I actually use to set walls out similar to your way. When I started working with another company they did it the way I now do it, and I’ve learnt everyone has slightly different ways to mark out
Did plans call for 450 upstair or is that just your standard, can understand on external wall with truss load but would save a fair bit of timber with 600s
I rate paslodes for working on roofs, any battery gun is a lot better for walls, they shoot heaps quicker and you save money on gas (obviously pneumatic guns are the best for wall framing)

If I was marking the studs I’d tap in my Stanley knife to hook the tape on
