Ronnie wrote this song in prison while looking in the mirror. He's actually talking to himself. He's talking about being his own worst enemy and how he causes himself pain.. Loved your reaction and I was wishing you'd react to it just the other day!
This pretty much confirms my thoughts. Some of his songs are, in effect, journaling. Therapists ask people to do this to chart their moods and emotions. Popular Monster reads like a therapy journal. Now that I listen to these lyrics as if I’m sitting down writing them about my feelings, not only are doors opening in my mind to how I self-sabotage, but how he writes them. Which makes me believe anyone could do this, but how many people would be okay singing their innermost thoughts to the world?
I always appreciate the way you approach all these artists and what they are saying with such a validating but guiding approach. You don’t reject the dark thoughts of these people, you acknowledge them, relate with them, but guide to a better outlook. I think a lot of that is your passion to help and love people, but much of it must be the forgiveness you have experienced through Christ and your desire to forgive and love others as a result. Praise God, and keep it going Tom.
The drag a coffin and running from the past made me think that at times we treat our past like a ball and chain attached to our ankle and we try to ignore and run from it but it holds us back till we take the ball and work on carrying it than dragging it. Once we leaned to carry and live with our past we become stronger in ways we didn’t think we were able to. Therapy at times is how we learn to carry that ball with us instead of dragging it.
I love an artist that can do everything. This song and video really hits home. The "can't you see" in the burning building reminds me of the feeling where the misery and pain seems like it's going to burn to the ground but no one outside can even tell.
I can’t remember if you listned to the original “The Drug in Me is You” music video. This song is a reimagined version of the original.. if not, you need to watch that video. That’s the original Ronnie Radke
If you do more falling in reverse reactions I recommend pick up the phone and brother. Both have very different sounds and are about very different experiences with different psychological impacts on someone who goes through them
Much Love from Germany ❤️🔥 ... In my oppinion, Ronnie is a genius musician! And I hope... everyone, who listen to his Lyric's recognize: Ronnie is always telling the truth ❣️ ... especially the truth about things- most people don't want to talk about! ... and I really love the way he use words/language❣️ He never use "swear words", he never insults or accuses anyone ... ... just reflect himself without "whitewash" anything! I believe ... if we really like to change something in our life... first step is always to understand: We have to start by ourselfs- before pointing with one finger to other people❣️ Take all care & Love for everyone ❤️🔥
Mr. @reactiontherapy, I used Popular Monster, The Drug in Me is You, Losing My Life and I'm Not a Vampire to help me get sober; the lyrics play on repeat in my head.
this is what im struggling with very much right now ... what is the point ... feeling like you have zero purpose and that things are pointless.... ive had this struggle for 15 plus years and never understood where the thoughts come from
you should react to "Stick Season" by Noah Kahan. this song is so beautiful but so so sad at the same time. also you should react to some Deftones songs. your work is amazing and i love your channel
I’ve asked this before and got nothing, is there a reason you haven’t watched voices in my head? Does it strike a bad cord? His songs and lyrics are insanely harsh and 100% in a way his own therapy to release.
ReactionTherapy you should definitely follow this one up with "I'M Not A Vampire: Revamped". another beautiful re-imagining of an older song
