@@EllyAwesomeTechabsolutely not if you cannot fit the band. I tried on Apple Watch Ultra in store and as a 40mm Apple Watch Series 6 user, the ultra is way too big. I could not tighten the band snugly, even with being average height with slim 5.9 inches wrist. Unless if you need to upgrade your Apple Watch ⌚️ to a more tactical look
I went for the 41mm and am quite happy with the size. For most women I‘d say a 45mm watch looks like a tv on a wrist band. 41 mm has no disadvantage in usability (astonishing but true) and looks elegant plus you see a bit more of the watch band which is great for different looks.
I’m a 6.5in/165mm wrist. I went with midnight 45mm just because I don’t mind bulky. It’s worth it to note that circumference isn’t the only thing to consider… the width of your actual wrist should be taken in to account!
I played around with the 41 mm in store and it just felt too small to use but it looked great. I ended up going with the 45 mm bc it feels more practical in use and don’t feel like it’s too big on my “slender” wrists.
@@laurentucker5444 thanks. I measured 140mm exactly which is the first number in the 45mm not sure what to think. I don’t mind the bigger screen just worried if the small band is really long
I loved this video! I'm tall but I have a very thin wrist. However, my choice was for the 45 mm and I'm loving it! Don't be afraid girls! It's a matter of style! If you think the biggest is your style, go for it!
This was perfect. I really appreciated the comparisons, side-by-sides and distant views. I wanted to grab this for my girlfriend but neither of us have owned one before so I don't know what her preference would be and she is quite small, shorter than you even! I figured small was safer, but before this video I had almost decided to go with larger since I thought its easier to decide it was too big and swap it rather than go small and not be sure if a little bigger would be too much. It wouldn't be quite as fun a gift if you have to return it and not be able to play around with it until you get the new one, so I definitely want to avoid that! I think small would be more her style in the end, thanks to you! So yeah, I really appreciate it!
I appreciate this video! “Have ya decided yet?” 😂 I’m glad I’m not the only one here. I’ve been to Best Buy 3 times over the past 2 weeks. Today I spent an hour and 10 minutes in Best Buy with each one on my wrist, took a dozen pictures. Asked strangers for their opinions. It came down to the appearance of the small one (my wrist circumference is 6 inches) or the functionality of the large one. Ultimately I decided I want more screen. And from far away, I couldn’t tell a difference in size on your wrists.
Hey! I'm petite sized as well! 150 cm right here with a 16.5 mm wrist size LOL! I opted for the 40 mm. I bought it last year with the Series 6 release. And I love that size. While both sizes technically fit me the 44 (now 45 mm) looked like I had a phone on my wrist while the small one looked like an actual watch. At least that's my experience. I haven't regretted my choice but if you like the 45 mm better I say go for it!
The starlight/silver border makes the watch look less chunky for some reason and the color combo of that looked better on you. This video helped a lot. I’m 5’7” with 7.25” wrist so maybe I try on the bigger size with lighter case. Thanks!
Thank you for making this video Elly!! I’m also a petite person and was worried the 45mm would be too big. But you’ve convinced me, it looks so good! 😍
Great video. I ordered the 45 size. Was concerned about it being chunky, should be arriving tomorrow. So glad to read of other women rocking the 45. I wear glasses, but not when working out, so I need to be able to see my numbers quickly while in motion. Thanks for a great informative and entertaining video. You do you girl!! Love it. 🙂
But which one do YOU prefer to use, Elly? Aesthetics aside, do find the 45 easier to read and text with? Do the health sensors still touch your skin on the 45? Both look nice.
Great video. I am going for the large - can’t help myself I just think big is always better and I am fairly big boned. Getting the right or a selection of different straps makes all the difference.
Your height plays no part on what size watch you should get. It’s all about wrist size. Ignore apples guideline. Go with 130-175mm get the 41mm. 180-220mm get the 45mm. Obviously if you like really big watches on skinny wrists get the big one, but the proportions look odd. I got the 41mm as I have skinny wrists. I have a Garmin Fenix 5 which is 48mm and it drowns my wrist.
