The graphics for this game on PS3/360 still hold up really well. The switch from 480p to 720p and above was the best thing to happen to gaming. Hands down.
People keep saying this and I just couldn't disagree more. Proving Ground is worse. I can never really make a skater I'm satisfied with because the clothing options suck. People keep ragging on the different styles of this game saying they limit customization. I don't think so. They are simply giving you different styles to work with and I like them. Could they have been done better? Yes. Admittedly the clothing options are a bit limited but that could've been fixed by just adding more clothing to each style.
Super nice video, dude! Really interesting! Even the game running on ps2, we can see some cool details. Great job For both platforms (ps2 and ps3) Ps: I miss those days so much!
@@xierraleone1905 He played it on an emulator. Obviously you have to have a computer capable of running games of that quality (graphically, I mean) but that's not exactly uncommon nowadays - hell, even low end gaming PCs can do it. That said, PS3 emulators themselves, like any other emulators (or any other pieces of software for that matter), have their flaws and aren't perfect but run games well enough that most people won't notice any of the issues.
Nah not really. Project 8 is a step back if you ask me. It was the first time Tony Hawk's disappointed me as a kid. If I had to rank the games it'd be 9. THPS 8. THP 8 7. THPG 6. THPS 2 5. THPS 3 4. THPS 4 3. THUG 2 2. THUG 1. THAW (Project 8 would be at the bottom if Pro Skater 1 had manuals)
Both are amazing but the ps2/original Xbox will always have a soft spot in my heart.
The original was way harder haha But amazing game I see way u have a soft spot for it
I used codebreaker for ps2 games back then holy fuck ps2 games are fuckin fun as hell with cheats
The PS2 version of this game is quite bland.
Right I only played the ps2 version but damn that ps3 one looks crazy!
impossible someone actually did the whole curb grind in the PS2 version?
Man the PS2 version is so much more challenging than the PS3 version took me so many attempts lool
@@DarkShotUK Shaba games didn't test the port properly did they
@@CrashFan03 they probably didn't test at all
It’s actually pretty easy.
You have to spin into each curb

I honestly couldn’t remember which version I had until I saw the PS2 loading screen- too nostalgic! Wonder where the disc went…
You forgot what console you had lol
You getting Alzheimer's too early
@@at-cj2iy ya he's just lying lol
Crazy how u cant just skate to the next map like the ps3 version you had to pause and select it but both are still great
I had this on PS2 and I was so bummed when I saw how different it was from PS3
PHYSICS AND MOTION CAP IN PS2 VERSION - FROM THUG 2
Nice mash up dude
Cheers dude
please pass the pkg of the game for PS3
downloadgameps3.com/tony-hawks-project-8-ps3-iso/ Here dude you have to download all 3 files
Ironically: the Last gen port of this game was better, and completable.
This and Pro Skater 5 have the worst character customization ever

I still own and enjoy both of these!
That's awesome, Which one is your favourite?
360 and original for me but I still do own this on the ps2....one of my first skateboarding games I beat...
Super nice video, dude!

Thanks man :) Yeah the PS2 still holds up it feel alot harder too than the ps3 version. I miss these days too good times

Awesome video! What console would you recommend getting this game on?
Cheers man :) I recommend it on PS3 but I was playing both version through a emulator on the PC
@@DarkShotUK what pc do you have that can play ps3?

Ps3 or xbox 360
I actually preferred the wasteland engine from the ps2 more than the proving ground type gameplay the ps3 had.
Why tf didn’t I know they made another version of this game
Lo mismo pasa hoy con los juegos nuevos para lá xbox one y xbox 360
The 7th generation owns!
It really shines through why Skate won the fifth generation of consoles.
you mean seventh?
Fifth generation is PS1 and N64 era
Stoopid
5 seconds in the "next gen" is already loading lmao kinda ironically funny
kinda reminds me of underground
por que a versão de ps2 parece ser maior que a versão do ps3?
I think it’s because of the ps3 version having too much bloom and maybe the game engine is slightly different
I think the ps3 graphics are good but ps2 better 🧐
Nope
this game was a huge improvement from American Wasteland. The PS3 version looks great.
