Got all my souvenirs at the Ghibli store at diver city mall on Odaiba. I really wish I knew about character street before this trip. I could’ve taken care off all my souvenir/ gift shopping in one day. Next trip!! 🎁🛍️🛒
Whether in Japan, Europe or other Asian countries… I love visiting their supermarkets to look for local food stuff as souvenirs.. relatively cheap and unique There are many big Donki outlets in different Asia countries now.. but the prices are not as cheap as in Japan
When I'm in Japan and pop into a Donki I get overwhelmed and immediately regret it 😂 but getting big bags of matcha Kit Kats there is my go-to for souvenirs.
I'd like to see some antenna shops as well. Perhaps for part 2 or a different kind of video, just exploring the different prefectures through the antenna shops in Tokyo. Thank you for sharing.
The Shibuya Tokyu Hands was my favourite store. Great for tools. I bought a friend a Hanko which took some planning. She's an artist and stamps her water colors with it. Hand thrown pottery is nice. I had a competition with a friend for kitsch presents and I won with a Fujisan ash tray. When you put down a cigarette smoke came out of the top of the mountain. It was awful and he loved it.
Great video ❤ Lol fellow Aussie here…we now have Daiso in most shopping centres around Australia…so if you buy a souvenir for family and friends from there, they are gonna know haha! 😂😜
I love that Loft store! I bought an awesome Japanese egg roll pan there. Also love Japanese stationary, pens, skincare, face masks, sunscreen and ceramics. Galbo sweets are a must too
i've been to loft twice but i did not know they had all that cool stuff. looks like a great place to buy gifts. also, i need to check out the shampoo/conditioner
such an awesome video! it makes me miss japan so much! loft and hands are the most dangerous shops i’ve ever been in 🤣 i spent way too much money in loft on my last trip and i have no regrets! one thing i love about donki is that they’re open 24 hours. 3am snack runs have never been more fun!
That shichimi in the cute white tins is from Kyoto and you can get it from the maker's shop in Nishiki Market! (Speaking of Kyoto, my go-to souvenir is the Kyoto rayu furikake. Everyone LOVES it.) Also the instructions in those DIY crafting kits usually have good diagrams so that it's okay if you don't speak Japanese (plus Google Translate's camera feature can help!)
11:07 These things are sooo good I always end up buying a ton ! It's a nice sweet honey flavored puff that has a nice crunch but also melts away at the end 🤤
I stumbled on Tokyo station character street on the day before my last day in Tokyo! Unfortunately it was closed but it had SO MUCH!!! We were looking for the Uniqlo to find Zelda shirts 😂 The station is such a massive maze!! 🛍️🎁🍵
I bought the DIY miniature unagi store and it didn't cross my mind then that instructions would be in japanese haha but thankfully there were youtube videos showing how they built it so i managed to complete it in the end
LOFT!!!! My early 90s Jam!!! Used to go a few times a month to Umeda store. It also had an international art movie theatre right by. Odaka had restaurants at the top of loft. One was a pasta restaurant we went to all the time. It was a chain restaurant but I can't remember the name 😮. It had squid ink, marinara, spicy with garlic slices ...so so good. Anyone remember the name? Is is at Tokyo loft? Keep up the good work S!
OOh I will def have a look in Loft when I'm there later this year...my two favourite items I would always buy several of and bring home for myself, are apparently no longer available sadly...a friend couldn't find anywhere last year...green tea chocolate yatsuhashi, the crunchy cinnamon kind dipped in green tea choc from Kyoto in a cute tin box, I only ever found it at Kansai airport...and also a solid perfume that was so cute and lovely sakura scent, used to be all over Kyoto, nothing fancy, but I loved it...hopefully I will discover something new :)
i got a small build kit at donki and it came with both japanese and eng instructions, so i think there's a good chance the big ones at hands have eng instructions especially if they are marketing it as a souvenir
You became my new favourite youtuber, you have great energy and great content. I could seee the effort you have ade in to these videos. Can you make a video on how you are editing your videos too? I am planning to visit Japan (again) for my honey moon, any recommendations?! Such a romantic place to visit for relaxing environment?
Seera fr your videos are becoming top notch in quality, info and entertaining. id love you try to make short format content too; perhaps different pace
Loft, Hands and even ordinary chemists are all great options for souvenir hunting. One exception to that in my opinion is Donki, as I believe they're really overrated as a store when the exploration fun factor is excluded. Like, their products tend to be of cheaper quality and aren't necessarily that cheap price wise. To top it all off their typical product design is mega garish in a bad way😢 I only shop in Donki when there's absolutely no other option like when I desperately need a spare charger or something in 1am. Even in that situation though convenience stores usually offer reasonably priced stuff and are much more straightforward to navigate.
