For me, this is the best and most detailed Woody in this small scale and Medicom is the best in full scale.
2:04 he was Ralph Eggerston, he already passed away last year due to cancer 😢 i saw his name in the end part (in loving memory) of the Pixar movie Emmental's credits. His legacy in animation lives on 💕

He gives a thumbs up to Ducky when they go to Sids backyard. I rewatched that part and it's his left hand instead of his right. Still gonna have to recreate that moment when I get one though haha.
haha I know, I wasn't trying to recreate any specific moment in the vid, just demonstrating how the different hands can attach. There are lots of combinations and movie accurate poses you can do for sure! He also give a thumbs up in Toy Story 2 as he tells the toys he'll see them Sunday night and in the Toy Story road block short. Probably at other times as well. Good insight though and I'll be excited for you to get this and take some recreation pics with it!

Hi! Not sure if you’ll see this comment.. I know you mention it doesn’t come with “toy” woody when he’s not animated… do you know why they don’t make screen accurate versions of “toy” Woody and Buzz? I’ve wondered about that for years. As a kid I had a soft woody toy but the face was open mouth smiling with a raised eyebrow. It bugged me he didn’t look like he should as a toy. I wish they made an accurate version. Curious if you had any idea why they never have. Also! When does this Woody come out? Or did it already and I missed him? I hate limited releases.. they sell out instantly and then end up on eBay for $$$$$$$$. I found Kevin on eBay for not a *terrible* price but I didn’t see Woody and can’t find him anywhere. Me too! It's interesting that Buzz and him were the first ones revealed at Toy Fair, yet they weren't the first two to be released. I feel like they're release depends on the success of these ones. We'll see what happens!
I went with the Bandai Model Kit Woody for 2 big reasons. 1. This one doesn’t come with a Toy Mode head. 2. The soft goods. Why Mattel?! Mr. Incredible doesn’t have soft goods, he’s an actual figure, so why did Woody get the shaft? But now that I see this review, I see that this figure is actually worse than I previously thought. His head looks too big, the soft goods don’t lay like they’re supposed to, some details are either wrong or undetailed in the first place, and the boots are just bad. On top of everything I said above. Putting together the model kit and painting it, along with making a custom head for it, was a pain in the ass. But worth it because I believe it’s much better. I’ll post about him on my Instagram page soon, if you have that social media and you’re curious, let me know, I’ll send a link when I make a Woody post.
@@DanthePixarFan I speak from the heart. The original trilogy, and pretty much everything Toy Story related that isn’t TS4, all hold a super large special place in my heart and soul. So I take these type of things seriously. So if I see a less than stellar Woody, I instinctively get way more critical towards it. But I’m still giving my pure honest opinions. PS, Do you have any idea if Mattel is planning on rereleasing the Spotlight Buzz?

It was canceled! It never ended up ever being in stock on Amazon 😬 The latest I heard is that they’ll be up for pre order later this month on either Mattel shop or Mattel creations- not clear which one!
Hi Rick! So I'm not actually sure why Woody hasn't hit any online stores yet. Wonder if there's some kind of production delay? So odd! He was suppose to be up for pre-order like back in August/September. I'll keep you all posted here as soon as he's available!

Medicom Woody is by far the best Woody out there, especially the toy mode sculpt. But thanks for the review. I was curious for this product.

Looks better than revoltech imo especially the soft goods probably the best soft goods I've seen on a woody recently.
