I heard the Bevis Frond version originally and my first reaction was 'surely TFC have to cover this?!' I love both to be honest. My love for The Fannies just edges it though.
Better than the original with the harmonies and the voice inflections in the verses....these guys must have listened to nothing but The Byrds back in the day. They are a modern incarnation of them. Great.
Great band. Should be ashamed of themselves continuing with Gerard Love. Also, I saw them in Korea and they were terrible. They were clearly hungover from Japan. The lack of professionalism is why they never truly made it big.
A great job on a great song by Nick Saloman of The Bevis Frond
A beautiful song. (Une chanson magnifique)
Their backing vocals are honey to my ears !
I've listened to it over and over too.
One person with cloth ears,One of the best bands ever
I used to cover this song. I need to start playing it again. One of my favorite Bevis Frond songs.
Spectacular. The Barrowlands 3 nighters was the best musical experience of my life. Never mind the biggest trip down memory lane.
Love this rendition, great song and a great version
This song is a mirage/miracle.
This is absolutely delightful.
Really nice version of Nick's song, well done guys
Saw the Bevis frond a couple of months ago! 👌
Amazing cover of an equally amazing song
So beautiful voice
Just perfect power pop
At their best! Brilliant!
Very good!
Wonderful song. Wish Teenage Fanclub would release a collection of the B-sides - lot's of great songs there that most people haven't heard...
Roger Davidson I know (and the original is pretty good as well), but it was also a B-Side on the "I don't want control of you"-single...
Sublime. Perfect.
got to be one of my favourite songs. I would buy the band based on the song. :)
Its a cover of a song by The Bevis Frond. Even greater than the Fannies!
@@revporl2 Wow thanks Paul I wasn't aware and I must admit I agree with you 100% just watched the original, however the fannies did a no bad job :)
Had more time to analyse it now. The Fanclub killed it.
I'm pretty sure I must make up for at least 20% of the views of this video :)
How good is this song man!
amazing
fanstic.. i love this guys
Magic

Nothing can touch Nick's original... but, holy hell, this is damn close.
Sublime
Goddam!!! This song is #Fire.
ladies and germs: The Byrds. Actor John C McGinley on leads. Kiefer Sutherland on drums. Robert Quay on blues guitar. Pete Townsend on bass.
Suggestion for TH-cam: let us like a video 1000 times. I'd do that for this one
The ghost of Gene Clark touched their souls.
They do sound a whole lot like the Byrds on this one.

Does anyone want to join my Beavis Frond tribute act based in Edinburgh - Butthead Friand. We need drums, bass, guitar and lead singer
Who the fuck put a thumbs down for this? Eh? Fucking out yersel. You have a swinging brick furra heart. Mon the Fanclub. 💚
👏🏻❤️🥃
Looks like Bill Gates. Sounds like the Bevis Frond. Play 'Drowned'.
This band was great. Then G L left.
😢

Agree with all but your first point. *Except* for the harmonies, this version is kinda bland, imho.
Das Original ist um Längen besser
Wonderful song and way better than the original.
The Fannies are good but they can't approach the majesty of the original. Vocals are too strained here.
Is the correct answer.
Comparisons are pointless. Just enjoy the music.
No one can beat the original by nick saloman... i haven't heard any frond version better than nick's yet
@@SuperMikedonovan so true
An unpaid analyst who shag??? What does it mean?

Some shite you talk. 😅😅😅
Why would they be ashamed about Gerard Love? Honestly not judging your opinion, just genuinely curious.
Some shite you talk
Algo realmente aconteceu ,pois o nivel da banda e absurdo, nunca ouvi uma banda com tantas musicas boas.
