About the Language:
The language I am singing in does not exist in the real world. The lyrics are supposed to be in a Finnic dialect of Adytite(Ämärangnä), a fictional language spoken by the Sarkic Cults(Nälkä) in the SCPF universe. Adytite, in universe, is an old Uralic language that is thus related to Finnish, Estonian, and Hungarian.

At first glance, Sarkicism seems to just be your typical occult meat monster horror. In reality, it's much deeper than that.
Nälkä has some very tragic undertones. The founders of the religion - Ion and his Klavigars - wanted humanity to use the power of their flesh to usurp the dark gods and create a paradise on Earth. Yet, despite their good intentions, their "own" powers slowly betrayed them and turned Ion into someone no better than the beasts that he once claimed to fight.
I have little doubt that sane Ion would be disgusted at what Nälkä has devolved into in the modern age. While you still have a handful of benevolent Proto-Sarkic groups, most modern practitioners of the craft have turned to practices that would truly horrify the Grand Karcist.
The role of Yaldabaoth and its' Archons in the SCP Pantheon is also super interesting, especially in their relationship to Mekhane. In some ways, the conflict between the COTBG and the Sarkic Cults could be seen as a billion-year-old child custody dispute!
Damn, as someone who never been interested in Sarkicism too much, this really changed my point of view about them, thanks for sharing such information 🖤

The first time I read about Karcist SCP, it was mainly portraited as body horror or how a human's fleshly desire can corrupt the entire world
But after reading some tales and SCP, some Karcist worshippers actually teach the power of flesh as a form of self-control and mental improvement through minor flesh manipulations (I don't quite remember the SCP code but the part I like most is when a Foundation agent doing a site interviewing with a local Karcist, the Karcist introduces the agent to their dog which kinda looks like Overgrown Rover in One Punch Man. The agent was, of course, disgusted and ask why they created such an abomination. The Karcist calmly explains how this is actually the perfect dog that can survive on its own in our new environment, and he questions why the agent does not consider The Pug breed as a sin of mankind in creating such creature that suffer from illness that can only be cured by human)

@@noisyash4234 According to some convos, she based the lyrics on the Adytite dialect spoken in Karelia, where the Sarkic Vaśńa community of Sarvi resides. As such, there's some linguistic drift from original Adytite and more borrowings from the surrounding Finnish and Sami languages, which is why the song lyrics sound more Finno-Ugric than it should in Pure Adytite (Ion pronounced as 'Yan', Kalmaktama as 'Kalmaktansa', and so on...) . She even referenced the community in the video description.

The funny thing is that I and my friends created a clan named Nälkän in Conan Exiles, the very next day a Clan named Mekhane appeared and they started to fuck with us since then. I did not talk with them to know if they catch the reference, but for me they know who we are that is why they have this obsession haha.
There's no way that wasn't intentional on their part lmao. It's those kinds of interactions that make videogames so awesome. Just one group acknowledging the nerdiness of another group in the most positive way possible.

I just love it. I truly love this music, and truly love Sarkicism as a idea. It's such a deep topic, not just humans eating other people and creating body horrors, it's faith in something greater, and something that can exist just because of us humans. Poeople who believe in Sarkicism (in lore) are Antiteists. That means they believe that many, many gods exists in this universe, but they don't worship single one of them. And I admire that.

Correction: antitheism is opposition to organized religion in general, not gods. Sarkites are more of a mizotheists (people who believe in gods, but consider them evil or unworthy of praise).

Ion is a similar to bloodborne characters like Gehrman or Ludwig where they started off with something noble and then their descendants/rivals messed it up. Proto sarkics dont even care about the church, its the church who call the Sarkics as their mortal enemies. Ion is a man who stood up to Daevite slavery, freed multiple countries and to top it off stood up to a God (and won apparently). The Proto-sarkics keep to themselves worshipping Ion while the Neo-Sarkics want to be like him or usurp him. He would be as dejected as Ludwig was when we tell him that his people turned to beasts. This is when I started liking the Sarkics over the Mechanites.
The thing is - protosarkics are still around, klavigars are still around, some OG karcists are still around and there is an entire republic in Polynesia that consists of Nälkä. Kalmaktama fell, Adytum is gone, but the Nälkä live!

Listening this while waiting for more entries to come to the In Memoriam, Adytum hub.
I'm personally leaning towards Mekhanite side in-lore and I find their philosophy more convincing, but I find Sarkicism mythos more interesting.
However relation between both is the most interesting aspect of both Nälkä and Mekhanites. Their entire plot is very similar to Gnostic mythology and both CotBG and Sarkicism share something in common with it, but take different sides in conflict (Sarkites, especially modern, seem to be Demiurge leaning side, and Broken God worshippers lean towards Sophia).
Two groups, one of flesh and one of concrete, one in decline and one rising, one for the future and one for the past, fighting for the future of humanity.
Remember, though, that the groups classified as proto-sarkic by the Foundation regard Yaldaboath as an adversary as sorts, and I think that the healthiest interpretation of Sarkism would be to see it as a proper respect paid to the power inherent in the chaos and discord of life. A reminder that as weak as it may seem, the flesh has a power that should not be discarded so lightly. Not good, not evil, but powerful.

Nalka in the context of scp means flesh as it the name of the culture of the sarkics and if I remember correctly they took it from the old greek meaning could be wrong
@@michaelliggett1622 yeah...no...sarkic means flesh in ancient greek. Also in the SCP universe Nälkä is not finnish it is "Ämärangnä" (Adytite) and it means Hunger, because the sarkic cults believe of theophagy, the devour of a god to become a god
"Nälka" is the name of the fictional religion, therefore it is called a Nälkän chant

These are really good, I wish they’d develop a language for The Church of the Broken God, maybe something based on Greek and do some chants in that with add mechanical sound effects too.

Absolutely incredible. I’ve listened to this and your first Nälkän chant many times since discovering them a couple of days ago. There’s just something magical about them... I really feel all the joy and culture of the Nälkä in this music. It makes me want to dive deeper into the Sarkic lore, I realise now that I’ve only scratched the surface. The fact that SCP worldbuilding contains a biopunk faction, that isn't hivemind NOR just wants to eat everyone, is already 10/10.
Removing SCP-610 (disease that, like a disease, tends to assimilate everything) from sarkicism hub was a right decision. As well as returning it as anti-sarkik bioweapon.
They won't kill people just to eat them, but they do definitely eat people - their own fallen, their enemies, etc. They also do things like turn criminals into blobs of sapient and sentient meat that they leave to reconsider their life decisions inside jars that they leave in the basements of temples.

This chant gave me the chills it’s so cool! This chant really fleshes out (no pun intended) the Nalkan (Sarkic) faith and makes it feel real (maybe it is) The SCP universe has such a themes and concepts and I’m thinking of creating artwork myself (I’m most interested in the serpents hand and the the different religious groups). I hope to hear more beautiful and awesome music from you!
