They had us in the first half, I’m not gonna lie.
a meme was born
They thought they had us in the first
Bruh, I was having a small crisis of faith. WHO DAT for life, but really. Not gonna lie.
@12:37 Reggie Bush leaped 18 feet through the air to score a TD 💯😳
You're not wrong, that leap was at least 17 feet. Amazing.
more like 15 but close enough
Yea a good 17-18ft that’s crazy
I was at this game, I still tell the story of actually seeing a man fly. It was unreal.
@FordFalcon1962nBlue more clost to 18 than 15...6 yards is 18 feet an was barely in front of 6 and landed on end of endzone line
16:20 Tracy Porter getting a pick 6 in Miami lol.
That would happen again in this very stadium in a SLIGHTLY bigger game.
I thought he was like 5-10 5-11
@@azwoopr2772 I never thought much about height.
Matthew Daley I replied on the wrong comment because I’m a dumbass I meant to reply to the drew Brees comment about him dunking
@@azwoopr2772 Spud Webb was even shorter, and, he dunked, it's all about having strong calf muscles.
That Tracy Porter pic 6 was a sign of things to come and we all had no idea at the time. talk about foreshadowing.
In the title game and the Superbowl. Against SLIGHTLY better QBs
Did you see the number of likes on this comment?!
I remember watching this game when I was 13 (my parents were Dolphins fans). Wasn't nearly as much of a football fanatic as I am today, but even then I knew this Saints team was special. Pretty sure my Dad almost broke the TV that day tho.
@@joshuafaulks7230 LOL
@@zacharybaudean1506 The Superbowl also took place in this very stadium.
That reggie leap though.... iconic
New Orleans went from down 21 to outscoring Miami 43-10 the rest of the way and winning by 12. That's what I call a hit and run, man. Someone call CSI Miami.
Funny you mention that…considering The Who played in that Halftime Show IN Miami where the Saints beat the Colts.
Brees dunking the ball tho. He has always been deceptively athletic....
Dude could’ve gone Pro in at least 3 sports. He beat Roger Federer in tennis in High School.
@AJ,
Jerry West is only 6'-3".
@@PurpleObscuration Yes Sir!
Ted Ginn with the dolphins then ten years later he's a Saint
He still fast for nothing he can't catch shit
And didnt ted gin also play for the 49ers in the 9ers Baltimore superbowl. The dude has been all over the place
@@polarbear7713 49ers miami and cardinals Carolina

Sports Fans: *Defense Wins Championships*
Drew Brees: *chuckles*
Nick Foles says, you don't need good defense, just any defense at all.
They were one of the top teams in turnover differential in 2009 and they won Super Bowl 44 because of a pick 6.
@@Phinal_Flash Very fitting.
Facts lol
Saints defense had 2 pick 6s this game
Ricky Williams is a real one. He retired from the NFL to smoke weed 😂😂😂😂😂
That's not real. That's just pure fucking stupidity.
@@brandonsavitski You live your life, let him live his. He did what he wanted to do. He was electric at times though.
Goat
Lmaooo
Sort of. Really he retired because he was worn down and over run by Wannstedt and his idiotic run first offense with a slack oline. The weed thing just pissed him off and was the last straw. FUCK THE NFL's bullshit policy that makes no damn sense
The Dolphins had no business losing this game, then again we`re the Dolphins so I`m not surprised
You know it hurts my heart on how right you are. And it hurts even more to know that after 10 years there still like that😂😂
German Santos Boss, I 100% agree with you. Idk whether you’re a fan or not I watch every single game regardless of blowouts. I treat preseason games like the regular season😭 so at the end of the Day they’re Still my team
Y'all had no business passing on DREW Brees in 06 and in this video y'all see him in a Saints uniform and won this game and the Superbowl months later in that stadium.
It’s always fun watching the Dolphins at home. It’s always the craziest shit ever when they win.
They were robbed. The Saints touchdown before the half and the first pick six should not have counted.
