Myke C-Town SLICK SHIRT!! Too bad I'm not as cool as Fantano. I sold out of the care packages and hoodies I was planning on sending you. I will have more soon. Best wishes to the ***** crew
Drone Jones theneedledrop and Myke C-Town are 2 of my fav online reviewers.. Believe it or not you are one of my fav beatmakers, top 5. Your live MPC drumming is on point and on par with Jel and Buddy Peace IMO. Why did you take down vids from DroneJones account??The routines on the DVD blew me away. I need more Dr. Jones vids as well as your improv band jam sessions. Are you still working with qwell&Galapgos 4 camp? DarkDays-was my shit. Where can I find EP you did w/ Noah23 feat. Sole, Bleubird ,Robust , still available? I've been out of the loop as of late. Sorry to ramble I just had to give props to one of my favorite underrated beatsmiths. Hope you are still grinding
Beat Fiend WOW! I don't know what to say.. I'm glad you enjoyed the package! Thanks for grabbing one man, I truly appreciate it. I will be uploading content on this account by february. Stay in touch fam!
I started collecting 2 years ago. I'm up about 125 records (I collect everything, new/used, Hip Hop to drone) and it has become an addiction in life, but I love it. I've started to realize that the only 2 things I care about in life are good black coffee and vinyl. Everything else is just a bonus
Zelinc Haha! I would have agreed with you a few years ago when I could still drink coffee. So now mine is good herbal tea, records and cats. But keep that collection going!
Myke C-Town Haha I appreciate it Myke! Over all the coolest and most rewarding hobby I've had in life. I also started to find a lot more metal because of you so that's a plus! Also I got you on the tea. I drink some myself at night as well
That first question, after you said "You're a confused teenager", I thought you were going to say "Dude, I'm a confused adult" haha. Or maybe that's just what I would've said. ;D
That advice about college was really good. Definitely wish I would have taken a year off. I went in as a studio art major and ended up double majoring in graphic design. Now I barely make art anymore cause design pays the bills but I don’t enjoy it.
I worked at a record store and it was always funny buying vinyl for pennies and have the old school listeners and customers scoop it up. If your ever in the Midwest look for a place called The Exchange. We sell Vinyl, CD's , Movies, Games and collectibles. Are vinyl is cheap too.
The vinyl resurgence got me into vinyl, and I'm glad it did. While I still primarily enjoy music digitally (it's much more convenient) I usually buy LPs of the albums I love the most. My digital explorations lead to calculated purchases of physical music. I love it this way.
Dom's Sketch Cast Yup. I still give it to them. Because, then, at least they can't ever say that they had no other options. But I have lots of friends like this. And, yes, it is a bit annoying.
Hahaha, I relate with “I don’t know how to inhale” so heavily. I remember being a teenager trying to “smoke” weed with people and having them ask me why I wasn’t high. Because I don’t know how to use this fuckin science project contraption and get it into my lungs!
8:00 i remember i was with a friend the first time he was gonna smoke weed, and he had the joint turned around when he was gonna take a hit, but then i stopped him. Lol. I think he was just nervous.
I simply love having a physical copy of everything. Whether it's video games, music, movies/show, etc. I don't like only having it digitally. I will say that I prefer vinyl to CD because it is more of a collectors item than a CD is. I'm that kinda of guy who likes to collect and have the special, deluxe edition of whatever comes out lol boxsets for TV series and things like that
MP3 is basically my primary because of my Ipod. But I purchase physical copies of the albums that I truly love. Like Only Built for Cuban Linx, and Pil''s Metal Box. (Huge leap huh?)
see kids drugs are baaahhhhd And if you don't believe me ask your daaaaahhhhd And if u don't believe him ask ur maaaahhhmm She'll say she does them all the tiiimmme.. I thought you were gonna start singin' that for a second myke! hahaha
I was told the other day at an antique store that their copy of Dylan's Self Portrait album would cost me $250! I couldn't get out of there fast enough.
On the subject of drugs, or weed especially. It's true the effects can be different for people, however there's different kinds of weed. Indica gives you more of a relaxed stoned feeling, while Sativa gives a more energetic high. But there's alot of hybrids. So some weeds suit an individual better than others. I haven't smoked it for years, but I live in Amsterdam so yeah.
bernardovhrm I'd never heard of them but I just listened. They're OK. These days I'm not super into crazy technical clean death metal. I'd prefer it to be downtuned and gross sounding. I look at it like black metal. The uglier the better for me. But that band's not bad. Kinda reminds me of old Cryptopsy mixed with Dillinger Escape Plan. Maybe I'll revisit. So thanks!
