My friends and I are delighted. For a real hard or extreme enduro, a lower seat is more than welcome. Anyone who wants a bigger motorbike still has the choice of the Racing version. Considering that 95% of the buyers of these bikes are not able to make full use of these bikes, I think this is a step in the right direction - adapting the bikes for the users.
I agree. Beta seems to be the only one making a bike for how people actually ride and not how people wish they could ride. Most people are weekend warriors and can’t do hard enduro. They just bomb around the trails. Also Not everyone is 6’2” and wants a 38” seat height. 38” is even too tall for some 6’2 non racer/pros never mind us that are under 6’.
I think the thing that everyone is missing here is the frame change. This is huge. Obviously, they adopted the frame from the Race and RX bikes for easier production and manufacturing costs. This may have added weight? So they tried to combat that weight penalty with a lighter single-sided spring fork? Fork is too soft? Depends on the rider, riding style, and rider weight right? You can bet a Lucky cartridge (and others) will be available and then buy the appropriate spring rate. Almost everyone has their stock SACHS stuff tuned anyway. So what's the difference? 20mm lower seat height? Yeah, seems like it's a beefy XTrainer now. But not the one people wanted, so it's bad!?! If you don't like being able to touch the ground better in the tech, buy a tall seat. At least they finally addressed the hard seat foam issue. Maybe there there a different XTrainer in the works? One that the people are asking for? No Ererzberg style edition? I'm pretty sure if you BYOB a 300RR Race with all the parts to make an Erzberg edition it would be cheaper than the KTM Erzberg. I don't think it's possible to make one bike that will please everybody.
To me it looks like this is a good move by Beta, getting closer to the type of explorative slow-speed offroading that I like. With the new lineup I may finally consider an RR. And to those who complain about the lower seat, well I may in fact want to lower it further by fitting and aftermarket rear shock link.
Absolutely stocked with this new model. Currently race gold on a beta 300 re in aus and Finally feel as though a manufacturer listening to hard enduro riders who make up the majority of sales in our area.
As ZF Suspention can never be fixed. You just buy the Race Edition and sort the KYB forks so they work for hard/medium/soft/trail/enduro (open up the mid valve and disable the base valve) and you have a great bike. Note to Beta R&D We want 310mm travel in Race Edition KYB suspension not 285mm. We want an optional complete seat in tall (15mm) and super tall (30mm) with hard foam so you don't sink into it for $250. We want steal KTM foot pegs on the Race Edition std height -10mm and -20mm options. We want dual fans on the 4T with a relay and fuse. We want an idle adjustment screw and the ECU servo controlled idle junked. We want the Motorcross muffler supplied with the Race Edition bikes. We want the 4T's to get on a diet and loose 10kg. Regards James
It’s actually a brilliant idea. Making a HE specific dirt bike is simply paying attention to the market. The RR will still come in the race edition trim which is the best option for their off road offering anyway. If you think the RE suspension is too stiff re-valve it like most of us have had to do to every dirt bike we’ve purchased. I think Beta is making smart moves and the X-Pro fits the largest growing niche in the market. And it looks cool. I have a 24 300RX and would consider buying the X-Pro for hard enduro where I wouldn’t have considered the RR before because it seems like too close of an overlap.
I believe this is a step in the right direction. I have a 2024 X-Trainer, for the seat high and size, but it is missing the power of my YZ405FX which the RR would have had. I am going to end up putting parts on this to move the engine to a RR, and stiffening up the forks for hair scrambles. My overall hope is this is that step between a full Pro race model and the X-Trainer, and the bike I was really looking for.
I got the RR390 2023 and really love it, but I find the fork already very soft, it looks like the fork of the xtrainer... does the engine is more powerful? Does the geometry have changed??
If you’re not stoked about it it’s not made for you. The guys that can see what is going on are stoked. In 2 years everyone thats poo pooing the X-Pro are going to realize how smart this bike is. Nice move Beta!
As a shorty, I was already looking at the Beta, but 20mm lower really seals the deal for me. hopefully that did not come at the cost of reduced suspension travel. Not too stoked about a single spring fork but I've never ridden one either. I'm assuming the RS will have the same setup. It would be nice to see a power distribution module similar to the 24+ KTMs.
Why can’t they just make an x-trainer pro? Give the x-trainer the RR pipe, Airbox, cdi, etc, and then a great suspension? Why are they so convinced that anybody under 5’10” is poor and a slow rider? Also, put the 390 in an x trainer chassis.
It looks like what Beta is doing here is freeing up a significant portion of their assembly line for the RX (motocross/hare scramble) version for 2026. The RR XPRO seems to have moved the old RR closer to the RR Race Edition (a compromise between the two). It is now the competitive enduro version. Come 2026 we're going to see the 125 RX, 250 RX (2T and 4T), 350 RX added to the 300 RX and 450 RX line up. Any bets on if we'll see a 200 RX? I am guessing that anyone wanting to motocross (or hare scramble, desert, cross country) race a Beta will snap up the RX models.
