    I've been researching portable monitors for a couple years but somehow missed this one. I would of loved to see them go full on Sweat mode and up Resolution/Ref rate but like you said the price would jump,..a lot. The only real gripe for me is the lack of vesa mounting holes on the bottom of the built in stand. So many companies omit this feature. Would have been *chefs kiss*. Still, there's isn't much of anything like this on market.

    great content, but I need to point out the opportunity to improve the audio quality and speech intelligibility. I suspect the audio encoding level was too low. Or the dynamic volume compression was turned off.

    Hey great review! I love my VP16! Silly question, but I've been trying to figure out how to fold the protective cover for mobility. Do the triangle bits fold inside the screen?

      Hey! How does it feel in terms of the input latency? With this kinds of displays (portable or geared towards professional colour critical use) it can be very high even for a 60 Hz monitor. Innocn 15K1F, for example, has an input latency almost in the ballpark of a consumer TV without a game mode enabled (~70 ms).
      I want to get this for my PS5, but I'm very concerned about the input lag, especially since it's already quite high on a console with my BenQ EX2510 which has quite low input lag even at 60 Hz.
      I think I'm ready to sacrifice some responsiveness for image quality since I just can't stand the dismal IPS contrast, but only to a certain degree.

    Hi, how did you manage to connect Nintendo Switch OLED to the VP16 monitor (4:01)? When I tried connecting mine to VP16 through its original USB-C to USB-C cable (while making sure VP16 is connected to its original charger), I can only see "No Signal" message on the VP16 screen. I have also tried disconnecting joy-cons, but it did not help. Perhaps, I need to connect Switch through its dock?

    I play single player games, so I'm using it for gaming. I have a RTX3080 and I can crank every ultra setting and Ray Tracing option with a screen that looks awesome. I recently got the Corsair Xeneon 27 OLED monitor, and it has a too aggressive ABL and even with bright stabilizer on it has so many anti burn in hidden features that gradually reduce the brightness (that is already low), that I'm using this one for gaming most of the time. This monitor has an absolute stable image. No ABL and no brightness fluctuation. I love it.

    I don't want 120Hz on a monitor like this. It's not worth the increase in power draw and corresponding drop in total runtime on battery.

      @CreateConsumeRepeat  ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree.

    • @juanblanco7898

      Doesn't it run at 20% brightness max unless plugged into power socket anyway? That's bound to be too dim for use in environments with uncontrolled lighting anyway, imo.

    • @CreateConsumeRepeat
      @CreateConsumeRepeat  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      In my testing the monitor draws energy from the laptop via usb c. If you use HDMI it needs to be plugged into a wall with the included adaptor. It does not have a battery. In neither of those scenarios did it run at 20% brightness. As for uncontrolled lighting, I wouldn’t use this or any portable monitor outdoors. Unless you purchase a professional files monitor with an output of at least 2000 nits.
