Do you have to do 15 minutes of TE in order to bill for it? For example, I have a 30 minute appointment. I do TE for 10 minutes, and ME for 20 minutes. Can I bill 1 TE and 1 MT or do I need to do 15 minutes of TE and then 8-10 minutes of MT?

I think the reason for my confusion is that the clinic I work at requires us to do 15 minutes of exercise before billing 1 TE then we follow the 8 minute rule after that. The only reason I can think they do that is because some payers will deny if TE is less than 15 minutes. Or they have a misunderstanding.

It has to be between 8-22 minutes. So you should charge one unit for each.

Different clinics might have different policies for how they do things.

You should really check with your billing department or finance group. Different organizations have different policies.
