We really are the Twin Cities. As much as we make fun of each other, if anyone from outside of the metro bashes our neighbor, we vehemently tend to defend them. It's the sibling kind of attitude: no one makes fun of my sister but me, damnit!
we don't have twin cities in Canada, however, Banff and Canmore in 50 to 100 yrs. somebody is gonna bend the rules around parks Canada. Also Calgary and Strathmore in 50 yrs.
I've lived in both cities - I don't want to live in either anymore! St. Paul is a little cleaner and property taxes aren't quite as bad, the school system has slipped to about even with Mpls. While Mpls has the bigger U of MN campus, they also have the higher crime rate - but neither city is really safe enough to sit outside after dark anymore. Both have really slid since the 90s.

Minneapolis sucks. They have mosquitoes, cold weather, high property taxes, bad drivers, high taxes, etc.