When they scored that TD before half you knew it was over
Nas Holston yup, no idea why Miami called a TO before the end of the half
The league would be very different if the Dolphins signed Brees in 2006
Probably but I dont think Brees would of had the same career success without an offensive minded coach like Peyton. He still would of gave the dolphins a lot more W's but not as much without a run and gun offense
Bears and Dolphins Super Bowl
or the cowboys
Mr X Ewww
I can tell you this particular game would have been different.
This is my favorite Saints game. After this we all knew the team had a shot at going to the Super Bowl. We weren't prepared for the rest. Who Dat Nation.
This was the game when I felt like the Saints were a team destined to win it all. This was a crazy comeback
That pick-six by Porter was a foreshadowing of things to come four months later in that same stadium, SunLife Stadium.
3:50 is that THE Darren Sharper AKA the hardest hittin safety in da league?
Nah he didn’t hit harder than Bdawk
@@JuwanAnderson58 it's a reference
Lmao I’m glad someone remembers this in 2019
He did get a pick 6 in this game too
Nah fam that's Daaan Shaapa
Darren Sharper shifted the momentum in this game and the jets game in 09 with pick 6s
What a shame, one of my favorite players growing up. Too bad his life went down hill after he retired
Matthew Daley yeah, but he was a beast back when he was in the nfl and not a rapist, so we’re not focusing on that.
@@wyattbdv I wish I could.
@@wyattbdv well that depends were the allegations from when he was still playing but only came to light after the fact or not?
Light Yagami I’m pretty sure none of the rape stuff happened until a few years after he retired, pretty sure his last season was 2010 but I could be wrong
So nice to see Ricky Williams and Reggie Bush in the same game!
Games like this are part of why I don't understand the arm talent argument people use against guys like Tom Brady. How many "impressive throws" did Brees make in this game? A couple?
Impressive throws aren't what make QBs good in this league. The ability to lead drives, minimize mistakes, and make plays when it matters are what matters. That's why guys like Brees and Brady are in the GOAT discussion.
What you said about Qb play is very accurate, but Drew Brees *is NOT in that discussion!*
@@heavyizthacrown-5842 what he said is accurate and that is actually the term they always use with Brees, he is definitely in that discussion but I am sure you will bring up how many rings he has lol
If you can consistently put up his numbers and have a great deal of winning seasons and a Super Bowl ring...your in the discussion. He is up there and I’m not a saints fan but I did like brees.
@@heavyizthacrown-5842 Why? Because his defense consistently let him down?
Hey I suggested this a coupes months ago!!! Awesome!!!
It was a great suggestion! Did it live up to your expectations?
NFL Throwback it sure did! Thanks for the great upload yet again!
@@wyattbdv A preview of things to come that season.
Matthew Daley exactly. This was the game where The Who Dat Nation knew that we were something extremely special. Hopefully we can repeat this year!
@@wyattbdv They'd better, I don't think they likely start to lose pieces after this season if they don't.
who else is binge watching these?
The legendary Fleur de Leap
As dolphins fan what a game even if we didn't win we gave it to the super bowl champion saints in 2009 a fight
Not to be a dick but your team should be ashamed for pissing that game away
@@elijahechicagobearsboyd5734 the past is past you can't do nothing about it
Yall and Washington gave us (saints) a scare
true. i was in attendence, and I had all but conceeded the game to all of the Dolphins fans around me. strangely enough, as soon as I accepted my "fate", the Saints turned it around and then it got awfully quiet there in Landshark Stadium (at the time).
In honor of Andrew Luck, can you please do the colts vs chiefs playoff game of 2013
I was thinking about that game right now!
Please, NFL Throwback, do it!
Never knew ted gin was in that Miami team now he in the saints who dat 🙌🏼⚜️
Igetchafresh 7 he was drafted in the 1st round in ‘07 by the Dolphins actually.
Thank god you guys have him he dropped more passes for us than he had TD’s in his career
Igetchafresh 7 yeah they had a chance to select Notre Dame quarterback Brady Quinn in the 2007 draft which seemed like it was gonna be an obvious pick at the time but then Dolphins coach Cam Cameron was too much of a dumbass to pass on him & select Ginn instead
he was on the panthers too - im not sure how hes still on the saints lol
@@Viper8828 Simply put, he's never had a hall of fame QB throwing it his way (;
Brees is 6 feet tall. How did he dunk that?!?!
