I'm 72 years old and I am still amazed at the miracle of new life. To take two seeds, put them in dirt and one sprouts into life and the other doesn't. God brings that life into that plant. I for one, believe God flows through all his creation. A garden without God is impossible.

I was harvesting potatoes today and couldn’t help think what a miracle it is. I don’t know how you garden without appreciating God’s creation.
Did God bring death to the other plant? Logically if the growth of every plant is controlled by an omnipotent being via an act of will, he must have made the choice for the other one to die. Alternatively, one could blame the other one on Satan, but that simply reverses the situation. If Satan made one die, does he not also deserve credit for letting the other live? I have little doubt you will praise God if you buy a packet of seeds and every one comes up. If instead every last seed dies will you also hold God to account for that? Will you choose a different seed vendor next time? Why, if God makes the choice? This seed claim you make says far more about the nature of faith than you may imagine.

I completely agree! I love to hear Danny talk about God, he brings it in a completly different way. I love how he teaches and preaches, Ive come to crave it! I love the direction both he and Wanda are moving deep south! Wandas church supper a little bit back was awesome!
I am just seeing this however WE MUST INCLUDE GOD IN EVERYTHING. God is in every fiber of our being! Many people have left God out. It is a shame and it is their loss.

Here in Boise Idaho we are at almost 2900 feet. For every 1000 feet in elevation the ultraviolet rays from the sun are 8 to 10% more intense UV rays than at sea level.
That explains why I can’t go out there for more than a couple of minutes without my heart and blood pressure acting up when it’s this hot. I’m almost 80. I need to move a lot of pots into the shade and cover some other things like I did last summer. But it’s happening so early this summer. Actually it’s barely summer.
I pray a lot that God will get me through what he is permitting for his purposes. It rains on the just and the unjust.
I watch a lot of gardening channels a everyone basically go through the same problems as gardeners . Why I love your channel is the fact that you talk about God an life lessons . Please keep doing what you have been doing .

I’m 70 years old and disabled and have been through a lot of terrible things in my life but I know God brought me through it!!! My youngest grandson died in my arms!! God gave him back to us!!! He was born and put on life support and by the time he was three years old he had been Med flighted three times to the hospital now he was five when he died in my arms I went to praying in tongues I received the Holy Ghost in my younger years and was saved and baptized in water and believe me throughout my life he has been there and he will save us he will bless you he will multiply whatever you grow but he’s first he is first! He spoke the word and it was so Amen 🙏
We would appreciate it deeply if anyone could pray for us our 12 year old daughter Candice living with chronic congestive heart failure passed away may 30 peacefully in her sleep she is with the Lord we are all devastated we desperately need your prayers please pray for peace and comfort with God's love conquers all amen we lost our first daughter Angel at 15 years old in 2018 peacefully in her sleep she had Ms this is very tough we are grateful to God for two wonderful daughters and we will be altogether again praying for everyone everyday God bless you all
Just remember that grief is a process and there is no right way or wrong way to do it. Experience each part of it and deal with it as you can. Keep in mind that this to shall pass and you will find joy and happiness again.

God created the seeds along with everything else so God is always in gardening. Spiritually speaking, we can plant a seed in an unbeliever, sprinkle some water (encouragement and prayer) BUT only God can make that seed of faith sprout. Keep doing what you are doing Danny. I am so happy that I ran across your channel three years ago. Your videos opened my eyes and pointed me towards the journey that I am on today.
When I couldn’t shake the feeling that something was coming and I searched for “growing gardens in the south” and y’all’s channel came up….it was when I created a TH-cam account and the first channel to which I subscribed.
I may not always agree with what you say but I still listen and learn from everything you post.
My family has begun watching with me. Conversations about the Lord are happening in my home where they never happened before. It’s a start for us that has made a difference already.
I was walking on my property yesterday with a neighbor who has heavy equipment. Looking at clearing some acreage for the cows.
There were three of us walking. My neighbor had a guy with him who was a few steps behind. Suddenly, the guy behind jumped and kinda yelled.
My neighbor and I had just walked right by a big rattle snake. We had both stepped right next to him and he was just sitting coiled up. Not rattling just hanging out.
Both footprints were within six inches and a foot and half from that snake and yet neither of us got bitten.
No one can tell me there is no God when things like that seem to happen all the time.