Hell yeah Myke yet again another great video! I think the vinyl resurgence is also good and bad. I just cant stand the repressings of records you can get at any goodwill for a dollar. Ferreal who wants a 2014 reissue of al hirt or herp alpert whipped cream for $35... lol and also these trendy cats dont know the plastic crappy suitcase turntables are actually slowly destroying there records. The weight/ tracking on the needle digs into the records badly so yeah just some cats that dont know what there doing. You need a quality table to play records son.
PJ inepthabit VICTORdowns I think I know what he means. When you own something tangible there does seem to be a deeper connection to the album itself. At least for some people. The VERY few times I've purchased a digital copy of something, I never really felt like I actually owned it until I bought a physical copy. Having the actual casing, the lyric sheet, etc changes the experience for me. I feel like I'm not kind of a part of the album because I put my money towards it. I contributed in some odd way. Maybe that's what he means? Surely I don't push that method of thinking on other people, though, because I'm aware that it's not common.
Myke C-Town Yeah, I do get it, wanting to support the artist, and the desire for something more tangible. It's not like I don't do it at all. But I still think the music itself remains most important, the music is what I connect most with, the rest just adds to it.
Myke C-Town thanks Myke. That's exactly what i meant, of course the music comes first but when you buy that vinyl or tape, throw it on, look at the cover and lyrics while listening all the way through, personally i feel more connected with the music and artist.
If the guy behind the first question sees this: Not that I've probably experienced as much as Myke (purely because of the age difference) but I totally back what C-Town said, especially about college (or university, in the UK). I didn't know what I wanted to do even DURING my years there and I'd taken a gap year before then too; and at 25, I'm still not all that sure. Hell, if I'd known how much I'd hate university and how worthless a degree has become (don't know about the US but in the UK it is) I probably wouldn't have gone and found a placement or an apprenticeship. Don't feel alone, it's perfectly normal. The Needle Drop also said something a while back (can't remember the video) where he said once you've grown up and you have to work a job to keep your place and feed yourself, you don't have much time to perfect or fully indulge in hobbies; which I'm definitely experiencing. Enjoy your hobbies and enhance anything that you can consider a skill of yours while you have that time. Don't feel like it's time wasted because it's not - you won't have so much time for it later on. Just enjoy :)
Richard Owens Yeah, you're right. The thing about the US is what you actually learn from getting your degree is essentially worthless. But, a lot of jobs still won't hire you without one. But, of course, that depends on the field you wanna go into . if it's an art based field (design, tattooing, etc) all you really need is a portfolio. But anything else...a degree is required. The fucked up thing is i doesn't even have to be a degree in that particular area. just a degree. So I can have a degree in political science and still get a job in marketing over someone with no degree who is a marketing wiz. It's really fucking stupid. Also, that's a great point that Fantano made. Spend this time indulging in your hobbies before you don't have the time to do this anymore! Great point!
Myke C-Town Yeah, a lot of my friends who have done degrees in different forms of art have all said that it was practically worthless, but that they left with connections. The whole situation is sort of frustrating though. I have a degree in English Lit and it seems like the only thing you can do with it is become a teacher, which I have no interest in. So at the moment, I'm sort of rotting away in a supermarket (I am jobsearching for something better though). And sort of what you said, a lot friends I had in university haven't gone into jobs in line with their degree at all. Well paid (and pretty interesting) jobs, but nothing to do what they studied at all.
People can intake what they want, but when I learn someone around me is into coke or hard drugs like that, I will try distance myself. And the reason might sound a little crazy, but it's because I don't want to associate with anything that encourage any mafia when I know in those mafias it's always the people at the bottom who get killed for the stupidest reasons. But there are people who take hard drugs EVERYWHERE. A lot of people I admire take hard drugs. It feels like in the movie Invasion Of The Body Snatchers. Nobody gets outraged by anything.
Nerozumim I distance myself from people who do hard drugs because I don't want my shit stolen. That's really kinda where it starts and ends. I've heard too many horror stories. I couldn't imagine coming home to my records being gone because some tweeked out motherfucker took them and sold them to some local pawn shop. I'd be in jail THAT DAY for murder. Straight up.
