Nice! Taking time off for these activities can actually improve your thought processes when returning to school. Even a brief walk on a nature trail has helped me in the past when I have been "stuck" on a project. Enjoy the rest of 2024!
Hey Tyler! Curious if you had any advice on eating/nutrition while on extended trips. Do you use any sort of cooling or refrigeration or go without? I miss seeing you around Sportrock, but sick to see you're out there getting on what you're passionate about!
For sure! I use a pretty big cooler on trips like this and have a gas stove as well. I end up eating pretty much the same as when I’m back home (eggs, meat, vegetables). Main thing for me is getting enough protein when I’m out climbing all day (I try and do 20-25g every 4ish hours). Hopefully that helps a bit. I think nutrition is pretty important especially when you’re out camping and climbing for extended periods it’s easy to not get enough calories or protein.
My favorite part of Tyler Thompson is his medieval ass haircut
😂
Dude I don’t know how to cut hair I’m trying 😂