Strong calf muscles.
I'm 5'11 I can dunk a 10 foot goal because I have a strong fast twitch
Because he’s a professional athlete.
Hes 5 foot 11
Look how ripped he is
16:21 Crazy foreshadowing of Porter would do in the Super Bowl taking place in the same stadium later that post season.
A lot of _elite_ CFB players in this game! Ricky Williams, Ronnie Brown, Ted Ginn Jr, & Reggie Bush to name a few.
Y’all don’t understand how long I’ve been looking for 13:55
Funny that Ricky Williams/Reggie Bush/Ted Ginn all played for both teams in their NFL career.
oh, yeah no shit. that's crasee
I mean, it's like many Vikings coming to the Saints recently, Parcells' kids like the same toys.
@@0Clewi0 ? besides Latavius Murray, who else did we get that's from the VIkings?
@@Reese2279 you mean besides Teddy-only-reason-the-Vikings-don't-hate-us-100%?
@@0Clewi0 oh yeah Teddy, my bad
7:35 Drew Brees tells Sean “you gotta lemme do this”
16:20 if that happens in this season 2019-2020 we know a ref would have blew the whistle and kill the pick 6 against the Saints
Still such a great game 10 years later
Saints' second biggest win in this stadium that season ;)
Only because they cheated in the championship game 🤢
@@trippingkanga134 Not their fault Brett Favre literally threw victory away.
@@climaxtv5488 Additionally, Adrian Peterson fumbled FIVE times, losing THREE, All-Day-Fumbler.
CRY!!
Howard professional beyblader Vikings fumbled 5 times in saints territory. They deserved the L
Lesson learned never celebrate too early or you end up looking like a fool ...
It should be called a perfect comeback
The game that have the saints confidence to overcome anything
so the Saints two games in Miami slow start in the 1st half and its clinched with a Tracy Porter pick 6 late in the 4th
As a saints fan since the 80s i knew after this game we was going to the SB that year i even call that redskins come back as well
Nice to see Chad Henne as the starting QB he went to my high school! (Wilson)
Keep dishing out them classics ❤️
Back when the dolphins were called the wild cats they made the formation into a whole playbook
If the Dolphins had a real quarterback. They could’ve done something with this team. Secondly Reggie’s leap into the in zone shows how much of an athlete he was. Lastly this receiving core from the Saints was underrated
Were we though? Colston? Henderson? Shockey? I mean, maybe…but the other teams knew.
Genius move taking a time out so brees can convince peyton to go for it with five seconds left in the half
One of my all time favorite games as a Saints fan!
Can y'all upload TO's 4 TD game Cowboys vs Redskins
No no no need to do that! Lol
Raymond Smith omegalaul
I didnt remember this game but for some reason i knew it would end with a Henne interception
Reggie Bush's athletic ability was superhuman.
Miami’s offense was so different. They utilized everyone.
The Reggie bush dive is one of my earliest NFL memories
Ricky Williams n Reggie Bush 2 San Diego legends
Darren sharper had his best season and being a packers fan i seen him have some great years and seems like he made so many clutch headie big plays that season , after his career dont make sense to me though...
This was the year to watch my saints i knew after every game we were going to the Super Bowl that season
This was the game that we knew....it was our year.
I don't need to watch the video you know that the Saints have won this game because in that year they haven't lost the game since week 15
10:13 Why did the official point so enthusiastically tho? He was like YEAH FIRST DOWN FINS
This game happened when I was in 7th grade.
I remember watching highlights of Ricky Williams all day on Monday.
Yo the thumbnail is great! Two of the greatest college running backs of all time!
I was there! One of the best away games I have ever been to a Saints fan, if not the best.
I remember this game in '09. It was a great test to see if my Saints had what it took to face adversity & overcome it. It was a great early test for them that helped fuel them (this & the Redskins game) to the Superbowl later in Miami. I'm always a little conflicted whenever the Saints play the Dolphins since I like them as well due to Marino. I hate he never was able to get back to the "Big Dance" & win one. Who Dat but much love to the Dolphins & their diehard fans!
