Too many people feel the need to find something they are passionate about for work when, like you said, most of us aren’t drawn to any one particular thing. Or, if we are passionate about a creative endeavour that is seen as a “long shot”, trying to monetize this passion can be a painful experience that makes our passion less enjoyable. The people who have a chance at “making it” in a genuine sense are those who would practice their art even if they starved. They honestly just couldn’t be in any other line of work because they would be too miserable doing anything else. It’s a difficult life to live, especially if you struggle for the sake of your passions, but the few who succeed truly deserve it, I believe. The rest of us just need to find something that makes use of our most marketable skills. Something that we can tolerate, maybe even feel proud of, and that allows us the freedom to enjoy the life we want to live.
So sorry that you are one of the many that did not have a father at home to help. I feel honored to help with positive advice. I am 51 and likely around the age of your father. I truly do have a good heart and try to give the best possible advice I can based on the things I had to go through. I sure hope it helps you!

Rly like this video... i recently turned 18 and about to graduate high school in australia, pretty lost with what i want to be but i feel like everyone is, and the people that aren't probably will be at some point i think im gonna do something in the statistics / data analytics area and go from there.
Sounds like a good choice. My only fear is AI might disrupt that industry but you have to choose something and hopefully you can evolve that into something else if AI starts disrupting that field! Happy to have a friend in Australia!

Hi its me again. In the UK I live off my pension!! I have to pay rent rates, food and bills out of £800 a month. I had to retire for heart attack!! So I agree you have to survive. Unfortunately I'm not as fortunate as you to have savings but I survive. Mu dogs snd cats are fed which is my priority x
So happy you are caring for your animal family and have enough to do so. I know life must be challenging living off a small pension but glad you are surviving it. This is why I spend some time talking about finances so people can be warned and educated and hopefully implement life changes that better prepare them. Thank you for sharing.

Most employers provide 2 weeks paid vacations per year but it does vary by employer. Some offer more and some do not offer paid time off but allow you to take time off.
@@ASMRReality oh wow, very different in the UK, we have 7/8 public holidays and then the standard is usually around 24 days paid vacation. Really interesting to see as I would love to move to the states when I'm late 20's

I think there is some good parts of this if you have a job that pays you well that you are happy with then having the additional free time will add to a much more balanced life but I think it does make it harder to get ahead financially if you are working a job that isn't paying you much, then the free time just means less money and likely if you are short of money, the free time is likely not as enjoyable.
@@ASMRReality 100%. My job has no overtime and I live in a very rural area so extra jobs are difficult to come by. And as soon as I have 2 jobs the tax I have to pay is huge. Just doing my best at the moment haha!