Would like to get the square Sakura Cray Pas oil pastels as my supplier in Australia stopped stocking them and they had cheap open stock. Is a nice wooden box you can get.
I should get some kitchen supplies at loft. Aqui en USA fui a Hello Tokyo y encounter costs de Daiso, no fenian buy buena calidad. Supongo que es como el dollar tree
Go to is the 1 kilo bags of green tea 😂 i used to get it at Tsukiji Market but those shops moved are closed, last time I was in Japan was in 2017, I went back in 2023 still found the green tea but it was Ueno. I picked up some hojicha and matcha also. Do you recommend any other places?
They have those kits at some don quijote locations and at kiddie land. I bought one from kiddie land and you’re right, the directions were completely in Japanese and even with pictures and google translate it was very difficult to put together 😢
Seera, genuine question - I'm going for the second time this Fall, and did most of the "big touristy" stuff last year What is one VERY underrated thing you would recommend buying / doing / trying - cheers from DK 💪🏽
She did a video on temple stays which you could check out. I stayed with my mom at a temple in Koyasan south of Osaka. It's amazing. Great food, tatami style room, Zen chanting in morning. So great
Let me take you souvenir shopping in Tokyo! 💞🛍 Which shop was your favourite & what are your go-to souvenirs?? Let me know!! 🍵
I like the Ramen spoon & fork which was invented by Sugakiya of a local ramen shop (Nagoya, Aichi-prefecture)🍜
Yes. Please visit Nagoya and make a video!!
Really nice video. I really enjoyed. Have an amazing day. 😊
Got all my souvenirs at the Ghibli store at diver city mall on Odaiba. I really wish I knew about character street before this trip. I could’ve taken care off all my souvenir/ gift shopping in one day. Next trip!! 🎁🛍️🛒
LOFT!!!!!
Daiso, donki, loft, Gu and Uniqlo are my places to shop. I miss shopping in Japan, so many cute things to buy!
Loft and Tokyu Hands has been my go to since the 90s. (No longer living there) Glad it's still relevant today!
I'm doing a 10 day solo trip in December, and I feel like the bulk of my itinerary is centered around shopping for gifts LOL.
I'll see you there!! Cause same lol
I'll be in Japan for 10 days in December too!
Whether in Japan, Europe or other Asian countries… I love visiting their supermarkets to look for local food stuff as souvenirs.. relatively cheap and unique
There are many big Donki outlets in different Asia countries now.. but the prices are not as cheap as in Japan
That Loft deserves a full walkthrough video, lots of nice things there!
It’s one of my fav Japanese shops for sure!
Saved this on my Japan 2025 playlist. Thanks for the recommendation!
When I'm in Japan and pop into a Donki I get overwhelmed and immediately regret it 😂 but getting big bags of matcha Kit Kats there is my go-to for souvenirs.
Yup!! I could handle it before it got crazyyy busy in Shinjuku, but now I need to avoid that Kabukicho location and go somewhere more local! 😝
The vibe you are creating in your videos is truely amazing 🔆
Thank you ☺️💞
This was a great type of video, would love a sequel someday!
I just came back from my trip to japan loaded up with good quality souvenirs at great prices oh and all the kit kat flavours too.
At Haneda Airport Garden, we always eat at Hanayama Udon, it’s so good!
I'd like to see some antenna shops as well. Perhaps for part 2 or a different kind of video, just exploring the different prefectures through the antenna shops in Tokyo.
Thank you for sharing.
Me want that Jiji mug! Hands, Daiso, and Donki are my go to whenever I'm in Japan.
I LOOOOOVVVVEEEE the mini sake barrel... I will buy one next time I'm in Japan, for sure... 😁
I bought one of those shop build kits on my last trip and opened it last week. Google translate has been very much needed!
I was thinking the same thing for my upcoming trip- good to know thanks
Museum shops are my go to pretty much anywhere in the world.
Another great video. Making souvenir shopping fun and sooo easy! Thanks
Great video ❤ Lol fellow Aussie here…we now have Daiso in most shopping centres around Australia…so if you buy a souvenir for family and friends from there, they are gonna know haha! 😂😜
as a person who has difficulty shopping this video is very helpful!
I love that Loft store! I bought an awesome Japanese egg roll pan there. Also love Japanese stationary, pens, skincare, face masks, sunscreen and ceramics. Galbo sweets are a must too
I feel like Village Vanguard is a less intense, mini Donki experience if you want something more sensory sensitive friendly.
Great suggestion!
Such a fun video with great souvenir ideas. Thanks.
Just reminds me of my parents and girlfriend running to Donki buying all the chocolate and skin care for their friends back home 😂
I'm Japanese.I'm glad you liked many items made in Japan😊
I loved the way you led, explained and the happiness you convey in your video. Greetings from Mexico!!
Thank you 😁✌️
i've been to loft twice but i did not know they had all that cool stuff. looks like a great place to buy gifts. also, i need to check out the shampoo/conditioner
I usually go to Donki when visiting for the top floor. They have rare liquor that's great for gifting.

