Sean, I have noticed lately that you have been traveling around on non snow days with your plow on. Snow plows are notorious in having bad front bearings over time. Not that your bearing should have gone out by now. I disconnect my plow on no snow days to cut down on the wear and tear on my front end.
We had about 6 to 7 inches of snow today but it never got above freezing. Made my run and push very wet snow but it was melting fast. It is 11:00 PM now and the temperature outside is still 33 degrees.
Be safe and thanks for the video!
2022 and wheel baring shot already, should have bought a Chevy. My 08 duramax 3500 is still plowing snow with the original bearings at 198,674 miles. We do several strip malls, Home Depot’s and wal Marts, with bigger equipment. Fast food restaurants with the pickups . But in all seriousness it could have been a bad Bering from the get go. My son has a 4 door long bed f350 and has replaced the bearings twice in five years. Moog had a bad stock of defective bearings . Pushin snow will wear you out. I love your set ups. Nice plows and boxes. I’ll plow gravel but I’m not responsible for where it ends up. Lol
Awesome job Spencer Team! As always be safe and warm! Praying for you both along with family and friends 🙏🙏🙏
Thank you, Shawn, for lowering the volume of the music.
You both work so hard, no matter the weather.
Another one! You guys are such a good example of owning and running a business! An inspiration for sure.
Report from South Central Ohio. No snow down here yet! Calling for skim for tomorrow morning but had rain and high winds. Prayers for y'all up there. Love yall's videos.
o for about 6 weeks now I've had a squeak coming from my front right wheel, it sounded like a brake squeal, was only audible when the truck was in motion, and only after a few minutes or more at freeway speeds. Pressing the brake didn't change the noise at all, and it wasn't audible in reverse. The noise would become higher pitched as speed increased, and went away at about 45 MPH. The sound (when audible) was worse in a low speed turn of either direction.
I tried lubricating the U-joints and shafts, no change.
Disassembled the front brakes (pads are only 5 months old) cleaned everything up really good, reassembled with new hardware, no change.
The Ford mechanic said it sounded like a wheel bearing was just starting to go, and allowing the rotor (when heated up) to rub the heat shield just barely, so I bent the heatshields in a little on both sides to test his theory, again no change.
I just couldn't see my truck having a bearing failing at 51K, I barely haul with it, and don't beat on it at all. My last SD was on the originals at 200K when I sold it.
I was about to start replacing U-joints and maybe a hub assembly when I decided to just tear it all apart and look for anything else that moved that I may have missed.
And then BINGO!
In the hub assembly, there's about a 2mm gap between the two main parts. I noticed some caked in rust/dust/grit, and proceeded to soak it with PB Blaster. After letting it soak a while I scraped out the chunks of crap with a micro-file (it's a tiny gap) and sprayed it out with some carburetor cleaner and compressed air. I finished by spraying a tiny bit of liquid wrench into the gap.
After a 20 mile freeway drive I took an exit, and leaving the offramp I heard NOTHING, finally.
I Googled, searched forums, took it to 3 different shops in a month, all to no avail.
The worst part is that I found several threads on various forums where guys who had similar problems replaced hub assemblies that had zero play, and weren't growling. I wonder how many of them may have missed this simple issue.
I had it apart no less than 3 times, but never noticed the crap in that tiny gap. So I thought I'd post a thread on it as a heads up for the next guy.
And to think, I was about 5 minutes from replacing both front hub assemblies. While that surely would have solved the problem, it'd have been one hell of a waste of cash.
2008 F250 FX4, 6.4, Job 2 ~~~ SOLD
check the forums my truck has same noise. 2020 F350 SD as well. hope it works out.
24:40 love the Slush SPLAT
Gravel is what plow pucks are for. Save you a lot of headaches. Any indent they make, your truck wheels drive over and will flatten out.
Spencer and your wife I have never seen such a good team with snow and rain you are the top I would like to meet you and greet you and give me the idea of when you might be weird you live I really would like to meet you and your wife to tellGod bless you in person one hell of a job you do be safe be careful God bless may he will cover you and keep you safe through the time anytime because you do such a good job I wish you were in my area in New Jersey I would hire you in a minute but as I said be safe be careful and God bless.❤❤❤❤❤❤
Spencer you have a GREAT operation(Snow / Lawn Care) / like the attachments to the mowers : Blowers / Plow / etc etc
imgetting a 16.5hp dr sidewalk machine with a bruish hog, lawn mower deck, blade, blower and also probbly wood chipper attachments
Yep, getting ready for the ICE SKATING PARTY NOW, with ALL that Rain 🌧️🌧️☔ freezing 🥶🥶❄️❄️ , Break out the SKATES 🤣😂🤣✌️😎😆
It's changing over here in Vermont now, hopefully it doesn't get to bad, keep up the good work guys and gals
I love wide open lots! Pump up the tunes and rock out! Plowing a campground and Storage facility isn't as much fun.. twice today!
