It’s not a bad thing to know how to do that because you can control all of the awkward milliseconds that don’t need to be in the scene as well.

Though we’ve been making music videos for about 4 years now, I am not a videographer and appreciate learning better ways to be more productive. Thanks for giving me a few new techniques to try (I never name my layers, so I will try that to help move things along better)! 🧑🏾💻😎🙌🏾

@Birdy... I have my very first shoot to perform on Saturday/Sunday. I'm a bit anxious and sorta nervous as well... it's a low or almost zero budget shoot, we'll use nature as our friend. I'm the camera + gimbal guy + director. I saw your comment, which means u had an experience last month. I wish I can dm you and take all your tips and advice and know how it went... What worked and what didn't. Kindly respond asap, I'll greatly appreciate it. P.s I'm using an a6400 + Sigma 16mm 1.4, 30mm 1.4 and a Sirui p1 Gimbal, also with a fluid head tripod.

what is a good editing software to use to edit and to use the multicam?
what do you do if there is more then one artist not the song? do they sing all the way through till their part is over then cut? and pick back up from the next artist or what?

Honestly I usually do yes. If you’re better at planning than I am and you know exactly where different scenes will end up in the final edit it’s enough to only shoot those parts
For some reason when I do this process FCP only synchronizes one clip with the audio then the rest of the footage goes later on the timeline with no audio.

That multicam function is smth else, my past final cut projects have just been messes of layers on top of one another 😂
Pretty much my same process except, Im picky so I dont use the multi cam sequence.
