One of the greatest gospel singers of all time. She was a childhood friend of my mother. There was no hesitation when I asked her to come and sing at my mother's funeral. Years ago, she recognized my sister waiting in the cold at a bus stop in Chicago. She stopped in her car and told my sister to get in abd she drove her all the way home.