And oh god man, just hearing the word brownies in a drug conversation makes me moan, I don't know why people do it, it sounds like a fucking nightmare. One of my friends told me that when he does it, time slows down and each minute feels like an hour. Fuck no. Drugs are just generally rubbish, by and large. A conversation with a dealer is the best evidence of that.
Good home grown non hydraponic weed and mild hash are lovely when smoked. As for edibles I will touch them ever again, it's not even an enjoyable experience.
LOL yeah your girl did something called "greening out". You can't overdose on weed, but, you can still have WAY too much and freak the fuck out. 4 edibles is too much for anybody, really. I started collecting vinyl records last fall, and, while I really enjoy having physical copies of music again, I've noticed that a lot of companies these days are getting really fucking lazy about their pressings. I think maybe 2/3's of the records I've bought so far have either been cut way too off center, or the sound quality was just pure shit. It's very irritating because when I wanna own some vinyl I always have to prepare myself to be disappointed and go through the process of getting another copy till I get one that's actually listenable. I had to do this THREE TIMES for Kid A, and that's a record coming from a major label. All three copies were warped, off center, with tiny shreds on vinyl coming off the edges. If I'm paying $30 I should be getting better, yeah?
No dude! I buy records from two shops here in in town and two or three more in Nashville. Some people tell it's just factories printing cheap records to cash in to the trend, but, some of these 180 gram reissues I've been getting are flakey as FUCK. And they're supposed to be "audiophile quality". This is really fucking annoying.
Myke C-Town It's true. So many brand spanking new records I've bought skip every few seconds during particular songs or whole sections of the album. It's ridiculous, I've had better luck getting start to finish playable records from cheap used up records that look beat to hell than I have with tons of brand new vinyl I bought. It's a serious pain.
Skipping? You sure it's not your anti-skate not working properly? Or maybe dust? Only time my record skips is when the anti-skating is too low or it's dirty.
Lmao That happened to my girlfriend on GirlScoutCookies strain. I had to hold her down like you did to your gf. Funny stuff. It happens when they have too many thoughts before smoking or grubbin on edibles.
Arian hmn Hahahah! I can't lie...I do get kinda hyped when I see a super cute girl at the record store. Especially if she's buying good shit and she's not looking for a new copy of some Dave Matthews Band record.
I hate being grouped into this culture of young hipsters who are getting into vinyl, because it's trendy. Since I was a kid, I've always thought vinyl LPs were cool as shit. But it's not until now that I have my own money that I've been able to buy my own turntable, and records. I have about 200 records, but I don't have a single fuckin' Beatles, Pink Floyd, or Radiohead record in this bitch. And I don't intend to. Old school Metal records is where I'm at.
Those must have been some weak brownies if one didn't effect you. Weed does effect everyone differently, but if you had four like your girl did you would have been gone.
We all wanna buy those SHIRTS!!!!!
theneedledrop I'll make one specially for you.
Myke C-Town SLICK SHIRT!! Too bad I'm not as cool as Fantano. I sold out of the care packages and hoodies I was planning on sending you. I will have more soon. Best wishes to the ***** crew

Beat Fiend WOW! I don't know what to say.. I'm glad you enjoyed the package! Thanks for grabbing one man, I truly appreciate it. I will be uploading content on this account by february. Stay in touch fam!
Your brownie story would be funny as an animation.
Dom's Sketch Cast Do eeeeeeeeeeiiiiiiiiiiiittttttt!!!!!
Definitely one of the cooler people on youtube
capostatus937 Well shucks.
I started collecting 2 years ago. I'm up about 125 records (I collect everything, new/used, Hip Hop to drone) and it has become an addiction in life, but I love it. I've started to realize that the only 2 things I care about in life are good black coffee and vinyl. Everything else is just a bonus

I make a pour-over of some freshly roasted South American beans and pop on a vinyl every morning. You have found the good things in life, man.
I like to hear things like this! It's nice to be reminded that their are people out there with similar tastes as me. It's a great and simple life.
To pay $75 for a record it better be a RARE master copy of some band I love more than life itself
you would make a really cool manager at Goodwill
Myke C-Town I'm starting to realize the secret behind your humor Myke, adverse adjectives and obtuse nouns are key
+Harry Pot Ok. Congrats.
