  • Cape Town is a city that boasts some of the most beautiful and diverse beaches in the world. Whether you are looking for a trendy spot to soak up the sun, a family-friendly place to swim and surf, or a secluded cove to admire the wildlife, Cape Town has it all. In this video, we will take you on a tour of some of the best beaches in the city and show you what makes them so unique.
We will start with the Atlantic Seaboard, which is home to some of the most popular and fashionable beaches in Cape Town, such as Camps Bay Beach, Clifton Beach, Glen Beach, and Maiden’s Cove. These beaches are known for their white sand, turquoise water, stunning views of the Twelve Apostles and Lion’s Head mountains, and lively atmosphere. They are ideal for sunbathing, walking, or surfing, but be prepared for the cold water from the Antarctic current.
We will then move on to the False Bay side of the peninsula, which has warmer water and more family-friendly beaches like Boulders Beach. This beach is famous for its boardwalks that allow visitors to observe a colony of African penguins up close. The clear water and rocky coves make this beach a part of a protected marine reserve that visitors must pay an entrance fee to access. It is a great place to swim, snorkel, or watch these adorable creatures.
We will end with a special mention of Kogel Bay Beach and Gordon’s Bay, located on Clarence Drive. This scenic route boasts whale-watching opportunities along a largely undeveloped coastline. These beaches are known for their long sandy stretches, indigenous fynbos vegetation, boat launch and slipway facilities, and camping sites. They are ideal for water sports, picnics and braaing (barbecuing), or camping.
Join us as we explore these amazing beaches and discover why Cape Town is one of the best destinations for beach lovers. Don’t forget to like, comment, share, and subscribe for more travel videos.

If you are planning to visit Cape Town, you might be wondering which beaches are the best to enjoy the sun, sand, and sea. Cape Town has a variety of beaches to suit different preferences, from surfing and kite surfing, to swimming and sunbathing, to penguin spotting and scenic views. Here is a short guide to some of the best beaches in Cape Town, based on the web search results:
*Camps Bay Beach: This is one of the most popular and glamorous beaches in Cape Town, with a long stretch of white sand, clear water, and stunning views of the Twelve Apostles and Lion’s Head. It is also a great spot to watch the sunset and enjoy the nightlife at the nearby restaurants and bars.
*Clifton Beaches: Clifton has four beaches, each with its own vibe and crowd. They are all sheltered from the wind and have soft sand and turquoise water. Clifton 4th is the most famous and busiest, attracting celebrities and models. Clifton 2nd is popular among students and sports enthusiasts. Clifton 1st and 3rd are quieter and more secluded.
*Llandudno Beach: This is a beautiful and serene beach, surrounded by boulders and mountains. It is ideal for relaxing, swimming, and surfing, but not for amenities, as there are no shops or restaurants nearby. It is also a nudist-friendly beach, so be prepared to see some skin.
*Muizenberg Beach: This is the best beach for surfing in Cape Town, especially for beginners. It has gentle waves, warm water, and colorful beach huts. It also has a lot of activities, such as SUP, kite surfing, mini-golf, and a waterslide. It is a family-friendly beach, with a lively atmosphere and a flea market on Sundays.
*Boulders Beach: This is the most unique beach in Cape Town, as it is home to a colony of African penguins. You can watch them waddle, swim, and nest on the rocks and the sand. You can also swim with them, but be careful not to disturb them or get too close. There is an entrance fee to access the beach, which goes towards the conservation of the penguins.
*Bloubergstrand Beach: This is a long and wide beach, with a spectacular view of Table Mountain and Robben Island. It is a windy beach, which makes it perfect for kite surfing and windsurfing. It is also a good place to take photos, fly kites, or have a picnic.