I recently got diagnosed with POTS and was going to get an Apple Watch to monitor my heart rate when I found you on tiktok which led me here. Can I just say, this video was so helpful and I love your vibes so much! Thank you!

I am same size as you are and I was considering the bigger one, too! I think it’s a lot what you said, the wristband makes a lot of difference. After watching this, I think I am getting the larger one. With the white or ivory band- whatever the whitish one you showed. Truth is, the more petite one is t actually all that petite. They both have a utilitarian kind of vibe, in looks. The one “for women” does seem to blend in with you some. But in my view, I am not sure it’s enough “style” for me. I think that choosing the larger one is a bit more of a style choice. I don’t care that it’s bigger and I am “petite”, I think that’s what makes it a cool choice. If you or I were a six foot tall woman, with a lot more thickness, then the watch wouldn’t look as cool? That’s where I’m at anyway. (Plus, I don’t think I should have to struggle with a tinier screen, just bc I am female. I have a feeling there might be a bit less squint-factor, with the larger one.) I realized, while watching you, that I probably ought to go to an Apple Store to try it on? Anyway, thanks for doing this vid. Ithink I have the same style taste as you, so ….;)
I just order 45 mm starlight yesterday, I was worried by the size but not anymore 😃😃😃, I think looks great bigger, greetings from Monterrey NL México 🇲🇽
I measured my wrist to 6in. To me the watches not having full ‘touch’ to the arm looks a little weird at angles so I’d definitely prefer the smaller 41mm. I’ll probably still go to Costco and compare sizes.
Thank you ever so much for this Elly. I’m 5ft4 and have such tiny wrists wrists. You have convinced me to go ahead with the 45mm Series 7 watch. This will be my first Apple Watch as I’m coming from a Fitbit Versa 3. I’m also visually impaired so I hope the 45mm watch will help me visually 😊
This helped me so much when choosing a size. I’m a little bit taller and I went with the 41 in the end but you did a great job showing how they both looked and talking about the differences! That’s literally the BEST video i’ve ever seen . I was extremely indecisive how the 41 and 45 would look from the distance, and she totally explained that hahaha THANK U GIRL
Really helpful video and love your cheery attitude! Also that 'smaller' isn't necessary best just because of your body size. Women can rock big chunky watches too! It was interesting that when you had the watches on separate arms, the size difference was visually pretty much nil. When you had them on the same arm, the 45mm looked massive. I'm going for the 45mm because I'm old and my eyesight stinks - bring on the chunky. 😂
I am looking for the watch for my wife and deciding between 45 and 41. I wear 45 and found that it very easy to tap. I think it’s more about the color. You look good with that white one so I think I am getting a white one for wife’s
I have very thin wrists and have been using a series 3 38mm. I was hesitant on what size to order my new watch but I’m glad I stuck with the 41mm. I think the other watch would look huge on my wrist.
I really love your personality and this video! You’ve showed me everything i need to know. I’m a guy and i would want the 45mm, but i’ll just save the few bucks for a 41mm. I think it’s big enough. Thank you! You earned a sub and like
I have a small wrist, too. I have never had an Apple Watch. I thought I was going to get the stainless steel watch with the steel mesh band-thought it would be sturdier, but after trying it on, even the 41 mm was too heavy, I was surprised that the aluminum one with the silicone band felt so much better, even the 45mm wasn’t clunky so that’s what I got. Of course it hasn’t arrived yet…I do recommend trying on before ordering one.
her wrist is not small at all, some ppl can be short with average to wider wrist, but in my case I have a tiny wrist, so I am thinking 41 mm hopefully will fit right. :) . I am still waiting for it, I picked aluminum cos I don't like heavy watch and wider bands on my tiny wrist.
I tried to find an actual size comparison and watched like 10 videos already. No one just wears the watches and films it properly. So thanks for making this video!!!