Amen, Danny! “Getting rid of God” is what got our country into this mess that it’s in today. All of the negative things were seeing, from droughts to economic hardships to political and international conflicts are Biblical. God is trying to get the attention of those who have turned their backs on them. Anyone who has read the Old Testament stories understands this. Woe to the inhabitants of this earth! Christ’s return is imminent, and we are in the beginning of sorrows. But those who remain faithful to the end will be saved. Period.
As I grew up and saw there were 2 segments in this nation: christian, and secular, I believed that it was normal and right. I thought, this is the way it's supposed to be. Wrong!!! And downhill went our nation!

The Roman Empire fell to pieces after Christianity was made the official religion. Excellent time to listen to you while I’m raking out Bermuda roots for a fall garden. I’m not thankful for this awful, invasive grass, but I am SO thankful for the space to garden, the neighbor who tilled it for us, the physical strength to do this work, and the sweet potato slips (that you taught me how to grow) to plant here where this Bermuda was/is in time for a late harvest. Thank you Danny for giving God glory in all and reminding us to do the same.
Actually in AZ the only thing that protected my little seedlings against our toxic sun was this horrid berm. grass. I just went and pulled it out since they have grown up now. I can see now what God did with that quick cover. 🤔 I just need to replicate it with something I want. More zinnias!!! Lol.

Wow - that was excellent! Growing a garden is a deeply spiritual experience to me. I can't imagine leaving God out of the conversation. It would be like making a video on going to the beach, but not mentioning the ocean.

When I was going to school we had the Pledge of Allegiance every morning. A student was picked to read a Bible verse every morning which the students felt it was an honor to be picked. The student was picked ahead of time and they were allowed to pick their own verse to read. This did not happen at a little country school but at large schools in Metro Atlanta. I feel so blessed that this happened because I think it had a huge impact on the students at our school. This was the only way that some students would ever hear God's Word. In my opinion taking God out of things has lead to where we are now with the lack of morality, not knowing right vs wrong and the anger that so many people seem to have these days. People seem to be searching for something and are empty inside. I thank you for giving credit where credit belongs.

Reminds me of a song from "Godspell" we sang in Jr High Choir. (Yep, could still mention God in school back then) "We plow the fields & scatter the good seed on the land, but it is fed and watered by God's Almighty hand". Still amazes me what grows from tiny seeds. God Bless!

Whenever i think of God, i think of how He made Adam from the dirt, Eve from a rib, raised Lazarus, dead and smelly after four days, from the dead and made him new again and i am in awe that i am able to be alive, have a family and grow a garden. I thank Him ever day for my food, my family and my little furry friends.

After I planted my small garden I prayed that God would make it grow food. We have to have God or we have nothing.
Watching from Alabama. We got a touch of rain yesterday. We were blessed to buy our neighbor’s 2 acres and home a few weeks ago. He passed within the last year and he was a hoarder. Pray that we can safely clean the house.

I do think you have a lot of wisdom sir. I grew up in a pentecostal church and experienced an awful childhood. I left church around 30 yrs ago and have no desire to go back. But the Bible and God is near to my heart. The seed was planted in my youth and when I started reading the Bible again in my 40s I can only explain it as heaven coming down. For days I felt the closeness of the Holy Spirit and my heart was bursting with love for everyone. It was euphoria with no explanation for HOW. It didn't happen in church, or from anyone witnessing to me. It happened in my home, with just me and my Bible. That's how I know God is real and how much he loves us. All my years in church I didn't feel this. I believe people can spend their whole life in church and not feel God's love and not know He is real. It's why people need rousing sermons and emotional music, it carries them Sunday to the next Sunday. I think they mistaken that as feeling the spirit. I think it is much more personal, one-on-one. And I think all one needs to do is sincerely seek God to experience God. I really appreciate your message on being thankful.
my experience, too, but in my car reading my Bible while waiting for my daughter. I have had the feeling in church before, as well & not because of the music/sermon. Just a feeling coming over me or what the priest was saying was like a jolt of electricity because it was something I was ruminating on privately & it all matched up at the precise moment.
@@pattyhansen7563 I won't argue with you that that wasn't the holy spirit you felt in church. It probably was. I am just saying the spirit is all around us. And we should invite it and recognize it outside of church walls too. On my way to my father's funeral my husband turned on the radio, which I thought was incredibly insensitive, and I went to turn it off but that very second Lenny Kravitz was belting out "I want to get away" and the line he was singing was about flying through the milky way. Immediately I felt like my father was seeing all the mysteries and beauties of the universe. And how amazing to feel free from his cancer and just all the shackles of life, and in the presence of our creator. It was those lyrics of all things, that gave me peace. And I believe my husband's timing was no coincidence.

