I'm neither Muslim nor Christian, but rather a pluralistic person that takes inspiration from different places of all kinds, and I'm grateful that I found this speech. I also think this is your most organized one yet. Please continue making these.
Neutrality is dumb because it often supports injustice, avoids accountability, undermines advocacy, and can be seen as moral complicity. By staying neutral, you are risks enabling wrongdoers and missing opportunities to stand for justice. As Desmond Tutu said, neutrality in injustice sides with the oppressor. I invite you to Islam brother!
@abdifatahali4733 I am unorthodox I believe Muslim women can marry non Muslims. I don't fit any majority. I come here because of Lama's spirituality and her talks I think are real hidden gems.
Salam sister. This video was helpful. I'm a single guy who feels lonely and sorry for himself a lot, but first of all Allah swt has blessed me with so much else, and second of all, marriage and children are just pleasures of this dunya.
Lama jazakAllah khair for all your videos and coaching this year, May Allah increase you! I started listening to you bc I am someone seeking marriage and other life goals but your videos remind me that this journey is about getting closer to Allah and growing into the potential that Allah saw in us when He created us - essentially being versions of ourselves that we can be proud of
You know I am so much into your words that the moment you say something that I already have felt in heart ❤ All your words coming from heart and touching my heart ❤😊
I was just thinking 'how would one continue to be grateful even when their worldly affairs are in shambles.' For example, I think about how I love my dad, but there are moments when we fight and it throws my mood off and makes me dislike him in that moment. Remembering Allah and the fact that He just wants me to be good to my father and will accept my repentance when I repent gives me hope and something to be grateful for. What I'm trying to get at is we are always able to find something to be grateful for because of the way Allah inherently is. His qualities are unchanging, unlike the things and people in this dunya. Not the most eloquent and maybe I'm just repeating something Lama already said or am completely wrong but it just clicked for me.
I feel like those thoughts that u mentioned as thoughts that block our joy is the reason why im able to strive for more. Like if im satisfied with the job i have and im grateful and happy… feel like im settling and I have to strive for better job, more money etc so the question is how do u keep that feeling of gratitude and joy but at the same time strive for more and not get lazy
By realizing that none of it is a big deal, the job you don't wanna settle for and the job youre striving for is literally not a big deal, it's all going to be over , I mean new normal, you'll always find yourself striving for something better , but that doesn't mean all those things you had before , like the job you think you're settling for isn't something you cannot be grateful for.. everything has its own beauty even if we cannot see it. Hope this helps ❤
Hey Lama, thank you for your videos, I'm quite new to your channel! I wanted to ask if it's possible for you to film your videos looking at the lens. I get very distracted when you look down and don't really feel like I'm being addressed. I would love it if you could change this for your next videos. Thank you so much and may Allah bless you! 💗🌸
I know this is specific but would help not just me but others. I and many other people have long term illness physically but personally have a lot of fears that nobody will want or marry me because of this how can I overcome this and can you share successful stories of marriages where people found love whilst having that
May Allah grant you shifa. Lots of prayers I know a girl who is blind, got hysterectomy done and has a colostomy bag and is married to a wonderful man despite all her heath issues. I saw a girl on instagram the other day, who had both her legs amputated from knees when she was a child and is married with 2 kids. Allah can give you your person regardless of your circumstance :) May Allah grant you the spouse of your dreams!
@ ameen thank you! wow this has given me hope that was missing, nearly brought me to tears thank you for sharing these real life examples means a lot ❤️
I need a consult from you.. I live in a third world country and I can not afford a conslut.. I am going to make a big decision about my future marriage and I have doubts and this makes me anxcious since months..I don't want to regret my choice..
