He has likely been humbled by playing in a tournament environment with Team Liquid and not just being able to hard carry. It likely taught him the importance of being careful and respecting your opponent, as well as better tactics and teamplay.

i'm pretty good with all of Genji's kit, at least im good enough to get me all the way to grand master maining genji, but on thing that I suck at is his ultimate. I can never get more than one kill before dying. any tips with his ult?
Cit K always try to set it up so you can dive on a target you can reset on. try to combo with ults that can help you survive (zen ult lucio ult and Ana ults are typically the best) and be ready to dive on a different person in moments notice. it takes practice.