That first question, after you said "You're a confused teenager", I thought you were going to say "Dude, I'm a confused adult" haha. Or maybe that's just what I would've said. ;D
Shit! I wish I had said that! That woulda been perfect! Haha!
Hahahaha dude that brownie story had me dying!
That advice about college was really good. Definitely wish I would have taken a year off. I went in as a studio art major and ended up double majoring in graphic design. Now I barely make art anymore cause design pays the bills but I don’t enjoy it.
This has to be one of the funniest WDYWKs i have ever seen
I worked at a record store and it was always funny buying vinyl for pennies and have the old school listeners and customers scoop it up. If your ever in the Midwest look for a place called The Exchange. We sell Vinyl, CD's , Movies, Games and collectibles. Are vinyl is cheap too.
Nostalgic 247 Are you guys a chain? I've definitely been to a place called The Exchange before.
Yes.Midwest stores in Ohio ,Indiana, and Pennsylvania. Any memorable purchases?
Nostalgic 247 Nah. Never record shopped in any of those places. It must have been another record store called The Exchange.
The vinyl resurgence got me into vinyl, and I'm glad it did. While I still primarily enjoy music digitally (it's much more convenient) I usually buy LPs of the albums I love the most.

Thanks for the reply! I appreciate it man, that space brownie story was pretty funny lol
C-Town! Keep up the great work my dude.
How do you feel when you encounter people in your life/followers who ask for advice, but you know they won't listen? Does that bug you?
Dom's Sketch Cast Yup. I still give it to them. Because, then, at least they can't ever say that they had no other options. But I have lots of friends like this. And, yes, it is a bit annoying.

Made my friday night a bit better!
Great upload as usual. Be interested to hear your thoughts on the new Lupe Fiasco, whether its on DEHH or here. Peace
I agree with you about the pricing of vinyl
good advice!
Trish Mullins I try...
On the subject of drugs, or weed especially. It's true the effects can be different for people, however there's different kinds of weed. I'm DEAD at this pot brownie story
Real shit Myke.
Chance Cooper Neva fake...
THAT SHIRT IS DOPE AF (even tho it's small on ya :3)! p.s. I cared about the story ;D
Razor Gaming Ha! Well, thanks!
Right on.
I dont understand how and why people would buy or steal their music digitally. There is almost no connection with the music or the artist.
The biggest connection will always be the music itself though, so to say there's almost no connection is false in my opinion.
So most of your connection to music doesn't come from music, but stuff related to it?
PJ inepthabit VICTORdowns I think I know what he means. When you own something tangible there does seem to be a deeper connection to the album itself. At least for some people. The VERY few times I've purchased a digital copy of something, I never really felt like I actually owned it until I bought a physical copy. Spot on about the t shirt. Lol
I wanted to know
Fuck

Myke C-Town
It's true. So many brand spanking new records I've bought skip every few seconds during particular songs or whole sections of the album. Chikubi
Not gonna lie, I don't know what anti-skating is. So that might be it.
Sounds like that girl hit the shenanigans
Lol, you must be the FIRST TH-camr who is not selling his t-shirts!!!
Nerozumim Dude...no one wants an airbrushed C-Town shirt! Hahaha!
Lmao
That happened to my girlfriend on GirlScoutCookies strain. I had to hold her down like you did to your gf.
Funny stuff.
It happens when they have too many thoughts before smoking or grubbin on edibles.
I don't know, i think it is cool that other people my age buy records too, especially that cute girls does it.
Arian hmn Hahahah! I can't lie...I do get kinda hyped when I see a super cute girl at the record store. Especially if she's buying good shit and she's not looking for a new copy of some Dave Matthews Band record.
anyone else smokin weed while watching this
Lmao the ending tho
4 pot brownies will fuck you up man...
All weed does for me is make my throat dry and make me sleepy.
Sounds like Indica, try Sativa if you want a more energetic high.
THERE AINT NO WAY THATS A YOUTH LARGE C-TOWN..........THATS THE SIZE A FUCKING 10 YR. OLD WEARS.
poserdisposer69 Sorry...but it's true. I can post a pic of the tag if you like.
Lmao!
Gay rights now!!!!!!
Why don't you ever talk about important issues like gay right's?
