the proper patched file, as the original boot.img I extracted makes the system work again.
for some reason when I'm trying to install the ADB drivers, in the second step, install system-wide. it gives me an error that says [the system cannot find the specify path] which I find weird also the 7pro is carrier lock , I guess I have to talk to t mobile to unlock it
