Meteion is visiting dead worlds.
That part slipped me by when I first saw it, but rewatching it, I started losing it. It's so subtle and blatant all at once.

WoW is a very dead world.
That's the same theory I feel too for the existence of the teleporter device - Zenos was truly satisfied with the last battle with WoL and there's nothing more that he (Zenos) wish for WoL to carry on. I think towards the end of the arc, Zenos see WoL as a very close frenemy - a worth foe that quenched his thirst.
Urianger presents it as a possibility to. In the end, it's kinda left for interpretation depending on how much you liked Zenos
I feel like he changed his mind in the end.
The fight was truly supposed to end with him and WOL killing each other but Zenos’ at the back of his mind, wanted the WOL to live.
Why? Because he knows that the WOL has the Scions, we have plenty of adventures to go on.
And so in a sense, he ruined his own perfect battle for us to live on.
@@Carsu12 I've seen them do this with stuff that's even true because Uri or anyone of them would have no way of knowing this factually in game. I feel they put it there for a reason but can't outright state it.

@@diousthomas8878 Not necessarily, the fight already had a winner and Zenos would have not liked that his friend died alongside him despite winning. He already had his fight and even if he was a sore loser admiting he was not expecting to lose again he was not up to the point of wanting the WoL dead no matter what, plus he knew that unlike him the WoL had still things to do

Wait. I thought everybody knew the teleporter was brought back to us by Zenos. That's how I took it, since that thing literally comes down on right by our side. It was his final farewell.
If I recall correctly, we saw it go flying off in the wind or something earlier. I guess I just assumed that it conveniently came back down at that moment. And right next to the WoL. Which I'll admit I thought was a bit silly.
@@marcw6875 Since it was mentioned that the teleporter would teleport you and itself back to the ship, everyone gets one, one uses it, everyone gets teleported, so I always think our teleporter went back to the ship with the scions, and this one was either the same one wished back or created by the will of Zenos. Since unless ours was faulty, a considerable amount of time has passed since we pressed it.

I love Zenos, but I don't understand why people are so convinced it was him that made the teleporter appear. Zenos knew nothing of Dynamis nor the teleporter. It actually makes way more sense that it was Metion's wish because she knew of both. The scions said Metion appeared without you and then went back to look for you; we never see her again after that so it seems more likely she gave the last of herself to bring the teleporter to you. I think the Zenos' theory is people just trying to redeem him, but he doesn't need to be redeemed.
It's because before all that, Zenos have said how he knows WoL have more to than just fighting him (Zenos). Zenos doesn't have anything else left to live for, but he knows WoL does.
For me, his desire for WoL to return back was his last wish out of respect for his dear friend and enemy, especially after he got the battle he desired.
Of course, it's open enough so it could be other reasons. People like the theory since Urianger DID suggest it as a possibility.
im going to half ass explain it but dont forvet it was krile who told him what the shit we are doing so her explaining it to him is quite plausible. He shattered literally reality to get to you for endsinger so maybe that was his act of desire to see you that brought him to you So he may have grasped the concept pretty quickly. again im just half assing an explanation
Don't need to know about dynamis to perform dynamis. Limit break is a dynamis based ability, which we use quite frequently. (or rather wol uses frequently) Yet until endwalker we didn't know about what the power really is. Same goes to Elidibus, being able to manifest Wol's powers, thus being able to use limit break/dynamis powers without him even have powers to control dynamis in his own form.
(also we see Metion flying around in the cs back at Mor dhona)
And for the teleporter, you dont really need to wish for a specific thing when it comes to dynamis it seems. Just the emotion, desire is enough to manifest it. Throughout Ultima thule there are moments where we question the way forward as we don't seem to see it until the sacrifice. Which implies that the emotion itself is the way forward, how it manifests is based on the situation. Same could be applied to Zenos, as he finally got what he wanted and was satisfied, thus wishing us a way back as he cucked us from it with the fight.
@@ftran789 There's a lot of holes in your LB explanation.
1. Dynamis is a form of creation magic. While powerful, Limit Break is a simple concept; "Make big damage, make big shield, make big heal." Even Elidibus couldn't make anything more complicated. The only Dynamis creation that has complexity is Metion, who Hermes was able to create due to his vast knowledge of the subject. Zenos couldn't have created a complex remote capable of forcing a teleport without more understanding of Dynamis.
2. Limit Breaks manifest from the user themselves, so why would he make the device spawn from the sky? Seems more likely that it was dropped from the sky by a bird.
3. Back when we were first told of Dynamis, or Akhasha as we knew it at the time, we were told that it is extremely hard to control, to the point where it was just considered a theory. We were even told that it seems people are only able to use it under intense emotion or desperation. Zenos had neither, as you said, he was satisfied with the end.
Also, the bird at the end could be taken as simple symbolism. I doubt Metion is hanging out in Eorzea, waiting to go on an adventure with us. She refers to you as her final encounter after you beat her, hinting at her dying state.
@@RAM23Wolf Well, if internet strangers aren't going to convince you, maybe Urianger, and by extension the writers, will. He hints at the possibility when you talk to him at the end when you have to talk to all the Scions.
I think Zenos will be our ally in the next expansion. I may be wrong, I may be right
I want him to be alive and be an actual supporting character , now that he finally got his fullfilment , maybe he'll have new goals

