Thanks, this was cool. I am from Sweden, and "Ack Värmeland du sköna" is a very well known folk song here in Sweden. I play it myself sometimes. I play trumpet, sax, flute, some cello, etc. and mostly play jazz, but I didn't know that this song was known outside of Sweden in this way, in the jazz world. Now I of course had to check some other (jazz-)versions of this. I found this one with Stan Getz and Chet Baker which I like very much: th-cam.com/video/ksQBfJ968TA/w-d-xo.html

Ha!!! That's probably the hardest tune in the book! I'm waiting to see what I'll do with it too :)

Super tasty musical choices and flawless technique, as usual. I really look forward to each new song. Right now, I'm trying to come up with a solo piano arrangement of "Line for Lyons". I've requested this tune from several TH-cam tutors, but no one seems to know the tune! I'll bet that having worked with Gerry Mulligan, you know it. I'm not sure it's in the Real Book, but if it is, it should come up in your rotation in another two or three years! Thanks for all you do for us wannabes out here.

That's one of my favorite tunes, David! Send me an email, and I'll see if I can find my leadsheet.

Love that tune! Apparently it's origin is the 1700's. Stan Getz is credited with bringing it to North America and arranging it as a jazz tune. He discovered it when he was in Sweden.

@@rondrotoskeyboardimprov9453 can you please make a youtube playlist of the journey? It is difficult to find the next one. I know you have the page on your website, but it would be great if the next video auto-loaded. I am currently going through this in a random way, because that is how they appear on youtube.
