When Milk was first released she was in high school. She even went through a college phase getting some experimental experience with kush. Now they're entering the working world. Its great she grew up with us
Milk has a special place in my heart, because it was one of the first brands I purchased from when I first got into beauty (it was a kit with their mini skincare sticks). I drifted away from them a bit over the years, but it’s nice to hear that they’re still putting out high-quality products.
1. I appreciate the behind-the-scenes insight you provided about Milk's commitment to DEI. This is the kind of information you can't just get from a regular review video! 2. Looove your eye look; the chalk doesn't look like it's for me but I'll be seeking out a similar shade. 3. Love your top here! What brand is it from? 4. Also love your green ring LOL. Also curious about the brand!
Just purchased my first Milk Makeup products.... Hydro Grip Set & Refresh Spray and Future Fluid. So far liking it! Glad I came across your channel as I was thinking about purchasing their other products and was a bit hesitant. Thank you for your honest review. It was quite informative. Thanks again!
I watched this super late the other night! So just came back to say I loved this. So interesting to get your perspective on the brands integrity, especially on gender as I find so many creators just don't talk about this and are very gendered/'girl' focused. I really like the Milk eye primer and def want to try the concealer and also the new setting spray, especially as the weather gets warmer! Oh yes and the eye chalks. I saw Rudi Berry use them and she used them by sort of pressing the pigment on to the lid w a small brush.
Thanks so much, Jo! I think it's important to share the BTS perspective we have as creators when we can. I think a lot of people wonder about these things (I definitely did before I became a creator) so I'm glad to hear that resonates with you.
This is an excellent review. I got the eye primer as a sample in my Sephora mail. I was pleasantly surprised so I appreciate this review before the April sale. I'd love to support this company. The thing is - like Drunk Elephant- a lot of these clean, new companies aren't carrying enough of the necessary ingredients for people over 35. Still, I'll probably try the blushes, or highlighter (although I have my eye on Rare Beauty highlighters just b/c I've never tried any Rare Beauty products. I'm all SkinFix, First Aid Beauty (best Mineral sunscreen ever), Murad, Clinique and Mac girl. Still, nice to try new things. I love their philosophy.
Remember when they had the tongue stains? 😂 I wish they brought back the shadow liners. Perk is always a holy grail for me. I loved their blur sticks too.

I never used anything from Milk makeup, but their new concealer is one thing I definitely want to try, as I like full coverage creamy concealers

UNIQUE!
Wow. So they brought back the sponge for you?
Haha I don't think it was for *me* exactly - I just made my love for the sponge known :)
