I'm just ordinary person who love all your vids even though I do not have any to buy great bikes such as yours. I really like your videos. It makes me feel like I'm the one who's riding. It's very comfortable to see. Greetings from Philippines.
I was talking with my friend who is from California, and I asked her about riding down Mullholland Drive because I had friends who talked about it and she told me about Decker Canyon and its a ride you will never forget. After watching both videos on wide screen, Decker is far riskier, I got goosebumps just watching this video.
Epic footage Brian! My 13 year old son did that with his Dad training a few years back and damn! As a cycling mom that just scared the shit outta me!! The digger at the end almost finished me off!!! Wow!! Love your vids man
ive done this descent exactly once years ago after the fires. we turned onto decker to go down about 2minutes after it started raining, yes in socal, and holy hell was that sketchy. two wheel drifts, carbon rim brakes, fun stuff if you dont mind thinking youre gonna overshoot every corner lol
I remember I was driving through the canyons about a month ago for a solid 2-3 hours and I tried to take Yerba back to Mulholland to get back to the Valley...only to find Mulholland was closed and I was on Decker driving all the way back to the PCH. xD I was so damn car sick by then I was like NOOOOOOOOO that CAN'T be the ocean!!
Decker Canyon is Westlake Blvd up to Mullholland, but it’s weird to call a two lane windy road a boulevard, so we always called it Decker...I grew up here, if we had to distinguish the two Deckers, one is Decker Road to the beach, other is Decker Canyon...ride down Decker Canyon (Westlake Blvd) next time, but watch the steep section at the end
Dude I love your vids man! your number one for this style on content for road biking! But man that audio though sounds like your talking through an old land line phone..
Do you hit the brakes on the turns (I think I could hear them near the 2 min mark)? last time I hit my brakes on a tight turn, my bike flew from under me ... was not a good day lol
It's one of my dreams to ride on roads like this. I am a beginner though. I wonder what kind of bike should i look for? Mostly i want to do this. Some trips and a lot of city driving.
Love your videos with mph / kph HUD, we need more of this
That HUD is awesome!

I was leaning with you on the turns while sitting at my desk! I like how you put the speed on the video. Good work Brian.
Can't wait, it's such a great way to switch off. Full screen it on your TV, turn up the volume and enjoy. Pure class.
5:08 ... the moment when hearts sink into boots
You are one damn road descent master.
🙏
LCKP Airsoft more like a monster...
I've seen hundreds of descent videos. But this one truly conveys what feels like dropping down all made of guts wheels and cables. Chapeau.
Thank you!
I'm going to buy a road bike because of you! :-P
Tell em I sent ya!
@@SAFABrian I will! :-)
What kind did u get?

The way you handle your bike on some of those corners is nuts..its great to watch!! Nicely done yet again!!
Brian deserves much more than 30k subs. Easily my favorite cyclist on TH-cam!
Thank you!

HOLY SH*T!!! Growing up in this area, Decker was always the most feared route from Westlake Villiage to Malibu. What a rush!!!
You're a lucky guy!
Brian, you have amazing balance man. Bravo!!!!
Over 70km/h on a narrow canyon road ? You are insane I absolutely love it
I tried to mimic your cornering skills yesterday and I broke both my arms
2nd try is the charm ;)
lilPidgey At this rate, I’m probably gonna die next time trying this
And you can type this with 2 broken arms 😂😂🤷
V. Bishop my arms aren’t really broken, I just can’t move them without pain.
Marcus Cheung well you should get it checked out

I'm scared!!!!! I'm wimpy!!
But ,YIKES!!!!!
Way,way, way to FAST FOR ME, LOL

Becareful, be safe!
The speedo shows how much behind we are 😅
Thanks for making videos of things I’m not brave enough to do myself 😅
My pleasure.
excellent, great speed
Mr:Decker the dynamite guy , blasted most of the canyon roads is buried in a blast hole somewhere in decker cyn ...
When he gets close to those guard rails 😱😱😱😱 and when he cut onto the highway he probably made the driver in that car piss his pants lol
6:45 I was like "80! 80! 80!"
Oh god I hate descends hahaha but watching your videos giving me hope, one day I can be that guy.
massive speed nice love to watch

Canyon/Road. I see how the confusion arises.

Enjoy the nostalgia. Sometimes getting audio outdoors on a human moving at 70km/h in their underwear is a challenge 😉
@@SAFABrian valid point! I guess no dead cat is really going to take care of that eh. Anyways. Killer content my man!

What software do you use for HUD overlay?
Virb edit
Just bought a Giant mountain bike , now I need a road bike lol 🚲 💨
At the bottom my hands were all sweaty...The speed is a nice addition, a HRM would be too.
Офигенно!! 79кмч это прям впечатляет!! Ты молодец!!
Where is this? Looks like a fun ride
You're a madman, Brian...and I love it.
So...no track bike on this descent?
Don't get any ideas!😅
Hehe, that'd ruin the fun on this descent. But I'll do one more for the track gang eventually.
SAFA Brian what is a “track bike”?
Nice road
О, индикация скорости, наконец-то! :)
Are you using neutral density filters on the GoPro? Such smooth motion blur :)
Riding down these hills you don't wanna save on your insurance :D
Ahh so this is how roadies have fun
How do you decide when you use the chest mount cam or the headgear cam.. ? Just instinct ? Or, the type of ride ?!
Chest for solo. Helmet for follow.
Nice
Do you hit the brakes on the turns (I think I could hear them near the 2 min mark)? last time I hit my brakes on a tight turn, my bike flew from under me ... was not a good day lol
Not at the 2 min mark but yes I do through corners sometimes.
I talk about it here a bit: th-cam.com/video/dnCKPA5O030/w-d-xo.html
What settings do you shoot in on the gopro? I'm sure tons of people would be curious to see what angle/ISO/shutter/frame rate you are using
Knocking out some serious wattage. What’s your average on the flat??
What tires do you use?
Max speed 49 miles, this is the faster i ever see you, I did 28.8 miles flat rode in a mountain bike, I need a rode bike
I get to 60 in another video on my channel 😬
I am wondering about Happy Camp Canyon Park Northeast of Moorpark
technical courses are more fun than going straight down
gotta be challenged a bit
This was so amazing! Are you planning to go to Bolivia to bomb Yungas Road after corona crisis?
Can't say it was top of my post plague list. I'll check it out on the maps!
SAFA which bike computer do you use?
Garmin 510. About time for an upgrade...
that asphalt look scary..
What a dangerous bike ride lol

It's one of my dreams to ride on roads like this. I am a beginner though. I wonder what kind of bike should i look for? Mostly i want to do this. Some trips and a lot of city driving.
Maybe a hybrid or a bike that can run wide tyres. Speak to a bike shop. They're the experts.
@@SAFABrian thank you.
What is the diameter & width of the rim & which brand tyres & tubes are fitted to your bicycle (front & rear).
3 people have never descended...
They have but they never enjoyed it 😂
What is the highest speed you've ever descended with?
Brazilian rules!!!! Show
Is this your full time gig? Or do you just find time outside of work to do this? I love your videos though!
This has turned into my full time gig since the pandemic. We'll see what happens, everything is very uncertain right now.
