@VandalVortex well, there's no QCF+K move in the movelist, the HCF move is an armor breaker, the slash is an armor breaker, and the other armor breaker on the movelist is the hurricane kick, so yeah...
A few things off the top of my head that I recall from playing Oni when he first came out that seemed to get glossed over: U1 can be done in mid-air, and recovers crazy fast (compared to E.Ryu's fireball Ultra). That air dash is actually an attack, not strictly a dash, they all can hit. I like to refer to it as a bounce, but that's just me. Normal fireball can be charged to go full screen, and blue fireballs seemed a bit slow.
Really awesome video, some great notes on the normals, good find on the target combo and the anti-air fireball...Remember that you can full-animation combo U2 after the EX cross-up slash move, which is really nasty. Also, you can do his U1 in the air
@KurtGame hey man thanks for the video. At 1:20 where you did the lp bnb. Instead of me cancelling the target combo into an uppercut i cancelled the target combo into a fireball (like you did later in the video) then focus dash cancelled the fireball and repeated the Crouching lp, standing lp, into target combo then I did an uppercut and fadc into ultra 1 took full meter. I came up with this from you great video.
@KurtGame thanks, im started to believe oni is much more offensive than than i first thought, like he has a command kick that makes him move forward, the gouken palm slash move that moves him in a gd pressure position, a possible gouken parry for defense and offense, target combo pressure, charged fireball that might give frame advantage, he can most likely kara raging demon from his f,mp etc if i really think about it his zoning is half assed much like cody's

@86Raxor Ok sorry, a target combo works differently than other combos. You can press rapidly one button after the other. For example, close to your opponent, hold Back, then press Medium Punch then High Punch with almost no time between. ( Just a bit ). That is a target combo. What you were trying to do is a "Link" For example you can do Crouch Medium pucnh x2 with oni, but you will se it requires a strict timing. Because it's a "Link" Hope I'm clear enough ^_-
@ddazza7447 Hey, yes his B.MP does hit crouching opponents. The St.HP doesn't. I Was able to cancel the stomp, but it's pretty useless since it knocks the ennemi down. It's useless against Gouki's vortex, Goukis always breaks the wake-up stomp. ( Even EX ). For the option select. Its standard, Ryu-like. Against backdashers, you would use ( Tatsu, Shoryu, or U1,2 ). I noticed that the Light slash is most likely +1 or +0 on guard. It offers you many possiblilities. Feel free to ask any :)
This is Akuma in his absolute form or as I must say ascended form from his Shin self; most importantly no compromises where made and this is the true Akuma
@FoxLich Hey buddy, you can cancel it only on the second hit, and only when you connect. So if i am not mistaken, should your SRK miss you won't be able to cancel it. It must be on target, and must be on the second hit/contact before you can cancel.
@NegaArson Hello, he can do Cr.Mp x2 > Cr.HK, just like Ryu. He has 3 electric balls, which make character such as Guile preatty easy to handle. If you like zonning and you're good at it, Oni in your hand will be a pain in the ass, trust me. :p
@KurtGame i think that's why his normal fireball doesn't travel full screen and i think Oni main strength is mobility, not his zoning. This is notable with him having air dash and can use Super & Ultra 1 in air.
@FalconBoxe His stamina is better than regular gouki's I believe. I play a pretty gimicky Oni, (Air dash tatsus everywhere, jump in to DP+KK, LK slash blocked to demon lol) but he's not a bad character overall, so I wouldn't be surprised to see more people pick him up when AE is released on console.
@Solider7 I main Yang in SSF4 : AE, I have been playing him for a month now. He is really strong, but he has low health and low stun. But this is not a problem. Oni main weakness is : He has no reversal because you can't cancel his Shoryu on guard ( At least I could not cancel it after several attempts.) Oni in right hands is the PERFECT zoner, better than Guile imo. You really have to play Oni to see how powerful his normals are. :p
Practice makes perfect. Be sure, those guys practice thousands of hours. Links ARE difficult and doing them is never easy, you can only do them by getting better and that takes years.
@KurtGame I think that what amongallothers called a "super fireball" is that Oni's airdash stuff since it basically shoot up a fireball just in front of him while doing it.
@RuLeZ1988 Better zoning indeed, he has no demon flip, so, consider his attack more like Ryu ( his crouch Mp can combo 2hit, it's fast as well. ) he has shakunetsu ( HCB.P ) 3 electric balls, you can charge his fireballs too. Definitly a powerful zoner. but strong when you can crush the opponen's guard!
@kingyankee23 You're thinking of Evil Ryu. Oni has always been amazing. E. Ryu on the other hand, is just a mashup of Akuma and Ryu, and isn't as good as Akuma. Sits around clutching his chest for like an hour after throwing out fireballs.

@ShadowXSnake for me E.Ryu seems great as well.. got its a mixture of Akuma and Ryu.. the most balance shotos IMO.. got Ryu good antiair game and zoning as well as Akuma pressure damage and not so much mix-ups lol.. but combos are in there

@YungCrow1 I dunno- I'm beating akumas/ryus with him, and in SSF4 these guys sat around 3600+ PP and I was at 3200-3500PP. I mained Akuma though, eventually, so maybe that helped? Evil Ryu 'sucks' about as much as Ken/Ryu...so I wouldn't say he sucks at all...unless you are comparing him to the twins (which are BS imba).
@KurtGame well without being able to move from the point which i described, it doesent matter how much new stuff you learn because that is the basics :) You need the basics to advance. I still cant make it to work, ITs to slow to make a high punch for me right after a medium punch. Do i need to cordinate myself too? like press forward and backward during the punches?
Could you do a video explaining how to counter an e-honda that just uses headbuts/slams using that air move - ive tried to beat them blanka but they just out damage him
@KurtGame yh i realised after a few hrs that it couldnt be true because theres only 3 kick specials on the move list, i think its because other vids have sed qcf was the slash move so i had already concluded that was it but then i saw hcf motion and was like wtf without realising there wasnt a qcf motion on the list lool

After watching this I feel it's weird everyone says they just reused old material...of course i see that they did that with some animations .... but gameplay-wise oni is just a step approaching a new level with the gameplay and if only because of his air dashes!!!

this is probably a dumb question with an obvious answer, but what does the B in the target combo stand for? i think it was notated, b.mp -> "standing hp"
@KurtGame So Oni is definitely a zone char and not a rushdown char ? Can you compare his meaning of gameplay with gouken, since Gouken is a zone char aswell ?
Which ultra is the better one at this point though? U1 seems like it might be the most useful, considering it's a projectile which doubles as an anti crossup tool when needed. However, I'm assuming U2 does more damage. Is that correct? Also, U2 seems to work well to punish a jump in, unlike U1 that would most likely require an SRK fadc U1 for a safe punish. Could you guys comment on this?
I was sooooooo disappointed when I discovered that the back air dash is NOT tatsu cancelable. At first, I found out the forward/up air dash are and though "Oh yeahhhh a melty blood like okizeme sould be possible using the back version". Then after triying it "c'mon men...-_-"

There is something wrong here, it looks like you can do HP right after a MP in your combos? for example, you jump land with HP and then MP? right after that it looks like u do a crouch HP ( look like uppercut) and then the 3 hit uppercut. this part doesent work for me. there for, i cant do these insane combos.

If they do add Gill i want a new story line. But to be honet i would like another version of Ken or Gouken to balance Evil Ryu and Oni Akuma.

his air ultra 1 is kinda hard to hit unless you can tell what they are going to do but his ultra can hit from many many combos even if you cantt fadc
