Hey, btw, you should totally make a video on setting up VSCode for 2025 dev! Maybe even a series for SDEs, full-stack, or front-end setups for that '100x developer' vibe. Would be epic for those trying to level up fast!
Obvious reason and he explains this in his cursor vs aider/cline video cause Cursor forked VScode, added some functionalities and are essentially selling it as a service which is quite expensive in itself….you could spend the 20$ on anthropic models instead and get a lot more value from your buck.
I am getting this message while installing the extension:' The 'AI Toolkit for Visual Studio Code' extension is not available in Visual Studio Code for Mac. '
Thanks for the video! I am wondering - what is better MIcrosoft AI Toolkit or Codeium? It offers similar functionality and don't know if they can work simultaneously together
Why they dont make it work loke cursor, so we dont need to copy and paste, they made the editor, it should be easier for them, it would be perfect that whay
@@SjarMenace use multifile edit for that, using copilot, AI toolkit is not cursor competitor is for development purpose using gihtub API. It's much like AI studio where you test multiple modles and build on top of that
Because it seems to be geared towards AI devs who want to test their code against a catalog of models. It's not meant to be a code assistant. So not really a competitor to Cursor
Sooo...you can generate your code and then copy to where to create an app? Still learning to navigate this all. This is interesting being possible to use so many llms in one place.
cursor automatically creates and edits files with diffs and provides basically infinite claude 3.5 sonnet usage in my experience so I would recommend that as worth the extra $10.
Can you review black box Ai? Not like making a video but to see if it actually is real, it has fre got and sonnet Claude 3.5 but it just looks like gpt 4 or 3.5 acting like it
I wonder how long it will be before they make this extension interaction like composer in Cursor and vastly improve the clunky ui in a tab... I won't be using it short term, way too cumbersome for real work
What was so good about Cursor? I used it intensively for about 10 days. Whenever I asked why it did something. It started APOLOGIZING! "You are raising an important question and I am sorry yadeeyadaya...". Even when I never said it was wrong and I sort of agreed with its choices. And then it started pushing worse code in my face. AND THEN it just blindly assumed I preferred that latest, bad code and continued as if I implemented it. Completely breaking its own context. There is no way that is just me. You can't argue with Cursor it is a guaranteed recipe for disaster. It doesn't understand iterative collaboration. It confuses it with frustration.

I'll appreciate such a video too.
King is salty about Cursor for some reason 😂
Hahaha

He’s not salty but factual. VS Code Copilot has become as good, and it doesn’t cost 20 $. I started using Cursor, but I have dropped it now.
What is vs code copilot@@mehmetnaciakkk3983
Kings hate for cursor is my fave thing about the channel lol
At least Cursor gave a fantastic pace for other companies to follow
Bro is the biggest hater of Cursor, and the second one is me.😂😂😂
It does show up (as no.1 search result) by just typing 'AI Toolkit'. And btw i officially find the vscode copilot better than cursor now.
Love your content. You should probably cover Amazon Q as well. It's managed and good. You can't configure which models to use though.

Update your VS Code
@@not_saboor Version: 1.95.2 (Universal) - not available for Mac
@@not_saboor I’ll try it again, but I did it exactly as shown in the video… 😩 In the end, I think 🤔 I might have to reinstall… Thanks 🫡
3:02 - "no rules apply to them...anyway..." gave me a good lol

Codeium for sure. Combined with Cline it's total badass :-)
@nanuqcz Thanks! :-)

nice - i use cursor but i need to check a new copilot update - which tool do you recommend more :)
Copilot for sure.
cursor automatically creates and edits files with diffs and provides basically infinite claude 3.5 sonnet usage in my experience so I would recommend that as worth the extra $10.
Cursor>>>> i've watched a few of this guys vids and he is short selling it hard lol.
@@4tofromcafe, copilot does the same and you don't need to install a new program for that.
So should we use this, or Cline?
Does it work with attachments?
Nice. Does it have a rate limit on chat?
i think its 50 per day for 4o, and 150 for 4o mini
@@OVXX666 thanks
LoL, love your tone bro
Pretty cool! But I like when it has my project context, can link to files and apply code changes
Looks nice but Not usabel with Copy Paste code
Yes. Need-inline edit
Thank you so much
Will this make full application websites with frontend and backend
Continue extension is the best!

At the end, we need an API key to use "free" :D
Please make a video to show how to use LM Studio local models in the aider
For someone who has copilot subscription, how can they benefit from this?
What about replit?
My head is exploding with all these constant updates. Which one to use - lol
you know, by trying it for sure. u will found the best to suit your cases

Ok I guess it's new and it will get better with time, but for now it is far behind Continue in ergonomy and features

It's available on my M3 Mac. So, It seems that it might not be on the Intel Macs.
vs code theme name ?
King is really salty about cursor !😂😂
Love it
All I can say is that this tool is very difficult to use!!
Cursor will collapse in the coming months 😏
😊
Let's go
😂 you sure are upset at cursor
Copilot or Claude Sonet 3.5 ?? @AiCodeKing
Copilot for general users are good and you can use Cline or Aider if it acts weird.
