Out of the box, the Echelon is superior. Not a knock on Glock, but the Echelon has what every manufacturer should be putting on their pistols. Direct universal optic mounting system, texture all around, fantastic slide serrations, decent trigger, tritium sights and thumb rests. I understand that Glock is king when it comes to aftermarket support, but the Echelon doesn't really need a lot. Sure, more trigger upgrades would be nice, but it's not necessary.
@Chickenloven , you're clearly biased. It's okay if you don't like Springfield, but HS Produkt makes reliable and durable firearms. Also, just because it's made in America doesn't mean it's great. I guess you think Hi Point, Jiminez and SCCY are better than HK, CZ and Walther 😅

Shot the new Echelon Comp before released, and it worked fine but not going to replace my Glock. Because not worth changing my Glock gear etc. and not worth necessary training to adopt different platform. Summary, nothing wrong with Echelon if one is starting out or coming from previous versions.
I love the Glocks and completely agree that they're extremely reliable. With that said, ever since I purchased the Echelon, it has become my favorite. Love how it feels in my hand and the ergonomics are a vast improvement over the Glock, imho. They recently came out with the Echelon 4.0C, a compact model. If I didn't already have the Hellcat Pro, I'd definitely get the new 4.0C mainly for the ergonomics over the Hellcat Pro. Springfield is really upping their game!
It’s really all psychological, for the last 30 years all other polymer guns under 600$ sucked except for the Glock, the USP was superior but it was a grand and nobody wanted to pay a grand for a plastic gun, and since all other polymer pistols sucked Glock gained this reputation but the reality was the XD was just as reliable since the early 2000s but since 100s of other polymer guns had sucked nobody would have believed the xd was equal, now the echelon is the most superior but unfortunately so many people have been conditioned to think Glock is the best and since sig who made the best metal frame gun the 226 came out with a very subpar p320 most people would find it hard to believe a Random Croatian gun would be any better, so in a way all this crap from more brand name manufacturers has caused people to not believe Hs product is capable of such quality, it’s simply not true, the echelon is not only a Glock killer but any 9mm pistol killer so far in 2024 it is the best in every way possible. And nobody will believe it until it’s too late and discontinued years down the road, with the economy the dumb younger generation gun designers taking over I can confidently say the echelon will prolly be humanities best attempt at a polymer gun. Even hs product will have a impossible task outdoing the echelon. If this was made from a brand name manufacturer it would have been priced $1500+ .as expected most people will just complain I talked too much and come up with their own excuses and that’s the human heard mentality so who cares buy whatever you want makes no difference on me
The only thing I changed on my Echelon was the ambi mag release. When carrying it the mag release kept getting hit when sitting down in my car because the mag release would hit my seat belt latch on my seat and release the magazine without me knowing it. Later I’d find my gun without a mag. That could cost me my life. So I bought the Apex reversible mag release and no more issues. I wish they come out with a compact version of Echelon because I don’t like carrying full size pistols. Compacts are great, but full size is usually a bit long in the grip for my preference for carry.
They have releassed a compact version if it now. Thanks for watching. Please subscribe, share and visit my shop: Visit my shop: boomsticktacticalgear.com/
@ I bought one the day they released. I really like it except the ambi mag release. Have the Aoex reversible mag release in there and I ordered one from NDZ PERFORMANCE as well to see which is better. I haven’t received the NDZ reversible mag release yet, but it’s less than half of the cost of the Apex and also can be made ambi, or reversible simply by changing aluminum insert.

Glock is not the best combat pistol ever made.. SMH Glock is the cheapest pistol that won the contract. They work, that's about it. There's a reason why everyone that buy Glock always changes at least the sights, most likely they'll change the trigger, slide, add grip tape and get slide cuts. No they absolutely had a problem with the early extended baseplates as I found myself in possession of two of them. After contacting Springfield they sent me the updated design and I've had no problems since.
To me it's about what the gun costs and what I'm getting for my money. The echelon comes with more useful features right out of the box than Glock for the same money. If it is as reliable why would I buy the Glock? It's like the canik brand. Canik is as reliable as Glock, has a better trigger, more features and comes with more in the box than Glock for about $100 less in most cases. I'm very frugal and practical so the echelon makes better financial sense.
