Short and Sweet Ups and Downs .... I like your viewpoint ... you go WestGirl ...just keep moving is simple smart advice. Thanks ..28.3 miles is crazy great ... You're amazing
I hope you stay safe Becca. I 've heard 3 times now that there's beenproblems with aggressive bears on the AT. And 2 of those places were areas you have recently gone through. STAY SAFE
Cheers to your progress and pace!👏No doubt Spider webs were not meant to capture bears. Just to annoy early morning hikers. Thanks for clearing a path. Seemingly you love soda. Here comes a concern. Please beware, soda will dehydrate. A can of soda seems to quench thirst. However, the caffeine contained in soda is a diuretic This can cause dehydration. As well, high levels of sodium and sugar in soda can also contribute to dehydration. Just saying as fan who cares. Your videos have amazing quality. So clear and beautiful. Bravo to your encouraging words👏 The one who succeeds is the one who keeps going step by step. Be well. Wishing you peace and fair weather ahead. Happy Trails!
Becca - I know the 3 trails are different. At this point on the AT, do you find it much easier? I realize that once you get further north, your opinion may change. You're really knocking out the miles, making really good time. Take care and stay safe.
I would like to know this too. I’ve been asking Stella Hikes who’s in the Whites and also doing her triple crown. She hasn’t answered yet. Daisy Hikes always said she liked the PCT the best. Travelin Beat is on it now towards his triple crown, in the Sierras now. He’ll make a video about his answer I’m sure.
I haven't done the CDT, but both PCT and AT. The AT is physically more challenging and steep with less switchbacks. The PCT is way more exposed however and needs longer water carries. Also way higher in elevation. The midsection of the AT is relatively easy, but rocky. The terrain on the AT is way more rugged. There's very few shelters on the PCT and less road crossings making it logistically tougher to get to towns. There's also a ton of snowpack this year but when there isn't there's always a good chance of wildfires you have to skirt around. Pleasantly surprised she's grooving out there no problem and hope she gives y'all an answer too!
. . . actually very few continue to drink sodas, or eat trash food. On trail you burn so many calories, you need sugar, and it's what's sold in convenience stores, but too much of anything will make you ill, so it's comfort food, and most lose weight, on a thruy. I always trid'a get a salad in town. You need ruffage, or suffer diarrhea. You can get what we us'a call, 'honeybun fever' . . . 🤮. Not you, Skittles . . . right? . . . 😜.
