We all know how important it is but I feel like a lot of our mixes could have been fixed in early stages when choosing and shaping the sounds. I would like to see your take on sound selection, several examples of kicks working with claps, hats, percussion and of course, what basses and leads they work best with. Maybe common sound selection mistakes. Making them work mixing wise I think we know, you have good tutorials there.

Zen, great knowledge as always, can you make a tutorial for those bright arps that CamelPhat is making? They make them feel powerful, but the high end is not "flat" and "hurtful" as it comes up in my music. My arps end up sounding too energetic and "annoying" and I can't fix it with eq.

Agreed to an extent! I think DIVA doesn't give enough access to wavetables and the FM Sound capabilities. I still need to dive deeper into that U-HE synth however.
