I met Paul Senior in April. He was pleasant and offered to take pictures with us. We didn’t ask for pics or anything. We just saw him sitting at the bar. As we walked by we said hi. He stopped us and took the time to have a conversation. Seemed like a decent dude.
Choppers didn't start out as fancy art pieces that couldn't be rode. Choppers literally meant that everything unnecessary is CHOPPED off. True choppers are very minimal bare bones bikes. A throttle, a brake and a if you're lucky you get a Speedo 😂 Back in the day they did make TRUE raked out choppers but then they veered off track sometime in their show. Their early bikes were actually pretty nice
Honestly the video game was really fun when i was younger. You get to drive custom choppers around an open world, but i dont remeber to many of the story missions
I'm from Duchess County NY. Just across the Hudson River from Orange County NY. I was a contractor on the OCC building. I made a lot of money from that job and it was a cool building and a awesome restaurant Paul had. To bad non of it lasted long.
I don't think Allstate is in Northbrook, Illinois any more. They sold and demolished their long-time corporate headquarters last year. You might want to check in with your sponsor.
Those episodes were sad. Sr lowkey reminded me of my dad. He was a union excavation operator and had a pretty vicious temper and my brother was one of the only people that could tolerate working for him. While the drama could be annoying, it's pretty important to document the toxic work/family relationships that can grow.
The thing about choppers, yes they are art, yes they are uncomfortable and awkward to ride. But that doesn't mean they're not meant to be ridden. How many hot rods out there are comfortable, or ride like an every day car? Some, but not many! And those that are i would call barely even hot rods.
I've been to the OCC Roadhouse in Florida and that was a good time. They have some cool bikes inside on display and the food was good. Real biker stuff. Sometimes you can sometimes catch Paul Sr. hanging around there.
Dan was mention he just didn’t appear a lot. I think you see him maybe once couse I vaguely remember from rewatching recently. Might just be I was looking him up.
Paul Sr. is actually really cool. A lot of the "drama" content was demanded by the Discovery. Check out the interview with Paul Sr. on the Oil & Whiskey Ironclad podcast. It's a good one.
Yeah it SHOCKS me to no end that they still sponsor every single podcast I listen to, and all the biggest podcasts in their genre. It’s truly crazy to me
and the best part is, it has been universally agreed up that the bikes they made were/are complete garbage. p.s why no donut crocs? the world of warcraft bikes were dope
I wasn't a fan of American Chopper. First off, they never made any parts, just got them delivered and put a bike together. Second, as you said, these bikes were all about marketing. Which isn't very interesting to me. Say what you will about Jesse James, he built and road choppers, and made parts.
Do u remember monster house? The monster garage spin off where they ruined people's houses? Now ladies and gentlemen that's deep cable...or buzzkill the jackass proto type? Or, the episode of junkyard wars that had randomly Ed China before he was on wheeler dealers? So D-holesthats the kind of adhd riddled genius u'll get by hiring Ryan Adams 👍
Aw yeah Monster House! Where they'd redo two rooms and act like they redid the house. And it turned out a bunch of the people weren't happy about what they did and a bunch of stuff had code issues.
I have 2 brothers and a sister. Was raised as an only child moving around California from one apartment to another/ family members house. So im a mix of only child and middle child syndrome.. im fine i am. Lol. We all have different dads or Mother's.The last time I saw one my older brothers. He kicked me in the face as we were running up stairs to go play mario 3. I fell down the stairs and broke my nose His dad said it was because the divorce was rough on him.(2nd divorce not my mom) His dad never let him visit us again. We didn't see him again until he was 19 going into the Marines in like 2001 . I haven't seen him since hey chad 👋.
Eh OCC's cool and all but we need a jesse james episode, he had monster garage, west coast customs, jesse james is a dead man, his gun company, ect. Dude is a car and bike goat. Plus jesse jame's bikes actually work 😅
I have never in my entire life of being into cars which has been my whole life my dad brother and uncles are all mechanics...I have never ever heard anyone pronounce Hancook that way ...not once...is that how you say cook or cookout
And thats one of many reasons at 41, I do not feel like a millennial. Never listened to cky, it was kid music when I was enlisting. 🤷♂️ did not watch DBZ or Power Rangers.
Jesus goatdamn christ on toast. Like 6 comercials in an hour show that could have been 10 minutes. I passed this show up for a reason I guess. Pathetic.
The show was good for a few years then it turned into nothing but 2 huge dudes bitching and moaning about everything constantly it wasn't anything but a soap opera eventually
My dad to this day still dresses like Paul sr. Has the bar handle mustache and a few tattoos. Lol ... kudos to Jesse James for making dickies popular hahaha Hire Ryan D Adams
Hey DONUT! If I Sent you a crt tv/vcr combo with a ridiculous audition tape , would you watch it? Sounds stupid which makes it perfect rite? So hurry up and hire Ryan Adams Application available at past gas sponsor Indeed Again Ryan Adams
“The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has announced a proposed action against the online therapy service BetterHelp, Inc. for mishandling consumers' private health information, particularly regarding mental health issues, and using it for advertisement purposes.”
I think that it would be a good idea to have Jeremiah Burton on future motorcycle-focused episodes of Past Gas.
Yeah, they fumbled the bag on this one lol
I lost it 😂
Joe: “I wouldn’t called Homer abusive”
James: “He strangled Bart all the time”
Joe: “Oh yeah that’s abusive”