24 hour long snow days is what builds character ;)
I kinda miss all of the snow videos from last year! But I sure you don’t miss the sleepless nights and days! But you don’t make all that much in the winter with no snow ❄️
Great job and great video guys!!
Stay safe!! 🤗 💕
That Toro is working out good with the snow. Do you think will do ok in deeper snow? Glad y’all found the problem with the wheel. Y’all keep up the great work and be careful stay warm and stay safe!!!
Good job y’all, please be careful out there. Have a great evening,& relax.💯❤️👏🏾💜🙋🏽♀️✝️🙏🏾🇺🇸
I think you should get a skid Steer or small front end loader with a arctic sectional pusher on it for the zero tolerance property
They should get one of those F-14 SnoPower snow plows.
@@blizzardice06 that would help dirt monkey just put one on his f 250
That would be nice!
@@SpencerLawnCare have you looked in to the f14 plow
my kubota dealer has great sales on kubota skid steers and kubota r series front end loader
Hopefully we get a lot of snow this year
Why go with these pole barns? Why not the normal slab and a steel shed? All I can see is the wood rotting and being a issue in a few years.
The wood is kept dry. It will last 100 years if things are maintained.
Great team work thru the snow storm. Was wondering how the beacon lights are holding on the crew cab thur this winter weather ..That stick on base was interesting.. Get some rest
You should shut your strobes off when getting loaded at night (unless the place wants them on) as someone who loads spreaders at night I can say the lights are very blinding and distracting!
Seems like you guys got lots of snow! Enjoy your evening and get some rest!
Thank yes we did and will do. Have a good night
@@SpencerLawnCare thanks you guys too.
I thought when you originally got the plow for the mower it would never work. But I’m definitely impressed by how well that does.
V plows suck at moving snow unless you add wings for containment. Looks like you need a pull plow asap.
29 degrees we got the same amount of snow as you have in the blue state of Michigan thank you for taking me along God bless yous
Many many moons ago, I used to plow snow for huge Mall here in Dayton, Ohio. I sure don't miss those days. Pushing snow is hard on the body. Kudos to you kids that are willing to do this and make good money.
Again, Nice work by Spencer lawn/snow care.
That multi force is pretty impressive. I might have to invest in one for my properties.
Gravel is terrible! Couldn't agree more. You guys do an excellent job!
I would like an equipment shed that size. Pull trough with a trailer hooked up. Build it with floor drains.
Thought you were going to use the shorter door..😉😉🤷♂️
Not sure if you have a cdl but a truck like an ODOT truck with a salt spreader and a plow would make commercial properties like this much quicker and more fun
That was the most satisfying plowing I've seen yet so far on your toro. Thing plows great 👍
You guys are so lucky my plow has yet to see any action this year
Mine too! Lol 😂
The second salt spreader is coming in handy.
I hate zero tolerance accounts, nothing but headaches. Glad we got rid of the ones we had. And about todays snow we waited till about 12 pm to head out and it was mostly melted off saved a lot on salt and labor
Awesome video thanks for sharing love the music and be safe
Man, wish I could have some of that white stuff down here in Maryland. This winter is a bust. At least so far
You make that pickup fly.... I'm impressed 👍
Great video guys stay safe out there and have a good rest of your week
Looks like TQ has stolen your 4 door 😂
Haha I'm getting used to it lol I still like the single cab
My man a Chevy man!!❤
Snow is money in the bank for you and T Q $$$$$ ,the noise truck is making is very likely covered by warranty. bodymanbob from Alabama it does not Snow where I'm located. Keep plowing and pray for more snow and make Bank.Keep the excellent coming. 🙏 Thanks.
@@SpencerLawnCare Great job you all be careful out there never know when you hit a slick spot
@@SpencerLawnCare single cabs are the best to plow in imo
Good Video TQ and Shawn Nice job That wheel Bearing should be warranted
I think it’s great the client lets you park the plow inside where it’s warm
If you get snow today like we got rain last night it's going to alot!!!
Yeah we are getting rain now and then it should turn back over to snow
Good morning & God bless you all
Man I was getting dizzy watching you go around and around and around and around and ughhhh haha 😄 great video
That qualifies as a big snow in Ohio?
Well this year so far lol
Yea... That's just a Monday morning in Northern Vermont... LOL.. But I think Ohio got slammed last season, with a couple 2 footers in a row.. That's some serious snow, even for us... IMO never take on more jobs, than you can handle in a worse case situation.. In my 25+ years of snow removal, they might be at that point (with the Zero tolerance lots). I wish them the best!
