Hunter was bullied as a kid for being so different. Musical. Knew who and what he wanted to be. Head in his books, in his notebooks, in the clouds. He feels this on a cellular level. Also this song felt like my life story, too, Tasha.
This song really touches me because I can relate to it and still feel like I'm invisible and an outsider since I was a kid. Never told anyone about this but I've experienced with being bullied and abused not only in schools but also with family members and so-called friends, been called an "R" word and an "F" word because I want to be different than anyone else...and still being called those words till this day by family members and friends. That's another reason why I want to move out of Pittsburgh because I'm just tired of being invisible out here and want to be seen and heard as myself after being trapped here for almost 40 years of my life. Sorry buddy for my ramblings but I like sharing stories about my own life and something that's relatable to me after hearing great songs that the artists were or are going through. Great reaction as always buddy and thank you Dawn for this song.
Thank you for reacting to Hunter! You should also, check out his newer stuff! He has a song that came out in July called Missing You and he has a song coming out Friday called Could’ve Been You!
I think most everyone has had a time in their life when they wanted to be or felt invisible...it can either break us or make us stronger...but when it does both we can go from invisible to invincible!
I think everyone can relate to this song. Who has not been made to feel like an outsider or that you didn’t belong in a certain group? Not just kids, happens to adults all the time, just as you said Tasha. Loved your commentary. ✌️