Like Donnie Diapers he has an abundance of emotional volatility and vision but lacks intelligence and a business acumen to foster those visions.
I didn't watch this show much but in hindsight I would love to have that time back.
IKR 😂
I will never get over finding out that they didn’t really build the Geico Chopper.
How many other ones were outsourced?
And that it was a piece of sh#t. Watched some other dudes channel a couple of months back who bought it
@@Masna_ bikes and beard
Crazy, right? And George Clooney never actually performed an emergency heart transplant. It's a TV show, bro. And not a very good one.
bikes n beards is the shit!
I think a lot of us here probably watched this show with our dads me and my dad always watched this show
I was an assembler at walmart at the time. The OCC bicycles were a huge Xmas seller.
Bro! I miss rhose
4:23 not driving a car is like saving your girlfriend for the next guy.
Making fun of "loving insurance" with a gigantic Allstate logo behind your head.
I miss the early days of the show, it was a good time with the girlfriend watching. The world is so drastically different now.
I don't think Allstate is in Northbrook, Illinois any more. They sold and demolished their long-time corporate headquarters last year. You might want to check in with your sponsor.
Allstate still has their official business address in Northbrook.
@@laurenmp7486 3100 Sanders Road Northbrook, IL 60062 is a vacant lot.
Does Joe know that he's the comic relief on these podcasts? 🤣🤣🤣 Love ya Joe.
When i think “Orange County” I think Orlando Fl (where im from) 😂😂😂
Same but California
Cristo Doyle was also the show runner for Goldrush Alaska. That guy knows how to make reality TV.
I mean, I've been in shops all my life and sometimes guys just got to throw things and cus each other out. Then you go back to work

Crazy story, loved that show. Not surprised the bikes are not the best, they are more sculptures than vehicles to be driven.
I'm gonna miss James.
“Leather is like fruit leather to dogs” 😂
I've been to the OCC Roadhouse in Florida and that was a good time. They have some cool bikes inside on display and the food was good. Real biker stuff. Sometimes you can sometimes catch Paul Sr. hanging around there.
The reading of the quotes 😂
The fact these guys know all about cky is sick Off topic but, miss them days
I enjoyed watching them build, you can actually get something from the show, even if you don't like the finished bike
All the "theme" bikes sold to corporations were never meant to be ridden. They were like a logo.
Is this James' last episode? 👀👀👀
I once spent xmas day stuck watching an occ marathon. It was beautiful and terrible watching this train wreck
Dan was mention he just didn’t appear a lot. I think you see him maybe once couse I vaguely remember from rewatching recently. Might just be I was looking him up.
I used to were crocs as chef, i would not be seen dead in them outside of work, there for people that dond know how to put shoes on
There was also a show called Monster House that was pretty good.
We need a West Coast Choppers episode.
How did I know James would start singing "'round here...."? Like, that's just uncanny.
'didn't have a shoestring budget; that's why they used crocs' 100
Paul Sr. is actually really cool. A lot of the "drama" content was demanded by the Discovery. Check out the interview with Paul Sr. on the Oil & Whiskey Ironclad podcast. It's a good one.
Mikey was the best of the family, definitely the hippie out of them
That ad read had me thinking my hand hit another video 😂
Would you let me buy lowcar if I put it on my ceiling?
Lol needed this one. Great ep, more motorcycle stuff pls
31:40 Hey James. It’s raining in Baltimore… 😂
Team Vinny, Cody, and Mikey
I'm curious. You say you won't sell your cars with is completely fine and understandable. But what do you do with the cars you are done with? Crusher?
If you look in the background of when they are outside, they are all parked there lol
Better help is a scam. Please look into your sponsors better donut

Bro tell me about it, I just got a pair of white and black crocs and spent $60 on them lol

Was this the last episode that has James?
Dude what is that shirt that says cowgirl but has pictures of kittens (??)
