As far I know, admissions is all about what you bring to the table and what the institution has to gain from your admission. Having lived in on-campus housing over the summer wouldn't add value to an applicant.

Precisely! What qualities/traits/innovative ideas can you bring to their university. Colleges want you to be successful at their institution and beyond, so you can go on to become a famous alum and donate money/build up the college brand!

@@rachel_lin Yeah, they look for students who are exceptional academically to make up for student athletes and others who will donate to the institution, but might not excel academically. Someone who just gets by with C's and isn't going to donate money after graduation doesn't add value.

it will tell them one thing: You're rich and can pay almost if not full tuition fee!
