the fact that through the whole thing, even after he landed, your friends response was never what are you doing? or why didnt you just tell me? he was nothing but supportive and proud of you, at probably the most nervous and friend testing moment you can have, says so much about not only his trust in you but his outlook on life in general. everyone wants a friend that will trust you with his life and support you through your decisions. so great to see

Spent so many times on Dad's touch and go's. We had a Mooney. I sat where Zach sits. Trip to Durango was awesome, I could hear music from the sound of music as we came thru the pass banked right to land. You could hear the wind it was so beautiful. Wind? !!! No engines? Draft.... Land. So much to see, so much to learn. Check the fuel for high altitude adjustments before trips.
Never think you can out fly the weather. We've lost friends, entire families over that.
