Which most likely has to do with Bael being the first unit and Barbatos being the eighth. Also wish it had dynamic sword hands like the Lupus does so we could recreate the "Rally around Bael!" pose from episode 45.
Hikari Hoshikawa is just me Gundam Bael the only Gundam Frame have red eyes the rest were green/yellow. (Barbatos,Flauros,Gusion Rebake - Green eye, only yellow eye - Kimaris and Original Gusion)
Really, though, giant feet aren't too out of place when you consider that's a machine intended to be the size of an office building (think Square-Cube Law). Then again, when I was little the only giant robots I knew about were the Transformers....

For some reason bael somewhat looked kinda of ok in your review, ive seen a lot of promotional images of the HG and i disliked the proportions but after this review of yours the proportions seems ok. This also happened with rouei i lve built, at first the proportions seemed a bit off in the promotional images as well as in the box but after building it the proportions seems ok. 👌 nice review and thanks, now im planning on picking ths kit up ^_^
I love the look of this gundam,but in the final episode it was kind of a let down. I wish they would have done more with it, i love how it can be bashed without having to worry about color diffrence
That waist joint is LOOSE AF in mine. I nearly smashed it in frustration as moving the waist tweaked the hands, fixing the hands dropped the swords, putting the swords back in twisted the head, adjusting the head made the neck move out of position, fixing the neck meant I had to adjust the hips, adjusting the hips made the waist joint fall off again.
u know what would be cool, a calamity war IBO series, like a flashback series to teh calamity war that showcases the barbatos and the bael and maybe/probably more....

Now that I look at it, The Bael Swords almost look like a mini version of Ragnell. Maybe if I get me a Bael, I could paint one of the swords into the Alondite colors.

i remember how awesome and powerful gundam epyon was when it first appeared on the wing series. i really hope something would awaken on gundam bael and make it the epyon of ibo series.
Yeah theres definetly a callback to the Epyon with the Bael, the sister suit to the Barbatos (as Epyon was to WZero) with really demonic wings. People have been speculating Baels main thing is it can control Mobile Armors. If thats the case then it's going to be hella scary :P
When I bought it and assembled it all together, it looked really cheep looking up close, but to be honest it was my first gundam I have ever put together in my life, so I am not complaining about that. ^_^. My only complaint about it is that its extremely fragile to move. When I move the leg around to position it, the hips fall out of place. :/
yay... the one part about Gundam Baels HG Kit is realy the Ball Joint at the hip... it gices him great Flexibility... but what is the point in it when it is just Falling apart at the slightes Movment... i mean.. HG Barbatos Lupus Rex has a similar Hip(whnen not the Same) but it holds much better..... at the end... Barbatos is much harder to much because it wont move wihtout presure on the Hands... but Bael is the Exact oposite

The Iron-Blooded Orphans kits are basically like three or four plastic skeletons, all with different varieties of outer armour. One of those skeletons is the Gundam frame, which is what's used for Barbatos, Bael, Kimaris, and the other Gundams in the show. Because they have the same basic internal structure, it's very easy to swap parts out and kitbash some shit.
The bael is really really fragile the booster backpack pegs are really fragile be careful when you remove it the peg might breal and get inside the peg hole but i just used hot glue to glue it in
idk but that calamity war every time i hear it,i feel like it taking a note from a U.C. timeline war but the only war that happen in the U.C with mars involved was in the F91/crossbone timeline but there was nothin in those timelines that used that name for the war so maybe it just bandai poking fun to other gundam series like they have in the passed but for some reason i think it more then that but we'll just have to wait til the end of the series and see if anything else gets pointed out that would lead the 107 different gundams to have come form the U.C. timeline originally. but right now all we have is a passed war between earth and mars which was the same for the F91 movie and then the world map in one episode with the area marked out that was where the space colony was dropped on to earth in the 0079 to lead us to believe this series might be in the far future of the U.C. timeline. great review btw and this gundam is looking very sharp unlike alot of the ones from IBO that doesn't really have that gundam feel to it.this one is one of the few so far that does and i agree with you those feet look so out of place in the HG but look so much better in the 1/100 scale

Waiting for this to show up in HLJ, was gonna get Vidar, Shia Qan[T] and the Graze that the one captain pilots, but I might forgo the Qan[T] for this. I also want to get the option kits for Full City and Barbatos to give them more options. Cus I have both of those and Ryusei-Go IV (or Flauros). Also, does anyone know what parts I'd need to get a functioning arm for say, a cannon fro mthe backpack of Barbatos?

actually, the swords that bael have is the different one. named bael sword.
the same one that agnika kaeiru uses since his comfident of his strength.
different swrods but made in a very similr style.
The Bael Swords are longer and broader than the Valkyra Blades Grimgerde uses. I don't think McGillis added anything new to the suitm
Bael uses the same loadout it always has, mcgillis was actually preparing himself to use the dual swords of bael by becoming a dual sword fighter.