I have been fighting the same storm in dayton-springfeid area except we were pushing slush all day lol
Spencer you should look into Sumosprings for your trucks setup will help with the load and snow plow
I'd cover your salt bins,to make it easier to sling the clean dry salt instead of wet mushy salt!!
Ya gotta look out for those people wearing high 👠 heels in the snow...
Gotta love that!
You mean I gotta wear 👢 boots?
So important to have back up equipment. These new trucks today do break unfortunately and with parts shortages things just can't get fixed like they use to.
You and your wife makes a great team
Good evening 👋
We got about 4 inches over night and snow chances every day for the rest of the week
May be a busy week for us
My driveway I have stenches for my snow pile
👍
I highly doubt you were expected to get 3 inches of rain
They were. What happened was exactly what was forecasted.
Gravel! I keep my plow shoes in the toolbox just in case!!
Yeah I have a loose gravel lot like that on my route that I really don’t enjoy. Inevitably you’re going to dig your plow in go into the steering wheel. It’s hard being patient with it.
Hard to believe the dealership where truck was purchased can't provide service support for a truck less than one year old.
Especially if it's basically a failing component vs operator error.
An inch or so of snow from that same storm here, then a bunch of rain on our ice base 🧊
I’m still buying salt by the pallet and I’ll hand spread my residentials until I make some money!
You really shouldn’t walk in and out of those 10ft and 14ft doors. Most companies have policies against that for safety. No matter how much of an inconvenience, always use the man door to go in and out.
I have some zero tolerance driveways just want to get in and out at all times! Gotta Score more commercial jobs but don’t want to get overwhelmed!!!
I mean Noah’s right he took my answer right out of my head it’s a ford and if you look at the front and back they even circled the problem
Ya you guys and everybody else on the mountains are getting a crap tune more then us,we're only getting inches.gods been gracious for use in iowa.
I’m in love with this Toro!!!
Be safe Spencer team. Great video.
Good work guys
I still can't believe you guys used bag salt. That was a lot of work to use them. Good night
They had less salt accounts back then
What would be pimp about that machine,,,,, them hydraulic or even electric extenders. I like them.
That garden tractor with the plow
You had a three week vacation from plowing jobs. Now the snow hits you guys hard back to work with a little sleep to rest between breaks. Got to get the truck back up running 💯 percent. Just have a money pit for a new truck. Hopefully this will be the last repair for a long time.
Shawn rotate your tires front to back sometimes rubber meets rim in weird way from plow weights sqeek go away
great video
HAPPY BIRTHDAY 🎉🥳🎉🎉
Idk how y'all even move your fingers in that weather 😅
My arthritis hurts just thinking about lmao 😂
Good evening, seem like you guys are having fun in the snow😂. But here in Houston Texas, tornado watch
Oh no stay safe in Texas
@@SpencerLawnCare thank you!
Shawn, How is Your Leg 🦵 its Looking Like You we’re Limping ?
Go Job !!!!!
You need more crew! I’ll drive out and help you my Chevy is a beast! Lol!
It’s so funny Spencer I have to drop my truck off tomorrow for the exact same problem. Whenever I lock it into four-wheel-drive, and I start driving for a while with my plow on it start squealing terribly.
Another good video
Hey Shawn I hope you're 2 door truck does not become a money pitpit. Stay safe out there Hope to see you in the next video.
Low mileage on regular cab,but every brands has problems. Own all three brands. Went back too older chevy.
can you show some of your other accounts? enjoy your your show, but it seems to be the same lot. have a great day, get some rest..
The weather is Bi Polar pun intended later tater love from Texas
Wow. Brand new truck. Major electric issues. Now a wheel bearing.
Must be a Ford.
Good luck
Stay ssfe🙏
It’s very easy to get overwhelmed when you got 20 people calling at one time because there stuck in n there driveway! 😂
👏👏👍🏻👍🏻❣
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪
TQ stole the new truck from Shawn. But sometimes she Entitled to she the new single cab last year plowing. Good job TQ
The tires on the stand on,do they have spikes or just like 4 wheeler tires ?
I drove right through yalls area that weather sucked i71 was shut down for a roll over
Question: Do you guys charge one price for the year
Some are under contract some are per push
@@SpencerLawnCare cool thanks
@@SpencerLawnCare Salt cost is never under contract for you correct! It's a good way to lose your shirt! I find per application is a win/win for both parties!
That ended up being a real slushy mess for this one!
Do green lights mean snow equipment there or something like that?
😍🤩😁😁
oops You did the BIG door again
What sucks is that wheel bearing is covered under your bumper to bumper factory warranty & Ford is gonna get a pass because you need your truck asap !
Snowed an hour in Southern Connecticut today ,,, rain now
Yeah we have rain as of now also
