- Albert Garih was not even two years old when his family escaped Paris amid gunfire during the German invasion. After returning to Nazi-occupied Paris, Albert’s father was later deported to a forced labor camp, and the rest of the family spent the war in hiding, sometimes in poor conditions and on the run.
Hear Holocaust survivor Albert’s experiences in his own words recorded on June 9, 2021. First Person is a monthly hour-long discussion featuring a live interview between journalist Bill Benson and a survivor and including questions from the audience, available on the Museum’s TH-cam channel.

I went to high school in Philadelphia with a fellow young Jewish girl who was from Paris and had survived the Holocaust. Sadly, rosy-cheeked Danielle died age 16 of leg cancer. Her mother had been so traumatised by the War, that she couldn't endure the necessary surgery for Danielle. I think of Danielle every time I visit Paris and We must never forget.

What is the one thing you feel is the most important that I can tell My daughter about the Holocaust to teach the younger generations to never forget?
Resist Socialism and government control of your freedoms. In the U.S. our founding fathers were wise of the dangers of what happens when governments take away basic freedoms (free speech, guns, money).

Just watched this but started late, so glad it is on TH-cam in order to see beginning and also share. Seeing the rise of anti-Semitism across the world is more frightening than early covid. I'm thankful the museum is doing these videos. Hope they encourage much prayer.

I am sure that Mr. Garih had nothing to do with what you are asking about. Discuss this with the Israeli authorities, I am sure they can better answer your question.

Thank you for your videos, and God is the same today, tomorrow, and forever. Treat everyone, how you want to be treated, and OBEY GOD's laws. Do not be GREEDY, DISHONEST,MEAN, or SELFISH. GOD is watching all of us, and we will reap what we have sown. Karma never loses an address.
Life is very expensive for ordinary people, but work hard from 7-70, and continue to work online to satisfy GREEDY and DISHONEST landlords and utilities etc.
Those of us who belong to the Lord Jesus Christ, knows the Lord Jesus Christ is Jewish . Yes it is awful what happened to the Black people and the Native Americans, but if he got away with this we would have all paid.

It must have been a painful odyssey to recollect such memories and to recount them; they only echo the evilness of Hitler and his followers.
The crimes and cruelties committed against my sons and daughters, my fathers and mothers, my brothers and sisters hurt me deeply, regardless their ethnicity and nationality.
In Isaiah 2: 4, Jehovah God, the Creator and Source of life, Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, promises:
"He will be judge among the nations and will settle matters in relation to many peoples. They will turn their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning shears. The nations will no longer raise their swords against each other and learn no more to wage war."
My immediate neighbors are Jews and I am a Jehovah's Witness.
Their hearts are superior than pure gold by far. They are extremely kind.
The gentleman takes care of my trash can every Wednesday without my asking him to do so. They are lovely human beings, and they are not in need of the smallest improvement.
He looks like his father
Does he have a wife and children
Did it make him a more loving person
...where was god?...any god?
If there isn't a god, there will never be justice.
