Which Samsung EVO PRO microSD cards to use with Gopro Hero 10 and Sony ZV-1 for 4k/5k recording?

- Samsung sells many variations of microSDXC cards. Maximum advertised performance usually apply to 256GB and larger capacity. I share my quest in buying the best cards for 4k/5k recording using Gopro Hero and other cameras.

The Pro Plus is essentially a replacement for the more durable Pro Endurance Samsung used to provide

Thank you for the review and performance info. I too made my purchase based on this video (navy blue 128 gb). I just purchased my first go pro hero9 and i had a 32gb card. Noticed the horrible performance and lack of space right of the bat especially when recording in 4/5k. So far 128GB is working great!

Both are rated for -25C operating temperature so I would check the device specs first followed by weather in Iceland. ;)

Yes, I've run some tests but decided to not to make a video since there was zero demand from my subscribers. Your card reader will be the bottleneck if using SD adapter. Faster performance will be achieved using the USB adapter now bundled with Samsung Pro Plus cards here: amzn.to/3eoy0CO
Well I ran a test were I transfer 20 gigs from the blue card to my hard drive with adapter.. A good 125 130, 💪🏿💪🏿🎯🎯

Would I have any benefit using the pro for a Nintendo switch console instead of the plus
I doubt the cards make any difference as both cards exceed Nintendo's UHS-I and 95MB/sec read speed.

I got white 256 for car camera
Once you got them did you have any issues on the GoPro ? As they claim these aren’t supported and I have had issues in the past with GoPros and Samsung cards.
Gopro officially supports Sandisk because that's what they test. This could be due to their "marketing partnership" or limitation due to lack of resources to test all permutations of different brands. It's important to focus on write speed and I have not had any difference between Samsung vs Sandisk cards. Always remember to format new cards using Gopro's camera utility.
@@udtrader yeah I understand why and how that works but there are issues with certain SD cards in GoPros. Just don’t know about the dark blue Samsung

I tend to use the white ones I got a 256 and a 512
I hope I just ordered the correct one 😂. I only got a 256 for my phone. I thought it was cheap enough that I could upgrade and give the one I just got to my daughter.