@@evalee4737 that’s my wrist size to! I wanted the 45mm Apple Watch 8 and preordered it. I was hoping it wasn’t too big it didn’t read the heartbeat and stuff right and band wasn’t too big. Thanks for the info. I am excited for the bigger size
I appreciate this video more than you know. Today I went from a series 6 40 mm to a series 7 45 mm watch in starlight. I was kind of stressed because I was afraid I shouldn't have gotten the bigger size. I am not a petite person. I am of average build and 5'5". But, weirdly, I have small wrists (I bought the pink solo band) and wear a size 2 solo band. However, I do wear it above the wristbone so the watch face fits perfectly. I'm still trying to get used to the size and when I came across your video, I was so happy! Also, after reading the comments of other women who went with the 45 mm is a big relief. Thank You!!
Thanks for the great video! I wasn’t sure which one would be best for me. I’m currently wearing the series 3 38mm and upgraded to the series 7 45mm… excited to see how I like it!! Wasn’t sure if it would be too big or not. But after this video you confirmed I needed the bigger one!! Thanks again!!!
I ordered the 41mm and since I came from a 46mm Samsung Gear s3 frontier. And I’ve been wearing that I found it to be very comfortable but sometimes it feels too big and heavy. And I’m pretty petite at 4’11”. So I was just looking for a change.
This will my third apple watch, i have only had series 1 and 2, and now going to 7.I always had the 42mm, but I am unsure if I want to do 45 or the 41 now. But this video was perfect. Although I am still undecided but leaning towards 45, but your cheery disposition was great!
This was so helpful, Elly. In addition to all the views of the watches on your wrist, the most helpful bit was knowing the circumference of your wrist. I was torn between the 41mm and 45mm (both looked great on you) but after comparing my wrist measurement to yours, the choice was (finally!) clear to me.
Thank you so much for this, my moms a nurse and has the smaller Series 6 but I wanted to buy her the new Series 7 45mm this time for her birthday but wasnt sure if the 45mm would have any effect on the wrist size but your video proves it does not matter, 45mm is just the screen difference size.
I found that the scrunchie-type bands look super cute when styling for everyday use! When working out- I place it slightly higher on my wrist to allow full flexion/extension of my wrist anyways, but love the size! Was worried it would be too big!
Thank you for your great video. I’ve been trying to decide between upgrading to the series 7 41mm or 45mm. Both sizes look great on you and we’re about the same size and my wrist is the same size as yours. After watching your video, I think I’m going with the larger 45mm. I currently own a series 5 44mm.
45 looks perfect on you! Love the starlight color on you too! Thank you for this super detailed review. I took two screenshots when you held them next to each other 😂 45 starlight is a go for me! New subscriber 🙏🏽🤍
I got my watch last Saturday and I got the dark blue braided band and I had put it on upside down. There were no issues but three days later I found out about the band release buttons.
Thank you so much! I’m going for the 45mm because I’m a guy and size don’t matter I know because the small one actually looks…..better? More sleek and casual in design but the bigger one is just masculine I would say and there are just many more obvious reasons to get the 45mm
Holly crap that 45mm looks like a 65” OLED Tv 😂😂 I think the 41mm would suit most people unless the wrist is over 7.5” and 8” onwards. Nice and spontaneous video! Keep it up
I wear an older model 44mm in the gym and running (most are cheap on ebay) and the s9 is my main its under warrenty and I charge it (again) while I wear the 44mm and they both have a waldrobe of covers and bands to change their look. The 15pro max collates both data without me having to change settings.
Thank you Elly, both look great on you, I love the big one, but I ordered, and I feel it quite unconfortable to use all the long! , then I order the small one and I dont like it =( What do you recomend me?
Thank you for making this video I'm going to buy my girlfriend a new one for her birthday & this has helped my decision definitely going with the bigger watch
I'm a guy but I have thin bones, so a small wrist. I have the 45 mm Watch, and wanted a solo loop. Sadly, the smallest size for the 45 mm watch is too loose, whereas they go down another notch for the 41 mm version. So, if you have thin wrists, that might be another consideration.