Yep, I think I was in worse shape then Savix when I realized the WoL really had to kill Zenos. I intentionally make [character name here] reject any offer to kill any other character. But I get why my version of the WoL and Ishikawa’s would have different views on Zenos offer. If the WoL refuses, Zenos could revert back into his self destructive ‘inferno’ phase and put other people in danger. He hates ‘mundanity’- that’s why he refuses ‘being good’, because he sees the quiet moments as a continuation of his time *actually being good in the empire*- super boring, going through the motions, and meaningless. I do hope we get the chance to at least talk some sense into a version of Zenos at some point. Because… uh… here’s my hybrid of the German and Eng translations:

No. Meteion said that she'll show you the way home, and was expecting you to follow. The teleporter doesn't appear until after the zenos fight, so it was him
i don’t think she meant it literally, to walk and follow and such. it is impossible. who knows how far they’ve flew during the fight. we still have to deal with zenos anyway so meteion probably know that too. so after the showdown with zenos and he died, jobs done, and we are dead tired. we then wished with all heart that we wanted to see our friends again, then the teleporter appeared. dynamis can takes many forms and in this case it’s the teleporter. i think it makes sense this way.

Urianger debunks the teleporter stuff immediately:

So it was either you or zenos who dropped the teleporter, and since you were already passing out, It's not that far fetched for Zenos to give you your way out after you satisfied him with his battle.

In all fairness, the answer to how you get home is pretty open ended. Could be zenos, could be meteion, could even be you.
Meteion had already flown off to the Ragnarok by that point, so Zenos seems like the most likely possibility

This was great... but I still feel I liked Pint's better. The crap guide to ff14 series was epic to.
From a story point of view, Mition told you what to do to fly after her before she left. She probably arrived to the ship and told everyone what happened. When you were taking too long she probably thought you couldnt figure out how to fly or something. One of the twins must have asked her to give you back the teleporter used on them so she just flyed back and threw it on you. If the Zeno theory gets popular enough, the writters might make it out to be his doing somehow.
If you talk to Urianger for his optional dialogue at the end of the story at Mor Dhona, he says that nobody sent the device to you, but also that he confirmed with the creators of the device that it has "no such function" to return to its owner. He says something along the lines of "perhaps it was the fervent prayers of another soul which returned the device to thee?" or something. So it's heavily implied that its Zenos.
I could be wrong, but doesn't Urianger or someone have dialogue that alludes to this possibly being the case back in rising stones?
