Very honest and sincere. You understand your own psychological personality/profile. The foundation of your upbringing has both positive and negative aspects but I get the feeling you will transcend and alchemise with your spiritual knowledge. Trading is just a tool but you already know this. Bless you and all youth with the abundance you desire but also the wisdom to know it is not the be all and end all.
Great podcast mate. Do agree there are definitely lots of people that grow up from privileged and wealthy backgrounds that go on to become lazy and unmotivated individuals although from my own life experience I’ve witnessed many people who have grown up with nothing actually settling for perceived mediocrity and a safety net. Their parents didn’t have the financial resource or time to nurture and grow their skills/passions and also didn’t have the opportunity to develop those skills through a lack of education/coaching and many other factors/problems that a low-income upbringing provides. I’m sure that if you looked at the data and looked at parental household income vs average annual salary through that persons life the graph would look something like / . Definitely exceptions to the rule both ways and I’d argue it’s much more down to the values you are raised with, the skill of the parenting and the amount of time your parents devote to helping you nurture whatever skill or passion you have. Other factors that surround low income families such as crime + alcohol/substance abuse can in some cases also severely negatively impact a young persons chances in life. Interesting discussion
Hi Tom. Thanks for listening. You're spot on with your points: I made it a point to highlight my upbringing and culture as the backbone as to why many people from my background succeed despite limited resources. Whilst I wasn't given anything by way of financial means, I was raised with love and support and encouraged to work hard towards my goals. My parents led by example. You rightfully pointed out that many low income households do infact create a vicious cycle of poverty and mediocrity. Whilst tough circumstances do throw up limited opportunities, they also provide a chance to learn tough lessons. Not everyone makes the same choices.
Jeeez what a class episode mate I’m from a Indian background and I know exactly what you mean regarding proving parents wrong that comes with a lot of pressure but I’ve learnt if l believe in myself I will see the end result Good luck with everything bro
Lessons to be learned from this video.. Mentality!!. I have started trading outright Football markets.. mental fortitude is needed.. pumping your bankroll into a system with a payout at the end of the season is testing at times.. but there is a end goal... we thrive to reach it
As always, a very insightful, thought provoking vid. Must admit that your vids have become no 1 go to in terms of vids to watch, for me. Can relate a lot to your comments - speaking as someone raised in a house with no bath room, and raising a good standard of life for me and family only for it to be taken away from me, However, it didnt mean much to me as i just wanted to dust myself down and get cracking again. Ultimately though, i need to be able to create a income through Trading that enables me to get myself through post work in order for me to sustain myself , without the desire to make a big income (though it would be nice !)
Thanks for the kind comment Stuart. You have a good attitude. Fastest way to get profitable is to figure out what markets suit you. From there, keep chipping away till you find an edge. Be disciplined with risk management and you’ll be good to go. It’s not easy but if you’re diligent in your approach you can do it!
