I know that two Ukrainian brigades were dissolved (AFU announced this) just yesterday. The 25th Airmobile (who surrendered en masse over the weekend), and one I didn't know about until today that abandoned their positions in Chaov Yar. That is at least several hundred soldiers gone from the battle so whether the "900 killed" is true or not, the result is disaster for AFU.
I tried to find the source. The only source I found was in Russian. Surprise surprise. I could not find any AFU source announcing this.

Under pressure from the US and its allies and bolstered by initial success, Zelensky decreed not to negotiate with Putin. This has put Ukraine in a very difficult situation. It wants peace but does not know how to circumvent the decree.
Lesson: Always think twice before you act. You never know tomorrow.
Putin does not want peace, he wants a part of Ukraine. Ukraine does not want Zelensky to negotiate part of Ukraine away, it has nothing to do with circumventing any decree.
Violating any decree would not bother Zelensky at all. He has not honored anything he has agreed on.
