Have no issues with the pausing, but concur with the 3 second rewind. His songs can be so lyrically dense, it is easy to miss things when you stop/start mid sentence. Other than that, loving your input.

I’ve recently started on my Ren journey too. The one that got my attention first ngl was the Kujo Beat Down. I apparently really love rap beefs. Not important, it led me to REN and that’s the important part. Yesterday I got to hear Jenny, Screech and Violet’s stories. It’s 3 but you should listen to them all together. Su!c!de broke my heart. He had Lyme disease that went undetected for many years. They treated him for whatever they might believe was wrong with him this week. Meanwhile the Lyme disease was wreaking havoc on him physically and mentally. It was crippling him. You are totally nailing this reaction. Ren was bitten by a tick and got Limes disease. He was misdiagnosed for 10 years. This is what he refered to at the end of Hi Ren when he said he suffered from "auto-immuneity, illness and psychosis".They even told him it was all in his head. It gave him brain damage. He went through a year of stem cell treatment in Canada. He did great for a while but relapsed while making his new album and ended up in the hospital again. He is back in Canada now getting more treatments. Very sad.

Through 8 years of misdiagnosis it turns out he had Lyme disease. You get Lyme disease by being bitten by a tick. That's how he got ill in the first place but the years of misdiagnosis and medications for mental and physical illnesses he didn't have have affected his mind and body.

He collabs with Uber talented artists- Chinchilla- Sam Tompkins and the fellow members of The Big Push. Retake is his term for a “cover” where he takes the music of someone’s song and puts his lyrics and embellishments on it with possibly key or tempo changes ( Bitter Sweet Symphony or Nas 25:20 Halftime for example )

Ren was misdiagnosed for over a decade and not treated for the Lyme disease he contracted from a tick when he was 17, if i recall correctly.
He means literally bitten by a tick. Years of misdiagnosis leading to wrong medications and being made sicker because of it. He is still working through trying to find treatment to make him feel better so he can keep working. He made videos when he was younger while he was still trying to find treatment out what was making him so sick. I think you are going to love this rabbit hole. There is just so much as Ren is not held by genre, he does it all. ❤️

The Money Game Trilogy will also give you more of what Ren is about and what he stands on.
The man can rap rap, sing, play guitar, piano, tell a story, direct, produce his own beats, and act. He often does most of them in a single track. He is GOATed.

Ren was bitten by a tick that gave him Lyme disease, which was misdiagnosed for 8 years, causing brain damage, psychosis, horrible physical illness and near death. He received a stem cell transplant and made a miraculous recovery but just recently had a relapse in his symptoms, causing him to have to step away from his music so he can receive treatment in Canada. He can only eat like 10 things and takes $5000 worth of meds a month. That is why he is called Sick Boi ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥

Have no issues with the pausing, but concur with the 3 second rewind. His songs can be so lyrically dense, it is easy to miss things when you stop/start mid sentence. Other than that, loving your input.

Bitten by a Tick literally, misdiagnosed and medicated for things he never had and it gave him terrible side effects, meanwhile Lyme disease was ravaging his body and brain for 7 years. He suffered excruciating pain for years, trapped in bed 23/24 hours a day for months at a time, and he acquired a whole bunch of terrible conditions and effects he deals with daily from the damage. He was failed & gaslit by the greedy medical industry.

I do want to hear your personal reaction to REN’s music. He does such a wide variety of music and I like seeing how his music speaks to other people. REN’s problem was that he was misdiagnosed. He had Lyme disease that went undetected for many years. They treated him for whatever they might believe was wrong with him this week. Meanwhile the Lyme disease was wreaking havoc on him physically and mentally. It was crippling him. You are totally nailing this reaction. The long delay on treating the correct problem created additional problems. Leaving him still coping with health issues from too much time passing, too much damage. Thank you!! Our favourite sick boi (bitten by a tick that made him sick) is pure authenticity and fire 🔥 He has been through hell and he has turned it all into art that helps other people. I think a perfect follow up to this track is Crutch feat. Bibi. It’s an older song from before Ren was finally correctly diagnosed with Lyme disease. If Sick Boi is an expression of the built up frustrations from being misdiagnosed for years, Crutch is the earlier fear when getting sick and not knowing what is happening to you. The song is also very different from everything else in his catalogue.
The Ren rabbit hole is deep and wide, but every part of it is worth exploring - including the bands Trick the Fox and The Big Push.

Ren was bitten by a tick and got Limes disease. He was misdiagnosed for 10 years. This is what he refered to at the end of Hi Ren when he said he suffered from "auto-immuneity, illness and psychosis".They even told him it was all in his head. It gave him brain damage. He went through a year of stem cell treatment in Canada. He did great for a while but relapsed while making his new album and ended up in the hospital again. He is back in Canada now getting more treatments. Very sad.
A freaking tragedy .. these ain’t sh!t doctors saw money instead of motive .. they could of fixed him but they made him worse with their misdiagnosis smh

Through 8 years of misdiagnosis it turns out he had Lyme disease. You get Lyme disease by being bitten by a tick. That's how he got ill in the first place but the years of misdiagnosis and medications for mental and physical illnesses he didn't have have affected his mind and body.
