This will depend on the hero. Sometimes it can be enough to use orange to get through the stage, but you should try to make reds if you have the right buffs

why did you choose the cube twice? and i guess + numbers are irrelevant, only tier?

High numbers, like 100+, will make you unstoppable. But, this doesn't always help you maximize points. Using the cube as many times as possible will give you as many extra moves as possible, which helps maximize points

Sadly high level Heroes do not help with high score. The only way to get a high score is to use dice, ideally +8 moves. This combined with a merge or upgrade also helps guarantee 10 wins. You should always try to lose one battle to increase your score. Top 100 requires 3 consecutive rounds of dice!
