i think its funny that xemnas gets so desperate that he tries to gaslight the two people that literally fistbump after one of their attacks into thinking they hate each other
He knew Sora and Riku teaming up would be the death of him, so he did everything he could to separate them and try to spark mistrust. Needless to say, it failed.
In all honesty, Fuck the HD Remake. It cuts the "Knock back 3 Projectile Skyscrapers back at the Shield" to 2, and Xemnas doesn't even do the "Try to turn Sora and Riku against eachother" Speech on the Last One. The HD Remake (or Report. I care not for what it's called) Sucks!
Uploaded in 2018, recorded on a potato. Definitely cool to see some of the rarer dialogue. I recently managed to trigger that weird, snoring-esque noise when fighting this phase, first time I'd ever heard it in-game.
Yeah, I recorded it from my PS2. I don't have anything to convert standard definition signals into HD, so all I can capture from it (and similar systems) is SD footage. I think I know what you mean by that noise, the one at 1:32? I think he always does that, but it gets cut off when you do the follow-up reaction command and break his guard. If you listen closely, you can hear a second or two of it towards the end, when I succeeded in doing the reaction command.
I only know that he said 2 things. The first one is what I always here which is "Riku, are you sure you're not jealous of Sora?" The 2nd was what I heard from a video which was, "Sora, are you certain you can trust Riku?" I have never heard this one before. All in all, this fight with Xemnas has got to be the best boss fight in all of the series, especially with those voice lines. Shame I don't hear them anymore in the remaster
I replayed this fight so many times lol, if you stay out long enough he throws all kinds of diss. Also, you can walk on an invisible floor if you let yourself fall long enough
Considering the fact that the line only plays when you fail the reaction command, it's likely Xemnas saying that Sora and Riku don't have the will to defeat him and lack the conviction in their hearts to finish the battle.
Nope. Only way you can miss that quote is if you fly up to Xemnas quick enough. He speaks to Sora and Riku the 1st and 2nd times he blasts you out into "space".
@UCwqZW13u9eQiTvhqKG1L6Eg Yeah, the First and Second, but not on the Last One, and Fuck You HD Re:Mix cutting it down to two times. If the Quote is still in the HD Remake, then I guess extra effort is needed to get Xemnas to say it.
I legit heard the 3rd voice line in-game years ago by stalling the 3rd building strike, because I felt like I rushed the Boss Fight too hard on the first attempt.
The PS4 version (and perhaps the PS2 FM version, I'm not sure) actually did cut a "phase" out of the fight, so perhaps so. On the original PS2, he would blast you out a 3rd time once his life got to 1 and a half bars left (which is where he says the quote in this video), but on the PS4 version, this does not occur, and his last 2 and a half life bars or so are taken out in 1 go. So if he only says the quote in the 3rd phase, then yeah it's probably gone.
@@IidosGamingDen just confirmed it does occur on PS4, I’ll try it again to record and post it and send you a link. On the first blow back he said the sora quote, then I landed on the ground and came back up to do two failed meteor raid RCs. He hit me back a couple time and that’s when he said it!
@@IidosGamingDen I tried to get him to trigger the Riku line cause I thought it would be after that. But it just happened. I never knew that was in any version until today, so that’s great!
They never should've reduced the "Knocking Skyscrapers back into the Shield" from 3 to 2. Stupid HD Re:Mix. Edit: Correction! The reducing of "Knocking Skyscrapers back into the Shield" thing was PS2 Final Mix, not HD 2.5 Re:Mix. Even so, I still hate HD 2.5 Re:Mix for not doing as good a Job of Remastering the Music from the Original PS2 Game.
@@tackcity7563 Yeah, exactly! Unless you were talking about how many times Xemnas talked to Sora/Riku after blowing them into the Vortex in back, while putting up a Shield to prevent them from getting back to his Cockpit Throne to cause Discord between the two, then you'd still be wrong, because as the Video has proven, there was a Third, but because the Third "Shield Break Phase" cut it out after he says "Embrace Nothing", so it became a Hidden Audio Clip that the Player had to force out of Xemnas in some way. And again, there were 3 Shield Break Phases, but Fucking Final Mix cut it down to 2 for some Arbitrary-Ass Reason. Thus, making the Hunt for that Third Xemnas Quote Difficult, if not Impossible.
That change was done by JP Final Mix, not Re:Mix. Re:Mix in general doesn't make any changes to JP Final Mix's gameplay outside of some small unintended quorks when playing at 60 fps, so anything that is different from the PS2 US version is a change done in PS2 FM.
The last one featured in the video. "Sora... Riku... there is falsehood in your hearts... do you dare deny it?" It can only be triggered by failing the reaction command in that last phase, so most people likely have not heard it.

Well, when you're a kid and suck at fighting like i did. You'll be in the fight long enough to hear ALL the battle quotes
Heh, can't say I ever had that much trouble battling him, but I was a teen when I first played, so eh.

Dumb question but like… what does xemnas mean when he says that? “Falsehood in your hearts?”
Considering the fact that the line only plays when you fail the reaction command, it's likely Xemnas saying that Sora and Riku don't have the will to defeat him and lack the conviction in their hearts to finish the battle.

It is a pretty easy boss and it's not one you want to be over with super quickly due to the music and epicness, so... I get that mindset.
I tried on the FM PS4 version and he didn’t say it. I’m gonna try again, but they may have actually cut it