Thanks for sharing this souvenir video!
I stumbled on Tokyo station character street on the day before my last day in Tokyo! Unfortunately it was closed but it had SO MUCH!!! We were looking for the Uniqlo to find Zelda shirts 😂 The station is such a massive maze!! 🛍️🎁🍵
For more local snacks I opt for Ueno. The Ameyayoko district is a treasure trove of snacks.
Hi Sarah, thank you for your great souvenir tips 🙂
Fantastic video subject! Your videos are an eye opener for us in the audience and I look forward to each one. Take care, Sara!!
What a cute mugs hahha. Thanks for the recommendation.
Without hesitation, the best one is the Rilakkuma Store 🐻at the Character Street.
I bought the DIY miniature unagi store and it didn't cross my mind then that instructions would be in japanese haha but thankfully there were youtube videos showing how they built it so i managed to complete it in the end
Fantastic! All the stores I'll shop at.
Just take all of the KitKat flavours. They are truly unique and food is the best to share. Also tiny sizes.
編集が素晴らしい!

We just got a Daiso and Teso here! I'm so excited and happy!
Much love from Arizona 💜💜
As a budget traveler Daiso is my go-to for souvenirs.
Biggest gem in Japan is the presenter 😊
i got a small build kit at donki and it came with both japanese and eng instructions, so i think there's a good chance the big ones at hands have eng instructions especially if they are marketing it as a souvenir
I love Daiso. I bought my 100 yen bottle opener from there and have kept it in my wallet for 15+ years now...
Oh girl you got me in trouble!! I’ll be in Tokyo mid September and now i have to bring another suitcase 😅
You became my new favourite youtuber, you have great energy and great content. I could seee the effort you have ade in to these videos.

Great stuff! I never knew about most of these I usually just head to Don Quixote lol so will check them out next time
Heading to Japan in Sept. Thanks for the tips 😊
That Ghibli store is so beautiful. That plates are so cute! Love your channel! ❤ Hugs from Chile
That Ghibli store is a real gem! 🌱 Thank you!
Getting a bunch of little snack bags as gifts for kids sounded like the best advice here! Great idea 🙂
Get nail clippers, I don't know why they're so good, but they're amazing.
They have those little glass hanging decorations I want so bad...I know where I'm going, Tokyu Hands. :D
Super helpful video - thank you!
There is more food at the Daiso outlets in Australia these days it seems. For them to stay open during lockdowns they had to have food.
Seera fr your videos are becoming top notch in quality, info and entertaining. id love you try to make short format content too; perhaps different pace
We have one of build kits. The one we had had ikea like instructions with no words
Uahhhh!!!, amazing souvernirs! I want buy everthing😂😂😂!
I wanted everything too!! ahha
Daiso’s are starting to open up here in New Zealand 👍🏼
Ayeeee nice!
My friends always ask for Family Mart Line Socks!
Oh great, just what I didn’t need, more temptations, er tips, for how to spend my money. Hehe
My favorite suvetionor is maybe sake cups or coffee cups..and fancy cookies if not too expensive like bean cookies😂😂😂😂

One thing my friends really like are the charms you can buy at temples.
I love your eyeshadow, it’s so pretty! Would you be willing to share what brand you use?
excellent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!many ideas...
U was blasting, that commerce with prospero
Those vegan cup noodle are at the Daiso in San Jose, California near the Mitsuwa; but more like $4 USD? That Jiji mug is rad!
the Daiso in usa, for my location, the ¥100 is like $1.50 as the lowest price, and then it goes higher from there.
Oh my god the Japanese are nuts, I love it
Would like to get the square Sakura Cray Pas oil pastels as my supplier in Australia stopped stocking them and they had cheap open stock. Is a nice wooden box you can get.
八重洲の豆知識:八重洲という地名は、1600年に日本に漂着したオランダ人航海者ヤン・ヨーステンが将軍・徳川家康から拝領(与えられた)した屋敷の地に由来します。
You have the cutest laugh on YT!
Sarah du gehst ja richtig auf beim Einkaufen. Süß! ❤
your eyes are on point
I should get some kitchen supplies at loft. Aqui en USA fui a Hello Tokyo y encounter costs de Daiso, no fenian buy buena calidad. Supongo que es como el dollar tree

Oh no 😭 sorry to hear that.. They seem like super complicated guides, but I hope you can piece it together ;(
Please visit Nagoya and make a video! 💯
You sound so cute when you say Japanese words...
Basically, bring an extra (empty) suitcase or buy one when you're there. And cash. Lots of it. LOL.
Spoon + fork = spork 🤭
Please let me know where area sells the super Mario soap dispenser, my twin sister is a mega fan of Mario 😊
Saw it at the Donki in Shinjuku!
is it a spork, or a fpoon?
Seera, genuine question - I'm going for the second time this Fall, and did most of the "big touristy" stuff last year

She did a video on temple stays which you could check out. I stayed with my mom at a temple in Koyasan south of Osaka. It's amazing. Great food, tatami style room, Zen chanting in morning. So great
