Turning cold and unemotional mass-made flat object into a wholehearted unique hand-made piece of art is always magic to me. Thanks a lot for showing another fabulous transformation. This has serious potential to generate a lot of meaningful fun.
I love adding my owe style to the flat pieces that you get online. I've been working with these pieces for some time now. I was introduced to junk journals in early 2020. Just when the pandemic hit by a crafter offering templates for every piece of paper in her journal. Even the pages in the signatures. It was stunning, but I needed to color outside the lines lol. So I started on my own journey to find my own with the materials tgat i had on hand. Junk journals were exactly what I was looking for, so i bought many paper packs til i figured I had enough to make some that didnt look loke all of the other ones being offered. I've made many since then and have enough to offer my work to others. I found Tim Holtz after watching several videos and fell in love with his style.
That's just wonderful!!! Thank you for the idea))) i've been collecting old post cards but some of them have prints i don't really like... I was looking for some options and found you))))
Love, Love, Love these altered post cards. They make awesome journaling cards for any size journal !! I've been saving pieces to make ephemera for my journals for some time. When I moved last year, I threw a lot on that kind of stuff away knowing that I could always save some again. Ive been at my current address for about 6 months now and my stash is growing again. This video is exactly what I need right now, as I'm going to get my crafts into a sale in December and need to get my journals finished before then.
Hi I'm new to your channel and I loved the bee one, so nice to see what others do with the same stinsle stuff :) love your art, and saying hi from Utah 😊
To fix the card on the gelli plate is clever 👏🏻👍🏻 I had to laugh when you stick the "stamp" on your finger, that looked so funny 😂 the results are really unique and amazing 🧡🧡🧡 love them, think I have to try this tomorrow 😊
Thank you so much dear Steffi. I’m glad you enjoyed it. Oh, those anti-slip stickers were perfect for stamps 😂. That was funny, indeed. I laughed when I watched the recording, too. 😆
Ah, yes, amazing! I have a huge stack of old postcards (I mean, some of them are about 100 y.o.) and also way too many old and ugly photographs (remember when we all used disposable camera during vacations? yeah, those...). I'm adding that video in a playlist for future reference
Amazing transformation to detailed eye-catching work of art. Your intuition and experience is a wonderful thing you're sharing so generously. I'm grateful.
Watching for a second time cause I didnt watch to the end. Dudnt see the awesome leaves. Love them too !! I made a painting board out of a cutting board wrapped in plastic. I put my paint on this and picked up the paint with my brayer and a paint brush then applied it to my paper with a pad under the piece being painted. I love how you used unconventional methods to make the backgrounds. Im going to have to use those methods the next time that I paint. I have a rubbery comb tool and I used it on black splatrers that were stil wet. It looked like pinecones stamaped all over a yelloe and light background ! pinecones. I thought it was awesome ! What was that blue thing that you used to make the tiny dots ?
I’m so glad you enjoyed the video. Great idea using cutting board wrapped in plastic. Thanks for sharing. The blue tool I used is a painting tool that is used for making wood imitation pattern. Perhaps hardware stores would have them, or places that sell household paint. 😊
Welcome! Thank you for subscribing and watching. I use them in my journals and in the digital kits that I put together with my artworks. These are now part of the Artsy Nature Collection kit saacibo.etsy.com/listing/1777713988

Q. Do you sell some of your postcards, or only use them in your journals?