I kind of thought and hoped it would be an up spec XTrainer. I can't say whether I'm stoked by this or not, just curious what else this means. Like, will Beta get rid of the XTrainer now? This kind of blurs the line between the old RR and the XTrainer. If these had been out a couple years ago, I might have bought one of these instead of the XTrainer I ended up with. I chose the XTrainer because by having a lower seat, it was easier to mount and dismount compared to the standard RR model. If Beta keeps the RS lineup as it currently exists, then someone wishing for the standard RR model could just buy the RS and ditch the mirrors and blinkers and have an RR with the Trailtech and cooling fan, stock. Where I ride, I only ever see XTrainers and Race Editions. Seems like no one around here was even buying the RR as it was. If $13,000 just fell out of the sky into my lap, I'd be looking to buy a 390RS Special Edition. I'm stoked about that bike but not in the market for one.
So many negative uninformed Beta videos today.. New and improved, less money and people are bitching? The X in the title has everyone misled. What Beta needs is an RE without lights XC style.
They should have just stuck kyb on it the single spring is crap standard WP suspension is better electronic key is a good idea if you have full registration and you want to stop somewhere rather than those stupid keys in the side of the steering head
According to Jared at 3Seas it’s been problematic. Beta even had them stop installing them on ‘24 Xtrainers. Biggest problem they have is If anything goes wrong with the system your bike wont run. They even use their own batteries, not the bikes. If their battery dies you are sol. Not something you want in the woods miles from home.
It's funny to me how people are talking crap on the line up but nobody has ridden one yet!!! Just when Suzuki re-did the RM line up for 2001. Everyone talked crap saying it was slow but me and a buddy had the same bike except he had revalved suspension and mine was stock. Awful funny that 2 of the "slowest" bikes were getting holeshots and good results in 250 A(top 3) & 250/Vet B (top 10) in local and GNCC races. I'll wait til I get to ride one to see what I think. Could be a polished gold bar or a polished turd.... LOL
Big pass for me with the new fork.My sachs rr forks i put in different system with compression adjusters on bottom because stock not so good. All single spring forks systems pretty much suck and this will be aftermarket companies dream just like WP crap forks.I will be buying the race next simple because it has kyb that a re valve can match my riding. My RR took 1300$ in aftermarket parts to be good.
Single spring fork doesn't necessarily mean soft...anyone ever ride SHOWA suspension on a mx bike? Single spring, separate function forks....definitely not soft. ...But this fork will probably ship soft, since it looks like its tailored to the hard enduro crowd.
love the way people will react just looking at some datas... As usual, reviews will be made using bike full speed on destroyed trails and complaining suspension is bottoming... the usual phantasm or the pro race week end warrior rider...so they sill can buy race Edition but what is funny is the marketing, with the "pro" appellation. can't blame beta, customers are still immature
@@AaronsEnduro Absolutely. I was planning on buying a new Beta this year and held off to see what the 2025s would be like. Now I’m thinking about sticking with the ‘24 RE and hopefully get a deal.
it IS a downgrade... :-( who needs an overflow tank for the coolant ? another thing that can get hurt ??? and the new fork - instead of giving us, finally, a closed cartridge fork, they put one sided coil system... what's the "big deal" ??? few grams less? AND, how can it be 20mm lower seat height if we see at the tech data that it's the same wheel base\max height\max length\seat height 930mm\ground clearance\foot rest height... EVERYTHING IS THE SAME !!! how is it 20mm lower seat height ????????????
@AaronsEnduro I think it's going to take away from the xtrainer sales more than anything. I was leaning twards an xtrainer then kinda interested in the rr. But now more thinking the xpro
Ive ridden the 300 2t 2025 and it aint slow by no means. Handles good. Got all the power you need.. adjust power valve. I dont see why people are making a big deal over the name. Who cares. The x trainer has good low and mid but garbage top end. Super flat. The xpro has better power all the way thru the rpm range. Lower seat is butter. Meanwhile every other bike brand is raising seat height. It just wasn't what beta junkies wanted. Its better than x trainer to me
Stupid comment, how can the race frame be a downgrade? Plus the pros have been using a lower link to lower there bikes and thick mimics that, how is that a downgrade? The 125 is an entire new motor, how is that a downgrade? The 300 gets the race piston, how is that a downgrade? The rads have been redesigned to increase the turn radius and the plastics are closer in so they don't catch trees. The only downgrade here is your cognitive abilities.

I wonder if they addressed the turning radius issue? My 200RR has the turning radius of the Queen Mary.
Not sure what year model you have but in 2024 they notched the rads to accommodate tighter turning radius
My x trainer turns so damn sharp you could go over the bars

Must be specific to your area. Jared from 3Seas said he was the 5th highest selling dealer in ‘23 and mostly sell RR’s.

Don’t forget bold new graphics