I’m 5ft 9” big boned female size 8 wrist I just got the blue 41MM and for me it looks to small and this is my 4th Apple Watch. I personally wish they’d give more of a selection. The 42MM was perfect. They should have kept 44MM for a choice. I think I’m going into the store to try on the bigger one just in case. I’m noticing the 41MM the screen is too small to text (I have zoomed font and bold lettering on as well) but the 45MM looks really big but it doesn’t on her which is confusing me Lol. Thanks for tutorial.
great presentation! Thanx a lot. I’m your size & just got me the 41mm series midnight black. Still in the box, but I’ll unbox it on the 1st of 2022. I have a complete icon for the product, thanx to you! Keep up the good work
I’m going to start buying the smaller Apple Watch. For some reason, all the cute bands aka Hermes, Kate Spade, Coach, etc. are only made for the smaller watches. Which is ridiculous. They would’ve made a killing from me alone! So if anyone is debating, keep this in mind. If you ever want to treat yourself to a cute, expensive name brand band, you cant!
You are, as my mother says, "A little piece of leather, but you’re well put together". She’s 5’1” as well. Is it true that the silicon bands are sized a bit bigger than the braided?
Now you should try the Ultra! 😊

I think the smaller one would look a bit bigger in graphite stainless or the black.. I still can’t decide they both look great!
:) . I am still waiting for it, I picked aluminum cos I don't like heavy watch and wider bands
on my tiny wrist.
@@rn9167 Hello, what size is your wrist? Also how did it go with your watch?
I tried to find an actual size comparison and watched like 10 videos already. No one just wears the watches and films it properly. So thanks for making this video!!!
I am so glad you like the 45mm watch. Me too!! I am also petite and love wearing the bigger watch.
hi what’s your wrist size?
@@iradatizahra8768 5 1/2 inches.
@@MoonDragon1 I found the metal mesh bands work well for accurate sensor readings on my wrist. Not the sports bands tho.
@@evalee4737 thanks! Good to know
First time on your channel and this review is awesome, you’re awesome love your vibe, also your accent omgggg🥵
They both look good on you! I went with the 41 personally. It just fit me better!
Btw. Subscribed. Great content!
I ordered the 45. I figured I’m a big girl 5’10” size 16, I need a big watch. I got the starlight on starlight.
Thanks again!!!
how was the size difference? I'm currently on the 38mm and I cant decide between the 41 or 45mm
Ordered watch 8 series starlight today, I think the 41mm looks better on you if I'm honest! 👍🏻🙂🇬🇧
I ordered the 41mm and since I came from a 46mm Samsung Gear s3 frontier. And I’ve been wearing that I found it to be very comfortable but sometimes it feels too big and heavy. And I’m pretty petite at 4’11”. So I was just looking for a change.
I think the same as you. The ideal size for ladies should be 41mm. I bought my Apple Watch series 7 41 mm in graphite stainless steel
Me too
Thanks Elly, I’m the same size as you😉 so I think I’ve made the right choice. In 3 weeks time I’ll be getting my 45mm, yeah😊
Hi Elly could you please measure your wrist and post it. Would be a great help to new Apple Watch users who don’t know band sizes.
17 inches
7” :)
@@EllyAwesomeTech 7 inches is not small for a woman
I did the opposite I,m huge 😂6.1 foot or 185 cm .I went for the 41 mm . Because it feels more comfortable for me around my wrist ! Great funny video !
I’m the same, 6.1 foot and take the 41mm
Whats your wrist size ??
@@rkjmadisonsquares 15,5 cm
Same here. I have small wrist. The 45 was over powering my wrist.
Excellent demonstration! Thank you for mentioning your wrist circumstance as that was super helpful.
You’re awesome! This review is a lifesaver 😅 thank youuu for sharing this with us! 💖💖💖
I LOVE YOU😂 within ten seconds of this video I loved this video! Your vibe matches mine! I’ve subscribed!
Sticking with the 41, I prefer the more petite one. Great video!
