28 wasn't bad here since it seemed like low 30's were the really high scores. If you watch the x games park finals 2015 in Austin....thats some REAL insulting judging on Ben....they gave him a 42 then a fucking 28 when the high scores are like 80-90....he was so pissed he didn't even do his 3rd run. Tony Hawk even said that was an insult to him and he should have got a 50.
edd samson to put it into context, you can't really grade ones creativity, and that's what Ben was doing, being artistic and expressing himself through riding. sadly these days judges just want to see ninja flips and gaps, that are often done without style. it's a shame... but this is just my opinion
I have had the pleasure of meeting BEN he is a super rad hippy fuck who can shred so nonchalant like while doing weird or unique tricks and combos. GREAT ASS VIDEO HERE OF HIM AS WELL, NO DOUBT. Wondering why he didn't win it that year, oh well :))
