Since y'all asked, ED 1 and 3 were actually done using paint-on-glass animation. Every frame was painted (with a backlit sketch for reference) using oil paints on a pane of glass. When the painting's done they take a picture, upload it to a computer and start over, using Photoshop for any necessary touch ups. ED1 took a month to make.
The name of the band in charge of all the openings of this series is "Mob Choir" and was created specifically to create the openings of Mob psycho 100. The vocalist is Sana from the band "Sanjou no hana" who did the last opening of Naruto Shippuden, a song that you guys really liked and one of the best in the series...
I highly recommend this anime. It's an amazing anime, only 3 12 episode seasons. It has one of the best story endings I've seen in anime that it actually made me cry at the end of the final episode. It's also amazingly animated by studio Bones.
This anime is pretty much about a boy growing and realizing who he is and knowing it's ok to show your feelings talking can solve things and adults are supposed to be adults no need for kids to deal with adult matters
Fun fact about Op 1 and 3 is that the ending of Op 3 uses the same beeps as the start of Op 1, so it's like a loop. Always love the openings since they have their own choir. Thanks for the video.
The anime is just as healing and rejuvenating as the songs. Easily one of the best anime out there and personally one of my tops. You learn so many life lessons and develop so much as a person while watching this and the show did change me as a person when I watched it. I highly, highly recommend.
Fun fact: the bassist for sajou no hana (the ones that did ending 2 and 3, the vocalist also sang the openings) is Tatsuya Kitani, the same guy who did Bleach TYBW opening and special ED, jjk S2 opening and he is also the bassist for Yorushika! edit: he also composed and is the bassist for mob psycho opening 2, the bassist for kami-sama i have noticed and he also worked on some of mafumafu, ado and TK songs HE IS EVERYWHERE

Oh, one thing, the openings artist is listed as "Mob choir" which is a professional singer and musicians, but the production staff also participate. All the counting and chanting you hear were done by the directors, animators and staff that was involved in the series. They really loved Mob Psycho and it shows.
Shigeo Kageyama aka “Mob” is the protagonist and he’s an esper (has telekinetic powers). His powers work off of his emotions which is why he tries to bottle them inside, and throughout the series he has inevitable slow progressions to his power “explosion” of a certain emotion; happiness, rage, fear, etc: 1-100% that are based off his experiences and interactions. That’s why the Openings all relate to numbers/counting, etc. Similar to Saitama in One Punch Man (also same author/creator ONE), he’s an overpowered kid in his respective universe learning to just act like a kid and not deal with the stress of adult problems. Top tier characters, comedy, animation, good vibes, and fights. Highly recommend.

But the one that would be most hype, is Season 2, episode 5. That one lives rent-free in my head. THAT character was insane to watch.

What's interesting about Mob Psycho 100 compared to One Punch Man is that they decided to keep with the art style of the mangaka, One. One Punch Man is a web comic by One that was later redrawn in Shonen Jump bu Yusuke Murata (famous for the art of Eyeshield 100). That's why the art of Mob Psycho is not as polished and looks weird. ONE is a great storyteller but is a bad artist compared to most manga artists.
However, Mob Psycho 100 was animated by an absolute crack team of industry legends put together specifically for the production. Because the art style is so simple, they were able to use it to really elevate the quality of the animation. Very smart work, tbh.

99 openings? well...... detective conan (case closed) is getting close to 60 openings/endings rn and the anime series is 1100+ episodes, been airing for 20+ years and it's still not at 99 ops lol that would be crazy. (one piece is also long but case closed is longer atm)
Day 51 of recommending the opening and ending of "Spare Me Great Lord". It's a chinese anime, so slightly different to the stuff you've reacted to so far, but it's got some of the vibest music and animation I've ever seen.
Though One wrote both Mob psycho 100 and OP man, One Punch man was adapted by another Mangaka who made a Manga about high school American football, Eye Shield 21 (Just to clarify most anime is adapted about a few years after the manga was published so some rules would be different then and was changed now.)
op2 was the opening of the year iirc. I don't agree ofc since that year definitely had so many better songs. It was definitely a thievery how it got the op of the year. Just checked, it got the award when the year had: dororo opening, promised neverland opening, domestic girlfriend opening, boogiepop phantom opening, shield hero op, demon slayer op1, carole & tuesday op, vinland saga op, isekai cheat magician op[trash anime, but myth&roid opening], beastars opening, mha op4. It definitely wasnt the op of the year tbh.