It’s super classy
Thank you for your great video. I’ve been trying to decide between upgrading to the series 7 41mm or 45mm. Both sizes look great on you and we’re about the same size and my wrist is the same size as yours. After watching your video, I think I’m going with the larger 45mm. I currently own a series 5 44mm.
45 looks perfect on you! Love the starlight color on you too! Thank you for this super detailed review. I took two screenshots when you held them next to each other 😂 45 starlight is a go for me! New subscriber 🙏🏽🤍
I love the starlight watch in 41mm. I’m new to watches but what hand should you wear your watch ? Left or Right
Left
Your non dominant hand
I don’t even want to buy the apple watch at first. I just want to watch your video, and now I want to buy one!!
I got my watch last Saturday and I got the dark blue braided band and I had put it on upside down. There were no issues but three days later I found out about the band release buttons.
I've watched so many of these videos trying to decide what size to get and this is the best one yet... still haven't decided yet though. :)
You’re the first person to give your wrist measurement. Thank you! Very helpful.
Thank you. This was the perfect video for working out which one. I decided!!
I still can’t decide on the starlight or the midnight colour 😩
The 41mm one suits you better. Thanks for this video!
i'm also a girl and my wrist this pretty small and i have the 45mm one. And i don't regret it :)
Can't wait to get my green one 41 mm,never had one before
Thank you so much! I’m going for the 45mm because I’m a guy and size don’t matter I know because the small one actually looks…..better? More sleek and casual in design but the bigger one is just masculine I would say and there are just many more obvious reasons to get the 45mm
Hmm , got myself 45 today , at first i was dismayed coz it looks big on me but watching your video i think m gonna love it! ❤️
Holly crap that 45mm looks like a 65” OLED Tv 😂😂 I think the 41mm would suit most people unless the wrist is over 7.5” and 8” onwards. Nice and spontaneous video! Keep it up
I like the 45mm look on your wrist. The contrast in size is nice.
Thank you 😊
Glad you did a size difference on the bands. I was wondering what size I would. We’d, definitely a 4
In the end just go for the one u like and feel confident wearing, doesn’t matter what others say 😁
Usually you can visit an Apple store and return any product within 14 days - could call them and ask! Good luck!
Thank you for making this video I'm going to buy my girlfriend a new one for her birthday & this has helped my decision definitely going with the bigger watch
Great video! Getting my first Apple Watch today but couldn’t decide what size to go with. Going for the 45mm stainless steel w/white band. 😁
Want the 45mm . Just like bigger faces for my watch. Awesome review!!!
I’m getting the 45 mm in the Nike version maybe withe blue Nike sports band. Excellent video.
I'll go with the smaller one, thank you so much for making this decision easy for me!
I have one question this new Apple Watch 7 will fit a band 38mm? I just wanna make sure
시계 사이즈를 고민하다 누르게된 영상인데 굉장히 밝으셔서 보는내내 기준이 좋았네요! 밝은 분위기와 웃음이 보는사람으로 하여금 힐링되게하네요
So helpful! I am going for the large one as well.
I will definitely get the starlight 45mm can't wait to receive mine thanks for this video comparison
I fall in love for the 45mm.Thank you for the video, really helpful :)
New subscriber - not that I watch a lot of tech videos but you covered the comparison so well, you’re ridiculously adorable, and your editing rocks - I can see you put a lot of effort into making a quality video. Also love unceremonious unboxings!! Rrrrrip… go!!!
I’m upgrading from a series 3 42mm and I’m seriously torn between these 2 series 7 sizes.
THANK YOU!! Umm, I am still torn but I am leaning more towards the 45mm now.....
i loved this review!! it was super helpful, especially the distant views and your comments about the different bands. thanks elly!
You are, as my mother says, "A little piece of leather, but you’re well put together". She’s 5’1” as well. Is it true that the silicon bands are sized a bit bigger than the braided?
Haha - cute! I think the silicone is just a bit more stretchy so they feel the tiniest bit looser :)
The most useful video on TH-cam if you want to see the size comparison.
