Why? Though they are right you can't put a time frame on when a question should be asked. There are so many variables that may prohibit him. Such as things he wants to achieve or make right before marriage. Have you ever stop to think maybe the man isn't ready for marriage so he didn't ask. That's why communication is so key. Stop jumping to conclusions and sit down and talk. Talking usually clears up and gives you the clarity you need. Don't just assume he is wasting you time. Like me for instance the reason why I won't propose after a year is because I don't want to be married as yet. Also there are things I want to achieve for me and for us before I put a ring on a female finger . Obviously I will communicate that with you. But not all men are good at communication
You're not the first person telling such a story. I have heard and read about a ton of men who meet their future wife for the first time and say they are going to marry her, or see a picture and say they are going to marry that woman. They usually do marry that person and the marriage lasts until death parts them. I’ve been engaged twice. The first popped the question after dating 6 months. After he proposed, I had doubts and had to let go. The second proposed after two months. Once again, I started seeing signs, thought we could work on these issues before getting married. I let that one go also. Just because a man wants you to be his wife, doesn’t necessarily mean he’s the right one.
That's amazing, but I wouldn't advise for everybody to do that. I know too many couples who married quickly and got divorced later. Also, we don't know what their marriage is like.
My parents dated for 8months, married on the 9th! (No they were not pregnant). By God's grace 31 years later they are still together ♥️. May God protect us from time wasters 🙄 as we protect ourselves.
I wasted 14 years of my life with my daughter's father after being single for 5 years growing, praying, healing, setting boundaries & dating myself i learned so much from those life experiences, which helped me grow into becoming the woman i am today. Then i reconnected with my childhood friend about a month later God spoke/revealed to both of us he was my husband and that I was his wife. several months later he ask me to marry him. It's never to late to find true love; it was so worth the wait!

If a man is serious about you and sees that you will be a good wife but knows that he isn't qualified, he will take steps to become qualified, and she will know it. If she asks him about marriage, he will not get cagey or defensive. He will be honest with her about why he doesn't feel ready to marry. There are men who are happy to waste a woman's time for years on end because they aren't ready to marry and yet have no problem coupling up with her. If a woman wants to get married and have kids with her husband, she doesn't have 5-10 years to waste on somebody.

Ok, so true. I was with a guy off and on for over 5 years. I did not start off on the best foot with him. What turned into a fling was more like a relationship. He gave me mixed signals all the time, like we should get married but when I say something back he gives me a totally different attitude. My friends all said he was just leading me on, keeping me near because I was his emotional support for now til he finds someone else. Finally, I asked God. 3 times I prayed (thought out) and God immediately gave me an answer back which was he is not serious and is seeing other people. Finally, I asked him why, why not him, I really bonded with him and everything, but God said in a clear voice, because I have so much better for you. I was shocked. God was showing me what type of man he was, even in marriage he would not be a faithful partner and he had someone who would totally be faithful and give me all the spiritual and emotional support I needed. So slowly be surely i ended things. Took a while but I'm good now.

We married another 4 months later, and following two wonderful children , we stayed together 37 years until she went to Glory over 2 years ago. So yes-if you are in relationship with God, you WILL know up front. Now I am believing God that in HIS time, He has another amazing woman for me to pursue and find. I was two months shy of a 7 year relationship. I was ghosted, abandoned and destroyed by a man who said he loved me right when I found out I was losing my job. After working on myself this past summer and my relationship with God, I got my job back and was able to pay all my debt off! I thought that was it. I reconnected with a classmate from high school who I thought was so cute. It's only been 2 weeks and we ALREADY know! He said I'm it for him. I'm the one and he has already posted my pic on Instagram and then is posting on Facebook tomorrow. The ex never posted me on all that time and I took it. This man is so intentional. We literally think the same thing and have so much in common. He has the qualities I prayed for and then some! God is blowing my mind and is definitely standing by my side in all this craziness.
Also you may not be ready for marriage yet with a certain person. God sometimes brings two people together then keeps them apart for a while so they can grow and heal.

I like these devotionals. I do believe God is merciful and gives us multiple chances. I also think that Moses being unable to walk into the promised land due to his continued disobedience is evidence that God will remove blessing from us If we keep purposely disobeying Him. Mistakes are one thing but repeated out right rebellion is something else. I've also seen this happen in my own life with various things I've asked God for but didn't receive because I didn't follow His instructions to Get it.

Ok, so true. I was with a guy off and on for over 5 years. I did not start off on the best foot with him. What turned into a fling was more like a relationship. He gave me mixed signals all the time, like we should get married but when I say something back he gives me a totally different attitude. My friends all said he was just leading me on, keeping me near because I was his emotional support for now til he finds someone else. Finally, I asked God. 3 times I prayed (thought out) and God immediately gave me an answer back which was he is not serious and is seeing other people. Finally, I asked him why, why not him, I really bonded with him and everything, but God said in a clear voice, because I have so much better for you. I was shocked. God was showing me what type of man he was, even in marriage he would not be a faithful partner and he had someone who would totally be faithful and give me all the spiritual and emotional support I needed. So slowly be surely i ended things. Took a while but I'm good now.

Y’all better PREACH that thing. My first wife and I met in July, 1979, and almost 5 months to the day, I asked her to marry me-she said YES! We married another 4 months later, and following two wonderful children , we stayed together 37 years until she went to Glory over 2 years ago. So yes-if you are in relationship with God, you WILL know up front. Now I am believing God that in HIS time, He has another amazing woman for me to pursue and find. I already have a Word from the Lord on it, so I know she is coming!

I was two months shy of a 7 year relationship. I was ghosted, abandoned and destroyed by a man who said he loved me right when I found out I was losing my job. After working on myself this past summer and my relationship with God, I got my job back and was able to pay all my debt off! I thought that was it. I reconnected with a classmate from high school who I thought was so cute. It's only been 2 weeks and we ALREADY know! He said I'm it for him. I'm the one and he has already posted my pic on Instagram and then is posting on Facebook tomorrow. The ex never posted me on all that time and I took it. This man is so intentional. We literally think the same thing and have so much in common. He has the qualities I prayed for and then some! God is blowing my mind and is definitely standing by my side in all this craziness.

Come on! God has to tell me too. I was in a relationship with someone who seemed to be what I wanted but that gut feeling, red flags, and uneasiness caused me to break up with him when I realized he was going to propose. I felt like a terrible person but I don’t want to marry wrong.

I like these devotionals. I do believe God is merciful and gives us multiple chances. I also think that Moses being unable to walk into the promised land due to his continued disobedience is evidence that God will remove blessing from us If we keep purposely disobeying Him. Mistakes are one thing but repeated out right rebellion is something else. I've also seen this happen in my own life with various things I've asked God for but didn't receive because I didn't follow His instructions to Get it.