I think folks don't leave themselves receptive to it. I am sorry about your dad passing away, but glad you got a message. I do not believe in coincidence. Everything you talked about today I absolutely loved I'm 83 and have attended several churches and the one I attend now I feel I have learned more these last about 7 yrs . . I've been a widow for 23 years love our Almighty Yehovah, Yeshua and holy spirit. I've been greatly blessed .

Just wanted to say thank you, I needed this today. I am from Tennessee and I met and fell in love with a Scottish man. After 4 years of him traveling to see me 4 times a year we got married and looked at every way possible to get him to Tennessee with me and had no luck through legal channels after years with no luck we decided to apply for me to move to the UK (two years ago) and I've been here since 2019. I struggle daily as I feel (from my experience) that I am in a godless country with the rudest people I've ever encountered (just telling a cashier to have a great day when leaving the store has gotten me cussed out and told to go home because we Americans think we are entitled to everything.... that's just telling someone to have a great day :-/ ). My husband and I continue to look at a legal way for us to move to go back to my home (I love my husband but I miss my family and the kindness and godliness of my statesmen) but the fail continues. I would appreciate any and all prayers for us and everyone in the world. God bless all and have a wonderful day :-)

@@SR-iy4gg for me it's rude. There's never any polite "hello" even when walking into a store. You think of your cashiers at stores and here they don't even talk to you or thank you for shopping, wishing you a good day or anything that is normal (to me). I've gotten to where I don't speak when I'm out because most are quick to tell you how much they hate Americans and have been called lots of colorful names. I've never heard so much cussing and filth in my life and that includes from movies. There is no stand to the side in the store to let others pass and they will get right up in your face to grab what they need without a car in the world for politeness... no one says "excuse me, please, thank you, ma'am or sir" and when I do it I get strange looks. During covid lock down I asked a gentleman a question about sending a package to my mom and before finishing I was told to "leave my shop, you Americans have brought the virus here and I don't want you in here". I have never been so embarrassed and humiliated in my life! And that's just one of many over the last two years. I went to school for law and criminal justice and can't find a job here because I'm not qualified for anything. Took me a year to get a bank account because they said I have no history. No one will speak to you about anything but all will judge and cuss you for just telling them to have a good day (my experience so far). So yes to me rude, some may call it something different. I know I've been told the south is a bubble that's different from the rest of the world so from my bubble to this it's difficult to say the least. Sorry this is lengthy, tried to answer. You can't have a garden without God! It's HIS garden, HIS world and we are HIS people, why would we ever want to leave God out of our gardens or our lives. Hello from Kentucky, brother! I yearn for porch time and the joy I receive from it in my heart. Our tiny church has been without a preacher for quite a while now, however, our deacon has been able to draw preachers every Sunday since. It seems no matter what man is behind the pulpit, God and the Holy Ghost have always showed up and allowed our service to be blessed. We haven’t had Sunday or Wednesday night service in so long I don’t remember. I know it’s my own responsibility, but since we’re down to one service a week, I feel like I’m struggling spiritually. These times on the porch have been stepping stones that I know will lead me back to studying God’s Word. Faith and the comforter have brought me through but I know there’s more I should be doing for my Jesus. I’m so grateful for His plan of salvation! Praise the Lord! Thank you, brother.
It is amazing how some folks enjoy hearing about the creation and living things as long as you don’t mention the author and creator of it all.
Without God, we are nothing and can do nothing!!!!!!🔥🔥🔥. I need Him in every area of my life!
Also when the UV is really high and u water during the day, it reflects and cooks the plants. Hence watering in early morning or late evening is the way to go for now. Thanks for the morning update Danny!

Can’t leave God out. I pray over what I should plant. Where I should plant it and the harvest. So, I can keep gardening but by no means am I ever going to leave God out of anything!!

Good morning Mr Danny 😊 thank you for this porch time today I look forward to this time each time you do a porch time video you talk and tell the truth when you quote scriptures I do my homework and look it up and read it I may read it 2 or 3 times but I always ask God to help me understand it to my best ability and I then start understanding it I have started reading the Bible each morning but before I start I always ask God's guidance and his spirit to be with me while I read it and I thank him each and every time like you say if it wasn't for God we wouldn't be here today he is our creator I thank you for taking time to talk to us I pray each day for you and Ms Wanda and all others that you may get the must needed rain and that you staysafe thank and God bless