You should do the Monday night game saints vs falcons 2011
I was 14 and watched every single game that season man
That first half for the Dolphins 🔥🔥
I was there. Phenomenal game!
this video makes me happy
When the Saints scored before halftime I knew they would win. What happened afterwards still blows my mind.
The legendary Chad Henne was at it even back then
Best NFL team in the decade! Miss the Superbowl Saints!
This game has to the best of clutch performances from Drew Brees.
THE TRUTH!!!
Nope. My guy was a B- this game.. the TEAM carried him. He did start the fire though at the end of the 2nd with his TD. Very ballsy
@@shadyshady2463 Nope, this was definitely not only a historic "a" game by Brees, but a team effort and no one carried anyone .
He also not only managed to help bring his team out of a 20 point deficit, but also managed to drop 46 burgers on Miami's defense after having just 3 points on the scoreboard.
Those are the reasons why i say this was his best "clutch" performance.
There were no other games where the Saints were blown out and Brees were able to come back to outscore a opponent and win big.
@@saint5578 you're not gonna find a bigger brees fan than me. He's the GOAT but this was not near his clutches game. He's had at least 3 or 4 in the last couple seasons more clutch than this. Case and point his game vs Redskins in 2017 down 2 touchdowns with 5 mins left
Both of their playbooks were so lit that year
I saw this game on tv when I was 8 and decided to become a Saints fan because of it
People disrespect Dick Stockton a lot these days on social media, but man oh man that guy is a legend and has always been really good.
I remember me and brothers want too this game there was so many saints fans it was crazy
2022 WILL BE THE YEAR FOR THE SAINTS I HAVE A FEELING
Let's not forget how long ago this was. Ted Ginn Jr. was playing for the Dolphins and Drew Brees had long hair, lol! The Miracle in Miami before the Miracle in Miami!!! ⚜⚜⚜⚜⚜⚜⚜⚜⚜⚜⚜⚜⚜⚜⚜⚜
Soprano calling a timeout kills the game for the Fins ,big TD score right before halftime. I remember this game
I remember having to work and not being able to watch this game. At break I was texting my brother and he was like I guess we are gonna lose this 1. It was 24-3 just before half. Then to come home and turn on Sport Center... I couldnt believe it. I've watched the highlights of this game more than the Super Bowl.
One of the greatest games I have ever had the pleasure of attending.
I miss these days
I remember going too this game me and some friends there was so many saints fans but it was so damn hot but we had so much fun
The interception by Nate Jones at 9:07 is one of the rarest ive ever seen should definitely be in the top 100 INTs
Hard to be believe this was 10 years ago. Tv still looks how it do today
Great game! 👏🏾👏🏾
Those 2007-2008 Miami Cheerleaders were something else
DAMN, CAMERON WAKE HAS BEEN PLAYING FOEVER!!!!!
4:48 “play action febreeze”
I remember being at this game and all the trash talk Dolphins were giving me, by the end of the game they suddenly had nothing to say and refuse to even look my way hahahaha! This game is full proof it is never over until the clock is finished.
The Dolphins 90’s-00’s uniforms were lit.
I remember how mad I was at my saints in the first half. Lol the stress man
I remember that game ...I cried 🐬 4 Life 😭
Amazing game.
Ill never forget this afternoon! My uncle is a huge Saints fan an i remember him in his room screaming run boy run 🏃♂️ and my other uncle who hated the saints drove to our house and i remember it was like 3rd quarter he didn't even knock he just walked in and said they muthafuckas going down today. And my uncle the saint's fan yelled back check the score 🤣. Ill never forget that day because my uncle jerome is a huge saint's fan
WILDCAT!!!!
Legendary
i didn't know Ted Ginn Jr. was on the Dolphin's team that year.
Saints were the hottest team. Dolphins had 'em on the ropes for a minute. A very memorable game👍
The refs robbed them in this game.
NFL Throwback, can you post the Broncos vs Colts game from 2013 between Luck & Manning. A Good one
Brown and Williams mannnn love what we had
